I tend to like a more thin NY style pizza and this place is a little more like a Greek style pizza I would say. The salads they offer are a good size and very filling. Really wanted pizza and I figured this would be good to try. Most of the places around Wickeden are great so I was looking forward to it. I know my pizza places and even Minerva is better than this. Got the Greek D'lite-er and steak n cheese pizza. The former has "lite" in the title but was heavy on mozzarella but I don't mind that. It didn't have olives on it and I assume that was a mistake. Greek anything includes olives. It was so salty that neither one of us could even eat it. Not sure why that was but I have never had that happen before. Latter pizza was light on steak but heavy on mushrooms, peppers and onions. More bearable but still not good. Asked gf to describe the crust without saying cardboard and she said "paper mache with a hint of wheat". I used the yelp deal and she said it was still $39. Ordered a medium wheat crust, pineapple, bacon, fresh mozzarella pizza from this location the other day and it was delicious, the consistency of the crust for this item was between soft and chewy without having to worry about crunchy bits getting everywhere. What I enjoyed about this experience was the overall satisfaction of the pizza as I was able to split this medium pizza with someone else and it still filled us both where we had to put two slices away for the next day. (Cold pizza from this place taste great too) Pros: Sauce to Cheese ratio was perfect Size of bacon (real bacon) was A++ Crust / dough Fresh Pineapple bites Red Pizza Sauce Cons: Pineapple pieces a bit large, would suggest being sliced down to more manageable pieces. Bacon could have been portioned on each slice a bit better, some pieces had more than others. The veggy crust for the pizza was no longer available on the menu. Ending statement: I would suggest that Providence locals give this place a try as it is tasty. The tardy hipster's dream come true. Or as my fiancee says, "Deliciously expensive." I have a love/hate relationship with Pizza Pie-Er. On the one hand, their thin, multigrain crust rocks my taste buds to oblivion while their fresh herbs and cheeses send me aglow. It's like watching poetry down the hatch. On the other hand, their regular crust is thick and tasteless while their chicken has a strange, gamy smell. Usually I would simply avoid said items but the thing is, two large pies can easily set you back $40.00-50.00. Yup. I kid you not. And for forty bucks, I expect my crust full of flavour, my chicken moist and tender and my pizza box made of 14K solid gold. While I absolutely loved their "light choice" options, the regular pizzas failed to blow me away. Specifically I thought their meats were a little on the funky side: we gave the chicken repeated tries and on more than one occasion, the pieces were as hard as a rock. The shrimp were also a little less than fresh on the several times we attempted them. Service-wise, it is very true that they will deliver through the roughest storms with a smile. There were a couple occasions they royally screwed up my orders but they were more than willing to fix it. Sadly though, they appear to pick and choose the places they'll bring your tasties.. they would deliver to my old apartment on Vernon but they won't deliver to where I'm living now which is about one mile CLOSER than where I was before. Hm. The idea is good and generally speaking, the prices in theory wouldn't actually be as bad if we were getting what we paid for. If we're ever in the area (which we rarely are) I'd rather grab Japanese for the price. I'm sorry Pizza Pier but two pizzas are so not worth half a hundred. Pizza Pie-er pizza isn't quite Sicilian style, New York style, or Chicago style. If I had to describe it (and I guess I kinda do, right? That's the whole thing about these darn Yelp reviews!), I would say it is like a gourmet, filling-as-all-heck Pizza Hut style pizza. Without the cheese in the crust, of course. To give you a sense of how substantial their pizzas are: I can usually eat a whole New York style pizza by myself, but I typically throw in the towel after two or three Pizza Pie-er slices. The crust is buttery and thick, and the choice of flavors is available. I usually stick with the white crust as it is my general preference, but I think different flavors taste better with different sauces and toppings. For example, I've found that the pesto pizza tastes good with the slightly sweeter wheat crust. I personally think the veggie crust severely colonizes the overall taste of the pizza as a whole; and the multi-grain crust is a bit too much of a grainy health-fest for me. To each her own, though, and I like the fact that pizza personalization is taken so seriously here. With 11 sauces and 33 toppings, they ain't joking about tailored pizza design. Their list of already-assembled specialty pizzas are well-crafted options, in case one is overwhelmed with all the choices. My personal favorites: the cajun chicken (the green olives are perfect!) and the francesca. Finally, the fine art of the personal pizza is a practice that lives on at Pizza Pie-er. No joke, last night at midnight, my partner and I ordered two wicked randomly-chosen personal pizzas because we had the late-night munchies and we were in no shape to cook anything delicious. Pizza Pie-er delivered them to our door, around 12:20am, for $13! No joke! That is painless personalized customer service at its pizza peak! read more

Yup, still a huge fan of this place. Honestly, I would get pizza here twice a week if my wallet and waistline could afford it. This is my go-to pizza place because I have never had a bad pizza here. It is consistently excellent, and that makes me want to shout their praises from the rooftops. I drool a bit when I see their logo--I won't lie to you. In addition to just have delicious crust and sauce options, they're also venturing into the brave new world of gluten free crust and vegan pizza. I have not tried either of these options yet, but it warms the cockles of my heart to know that they make an effort to include people with less-than-mainstream food wants/needs. Honestly, the main reason I started getting their pizza all the time is that they actually have vegetarian options! Good ones! There's also the whole customer service thing, which is also excellent.
