An unexpected local cafe that was pumping on the weekend. It was definitely packed, but we opted to sit outside where there were tables available. We would have preferred indoors since it was cold that day but we didn't want to wait. Our server, Brackus (I hope I spelt his name correctly) was very friendly and helpful. Always checking up on us to see that we were ok and giving us updates on our order. One of the best servers we've had when dining out. The Al pastor Benedict was recommended by Brackus. It definitely was one that hit the spot. We were able to swap over the potatoes over for hash instead which was fantastic as I always prefer hash browns over plain potatoes. It was full of flavour and made me very happy. The big easy scrambler, was decent but Al pastor definitely the highlight and standout of our foodventure. So nice, we did it twice. We went to both the Winter Park and Orlando location. The menu is extensive and changes seasonally. The servers were very warm and attentive. They seem very festive as well. Atmosphere in both is very cute but the Orlando location is more spacious. We went on a weekend to the Winter Park location, and in true brunch fashion it is packed! The good part is you can make your reservation through Yelp. I enjoyed my pecan praline french toast, but it does cool quickly and dry out. Just eat fast! My food was ok. Slightly above average but not memorable. I ordered one of the specials, braised short ribs served over cheesy grits. Can't remember whether it was Gouda or Manchego, but that's immaterial because the taste of cheese was largely absent. I've just eaten at Another Broken Egg Cafe for the third and final time. I'd legit rather eat at McDonalds than this slow, underwhelming, over-cheesed, under-flavored joint. The first time I ate here, my pancakes came out cold. Okay, fine. Everyone has a bad day. The second time, I ordered an omelet. This also came out cold and...I'm not sh*tting you here...the thing was like 40% melted cheese which had hardened to nearly being a crust. On top of the cold, cheesy, and unappetizing food, service was slow and negligent (even on a slow Thursday morning). Now this third and final time, there's a caveat. I ordered delivery through Uber Eats. However, when my food (a scramble with potatoes & English muffin) shows up...I have a spoonful of potatoes, no English muffin, and I'd hazard a guess to say my scramble was an astounding 65% cheese. It was also cold, gluey, and greasy. My wife's pancakes were fine, but missing half of the toppings we paid for. The food here is so unappetizing and mediocre and yet they charge nearly $20 a plate. The value does not show up in the meal, however, though I imagine real estate in Winter Park Village is pricey. This place will continue being successful despite the absolutely mediocre food and poor service, which is a shame. If you're comfortable paying this much money for a mediocre breakfast/brunch, more power to you. I just paid $65 for food I threw into the garbage (where Another Broken Egg's food truly belongs, imho). Lesson learned. read more

Pretty good combination of flavors I might add. The City Grits was pretty good as well. This was the only version of Gouda infused grits that was fluffy almost, like it was whipped by hand. I ordered the smoked salmon Benedict, which had a bagel instead of an English muffin, whipped cream cheese, capers, onions, smoked salmon, and a poached egg. No hollandaise sauce for this. It came with a choice of regular grits or potatoes. You could also do fruit or their special city grits for an upcharge. I ordered the fruit since I was trying to be healthy, but I got to taste the city grits and they were the best part of the meal. They come with bacon, chives, tomatoes, and Gouda cheese. Just heavenly. The Benedict itself was just ok. The bagel was kind of soggy and needed to be toasted more. There was barely any cream cheese or smoked salmon on it, so not every bite had stuff to it. The fruit was good but not worth the $2.50 upcharge. That seems like a high price just to be able to substitute a healthy alternative. Why can't something healthy be an option to begin with? I just thought for the price and what you got it needed more. More stuff overall to make my Benedict a complete meal. I did like the mimosas. They had a few interesting flavor options to choose from, but there again one single mimosa was $8, which I thought for the size was a bit steep. The coffee was lukewarm, and when asked for another one, the new one came out lukewarm as well. At least the service was pretty good, and the server was kind enough to take the coffee off our bill since we didn't drink it. It was busy when we arrived so our wait was about 45 mins which was fine, even though we saw people arrive after us get seated before and yes we said either inside or outside, whatever became available first. 45 mins pass and we finally get seated. They have a pretty balanced menu with everything from traditional and sweet waffles, pancakes and french toast to specialty omelettes to quinao bowls and avocado toast. This time around I went with the corned beef and brussel hash special. Fresh corned beef with a bed of seasoned potatoes and tomatoes along with a poached egg on top....heaven! I also got a taste of the croissant french toast, YUM!! Whoever thought to make french toast out of delicious croissants and top it with chocolate sauce is genius!! Warning for all my southerners, they cook their grits with milk! I was a little hesitant to try them, but I took a spoonful, and they weren't that bad.
