I have to say I do like the pizza! But the people who work there answering the phones and taking the orders seem absolutely miserable. Even one of my associates that work for me because our office is around the corner has stated he stopped going there cause people seem so unhappy that work there. I once called and asked to speak to the manager and a woman told me she was the manager, and she had the biggest attitude I'd go to Dimitri's now I'm always greeted with a warm smile and welcome! This place is mostly for take out, but there are a few tables, so we sat to eat our large pepperoni pizza, which was rectangle, for those rectangle pizza lovers! We actually ordered the pizza when we got there, and didn't have to wait super long for a Friday night. The pizza was steaming hot!! Plenty of pepperoni for sure. For me, the sauce was missing something. And there was a lot. I like less, personally. The pizza was ok, and the pepperoni was good. There was a LOT of garlic on the pizza , a bit too much for this Italian girl. That is why there is a 3 star. I wish I had known about the garlic before! So, it was ok. Service was fast and friendly. Our favorite Warwick pizza...never disappoints...Outstanding pizza! I ordered a small vegan pizza with sauce, onions, peppers, mushrooms, and olives, and it was perfect. If they had vegan cheese, that would be even better, but it was absolutely wonderful without it cooked to perfection. The veggies weren't raw they were cooked nicely, were cut so nice in size not too big, very nice amount of sauce which is amazing in flavor and then we also got a spinach pie and although it had Parmesan, I was able to eat it, and it was outstanding, hit the spot and loaded with fiber. read more

This pizza was delicious. I was in town from Michigan this past week and my aunt, cousins, and I got Pizza King takeout - four or five gigantic pizzas. It was almost Detroit-style deep dish (square) pizza but not as thick. We got a BBQ chicken one, a half sausage/half cheese one, a veggie pizza, and a pepperoni. My favorite was the pepperoni but the barbecue chicken was also delicious and so was the veggie one. I did not try the half sausage half cheese one. I can't speak to pricing because my aunt treated all of us but it was very tasty. I had three slices and I kind of wanted another but I refrained. I come to Warwick at least once a year but I had never tried Pizza King before, I will have to ask to have it again next time I'm in town. read more

Visited pizza king on a recent business trip. Service was ok, nothing to write home about. Typical local pizza place. Pizza parlor vibes , location set up a little odd. Didn't have pizza , had a pastrami sandwich and some chips. Pastrami sandwich was a bit on the expensive side and not a lot of meat. Sandwich was tasty and location was quiet being there was only one other customer. I would definitely go back to try some pizza, looks like it might be good. They have two slices of pizza and a drink for 7.50 or something like that, not a bad price. Give this place a shot. read more

Normal little pizza place inside. Good calzones, really good pizza, however, it's a bit more greasy than other surrounding pizza places. I highly recommend the Italian grinder pizza. Great sandwiches too. I'm picky with my chicken salad and there's is homemade but omg so good. Love that you get a little side of their homemade macaroni salad with each sandwich too. We've always loved the pizza from Pizza King but the last few times we ordered, the pizza dough was swimming in oil. It was almost inedible. The first time we thought it was 'just one of those days' type of thing but when the next pizza came out the same way, we were very disappointed. Haven't gone back since. read more

Pizza King in Warwick is my favorite local pizza joint has been for over 20 years! My favorite thing to order there is a broccoli and tomato pie. I always get it because it is delicious and they never let me down. Was disappointed to walk into a dirty restaurant on a Monday evening and be served by a woke young lady who thought it was more important to tell you how to behave than serve hot food. She couldn't figure out how to close a to go box, how to give a receipt, or how to listen. Instead, she knew how to text on her phone, give attitude, and tell you about ordering etiquette. So I walked in to grab my slice as part of #bestpizzari and was not overly optimistic about Pizza King. The shop is in a strip mall and pretty unassuming. Man was I glad my first impression was wrong. When I got there they told me that the Pepperoni was about 5 minutes from coming out the oven. I was glad I waited, because it was one of the better slices of pizza I have had in a while. The crust was chewy but had a nice crispness to it. The sauce was solid. It had great flavor and really complimented the cheese. The cheese, oh the cheese! There was a perfect amount of cheese on the slice, just enough that you had to dab a small amount of grease off the slice. The pepperoni was solid as well. It was cooked just long enough that they crisped up on the edges a little bit to give you the prefect little bit of crunch. A definite winner in my book! read more

Not really sure why people would recommend this place , I mean if it's your only option go for it , but drive the extra 10 minutes and go to Providence for Pizza and calzones . They have a special 2 pizza slices and a drink of your choice for 5.75 , but it's not worth it . The pizza sauce is so sweet never had sweet sauce before . The crust was extremely burnt and had way to much garlic. My friend said the pizza tasted like frozen pizza that the store sells for 1.00 and I'm not talking about Celeste ( I love Celeste ) . Me and my friend both also ordered spinach pies and even looking at them you can tell they weren't going to be good . They were over cooked to a point I couldn't even bite it . Staff is very rude. I get a cheese pizza and as I'm eating it it turns out there's bacon and chicken in most of it. I brought it to the girl that works in the front and told her, she was very rude and dismissive, didn't even offer to replace it for me. I was staying at a nearby hotel and decided to give this place a try. The reviews were mixed, but I was hoping to see the rude employee mentioned in all the posts. Of course, it was not business as usual with everything going on. The shop was clean, has distancing markings on the floor and had plexiglass set up, as expected. I got a hot italian grinder and a slice of pepperoni to try. Both were really good. I should have just ordered one, as they were very filling. The staff was not friendly, but not rude either. Pizza is super yummy. I love how the pepperoni has a crisp to it. I ordered fries it was super burnt very disappointed because it's the 2nd time the fries were burned. The texture fries they use are skinny and I believe they have the fire up too high. FYI please stop burning the fries I understand we like it crispy but not burned. read more

This place was recommended by the receptionist at the hotel I'm staying in. When I placed the order, they said it should take between 45 and 60 minutes to arrive. It took 90 minutes to arrive. The pizza has absolutely no warmth to it whatsoever, as if it's been sitting out for the last 90 minutes. The chicken strips were hot at one point because the lid is completely soaked with condensation from the steam and the chicken strips are soggy. At least I got my two diet Cokes correct. Never been before but Pizza in Warwick is rapidly going downhill. The lousy places are still lousy and the old timers that used to have the best pizza are retiring or selling out. I didn't have high expectations for PIZZA KING. Don't know if it was the name or strip mall location that worried me. What a pleasant surprise!!! It was fantastic quite possibly the new go to spot.
