A tasty cheese slice. Nice cheese and sauce ratio, in a perfect word I would add 25% more sauce. Proper fold, crunch and minimal tip flop. The dough had a nice texture but was bland. I would definitely go again. Would skip the pepperoni- seems they are using the same thin sliced super salty over fennelled pepperoni many places use in RI. Never been inside, only ever ordered delivery. I don't like the salads... At all. However, amazing pizza and calzones. A large pizza is abnormally large. A medium pizza is everyone else's large. So you can feed a lot off a smaller pizza. Definitely worth checking out this place. read more

Last pier pizza I've eaten at was the store front at the old pit and patio location in the pier village (Narragansett) That may have been the original location, but no longer there. It was really good there. This location is pretty much just a few young kids working. Restuarant is tiny with a couple if tables and chairs. Very old and unkept from what I can see and I didn't need to look any more than I did. Otherwise I may not have stayed and ordered. Ordered a medium Brooklyn special which costed just under $16.00 Now mind you the is very little toppings on their pizzas. The toppings are light because the pie is stretched thin so the pie needs to cook fast and toppings will not cook properly and the crust will not support the added weight and moisture. Other than a complete clean out and wash down of the interior the pie is still pretty good. read more

Update: I've gotten Pier Pizza twice now since my original review, and unfortunately, it seems that first perfect pie was a fluke. The once thin, crisp crust is now so saturated with grease that it bends at a 90 degree angle at the base of the slice. If this was my first visit, I wouldn't leave a review, because it would be 1 Star, and I don't leave those. But, since I'm still hoping that maybe onnneeee more future visit will restore my faith, I'll meet at middle ground and settle for a 3. Best NY style in Warwick. Huge pizza, huge slices. This is as close to the "real deal" authentic NY style pizza as you can get. The dough, sweet and chewy. The toppings tasted fresh and I could distinguish it in almost every bite. The only discrepancy I have with this pizza is the sauce; it's not what makes a pizza, but is a critical factor that adds to the symphony of taste and mouthfeel of the pie. It lacks in depth... Something that I can't quite put me finger on. Maybe some more salt? Maybe a little more sauce in general? This pizza is by far one of the best pizzas in town, but when a pizza joint claims to be the "authentic NY pizza" like it does, it should deliver that, (no pun intended). The cheese (which I asked extra for) was minimal. My only guess was what a regular pizza would have been without the extra request.. As far as this pizza goes, it would have been a solid 5 stars in my book if they haven't put the "Authentic NY Pizza" label on it. If you're looking for a great, great thin crust pizza with the perfect dough bite that you can eat and not throw away, this is the place. I would personally ask for extra sauce and extra cheese. I really enjoy a nice slice...and this pizza spot is right up the road. Ideal for the post-Turkey day dinner.... This NY style pizza features fold-in-half slices that have a corn meal crunchy bottom made perfectly crisp. The sauce plays a minor role...not at all spicy with almost a marinara consistency, but not full of large tomato bits (a deal breaker for the huz and the kids). The cheese is always spread to perfection and melted to ooey-gooey, stretchy yumminess. Never burnt. We usually go with a large, half sausage & mushroom, half cheese. Feeds our family of five (with a four year old "snacker") with a couple slices to spare if I throw together a bagged salad on the side. We have never eaten there...and I've never seen anyone sitting in the dozen or so seats at the tables. Seems clean. I HAVE grabbed a slice here from time to time...good for a quick solo bite on the run. Never had the calzoni or salads but they look good. Also never tried the subs... Pizza delivery. Great pizza! I prefer a thicker crust or else I would have given 5 stars. Despite this, the crust, sauce and toppings were yummy. There were a lot of specialty options for pizza, although we got somethings simple (mainly because my husband thinks that only red sauce should go on pizza). The staff was super friendly and played along with my husband seeing the label of their "grape soda" as "rape soda" (the G was hidden) and the employee said, "I assure you, sir, that is not rape soda." I've always loved this place. Always had great pizza, but last night was a disappointment to say the least. I ordered as normal, this time a double cheeseburger pizza. Picked it up, went home and when we went to eat it, it was burnt. Crust was hard as a rock, and so was the meat. You couldn't even taste the cheese or the sauce. We tried to eat it but couldn't. Honestly, a few years back, my cousin told me to order the buffalo chicken calzone, at first I was hesitant but it is expertly crafted. If you are a buffalo chicken fan, the buffalo chicken calzone is a must order. The mix of cheeses, the taste, and the heat radiating off of it gives it an addicting bite. Since the buffalo chicken calzone was the first thing I have ever tried from this place, I have never moved on to ordering pizza. If you are hungry on a Sunday night or want to watch the game in a lazy manner, Order a buffalo chicken calzone and cheesy bread and you will not be disappointed. They have stayed consistent with their creations for the length of my ordering from there. The calzone alone will fill up most men, at around 10 -12 bucks (including tip) you can't go wrong. The only reason I am giving it a 5 star is because of its shear consistency over the years and its ability to subsequently satisfy me. Prepare to get messy. read more

My new favorite pizza place. Been coming here for a couple of months now and the pizza is solid. Service is good - they never get our order wrong and the kids at the front are always polite and friendly. It is definitely NY style pizza. My dad is from NY and loves this pizza almost as much as me! The veggie delight is so so so good - highly recommend. Large slices that you fold in half and the end of the slice still bends because there are so many toppings on it...do you need to know more? Ok fine - Get a large cheese cooked well done and you'll think you're in NYC. The only thing I'd recommend is giving the place a facelift...although when the pizza is that good, who cares what the chairs/tables look like.
