The food is mostly good here, usually. There was no wait on a Saturday morning at 930am, so that was good, considering it's Winter Park. Service was fast and friendly. The coffee was ok, tasted a little burnt. The food tased good. They were out of biscuits... on a Saturday morning... and a handful of their menu items included biscuits. So they substituted other bread items instead. It was a little off putting how dirty things look when you are sitting there looking around. Every booth has this fabric backing and it's very dirty... The floors are a little too dirty for so early on a Saturday. You can tell that when they mop the floors, they don't move furniture... you can see the mop marks and the dirt that is left. Overall, we were a little dissatisfied with the appearance of the place. I think if they spend some money into updating their booths, and reeducating about proper cleaning techniques, the presentation of the restaurant would be a lot better. I went to Another Broken Egg Cafe, located in the Winter Park Village plaza, and overall it was a mixed experience. They have a really extended menu for both breakfast and brunch, with a lot of options to choose from. I got to try the biscuits and gravy, and honestly they were just okay nothing too special, but not bad either. The service is where things got a little rough. We went around 12 noon, and it was super busy. Our waitress was clearly overwhelmed, and our order was taking forever. Unfortunately, we had to leave before trying more dishes because of the wait. One thing I did appreciate was that they gave us beignets on the house since it was our first time, which was a really nice touch. The place itself has a very rustic, country-style vibe, which I liked, it feels cozy and fits the brunch atmosphere. My mom had the Bourbon Street Pancakes (with a side of medium fried egg and chicken sausage). Of course, she let me have some of her pancakes too because DUH!!! As expected, everything was DELICIOUS - especially those pancakes. Portion sizes are great - it's plenty of food. They offer tons of drinks & libations if you want to get a little morning cocktail vibe going. If not, they have plenty of non-alcoholic beverage options. Prices points are very reasonable and more importantly, for the quality of food you're getting, it's all worth it! The staff is amazing. Our server today, Lila H., was absolutely fantastic!! This locale gets busy on the weekends, but it's pretty easy-going during week day - especially during the morning. The service is speedy during this timeframe as well. On the weekend when it's busier, the wait can get long, but I promise it's worth it. There's a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating and the overall decor mimics that of a mom and pop eatery. Very homey but also has French / Cajun moments that pay homage to its founding city. All in all, this was a great morning breakfast with my fav gal, my mom, prior to starting my work day. We used to go to Another Broken Egg Cafe in Charlotte, NC, when we lived there. It started out good and then each time we visited, it got worse and worse. We finally stopped going...and the restaurant eventually closed. So I was a little bit hesitant to go years later when we moved to Orlando. We finally visited the Winter Park location, and...WOW. I was super impressed with the modernized décor, menu, quality of food, and the service. I joined the waitlist on the drive, so by the time we got there, we only had a wait a couple of minutes after checking in on a very busy Sunday morning. The menu was very different from what I remember. There seemed to be a lot more (and better) choices from years ago. I ordered the Mardi Gras omelet. It was delicious, so full of flavorful crawfish, and smothered in a tomato hollandaise. Yum! This experience has changed my impression of Another Broken Egg Café, and we plan on adding it to our weekend breakfast rotation. I have only utilized the takeout service for the Orlando location so can't speak much about the ambiance. From what I can tell, the restaurant is always packed so it's clear people like the food. When I arrived to pick all the curbside takeout spots were taken. So I called to let the restaurant know. I asked if I could park in an open spot near the designated curbside up and they were able to accommodate my request. They easily spotted me and brought my food. Food is solid. She was attentive without ever feeling overbearing, communicated everything clearly, and friendly. She also knew the menu inside and out, which made choosing dishes so much easier. My husband and I were close by for an appointment and decided to pop into Another Broken Egg Cafe for a quick bite. The hostess was very friendly and greeted us as soon as we waked in! She asked us if this was our first time coming in. When I told her yes she grabbed a glass mug with a paper in it and placed it on our table. She said that was to let the waitress know we would get free beignets! That was a nice treat! They were light and fluffy inside with a nice crust outside served with a yummy orange marmalade. They were delicious with coffee. I ordered the chicken and waffles. The waffles were fluffy and light. The chicken was a little dry for my taste, but had a nice crust. My husband had the pancakes and in house made patty sausage. He said the pancakes were good and the sausage had nice spices. It's really cute inside. The service was slow. It took a long time to get our food and i had to ask 3 times just to get more coffee. In their defense our waiter said a cook, a dishwasher and a waitress called out so they were short staffed. I wish I could give this more stars but I cannot in good conscience. A good friend and my wife and I went there after Mass this morning. Now I have been at the Another Broken Egg by the airport and there is not comparison. The airport location is far better. I felt that the service a little slow and yet they really weren't too busy yet. The food was just ok. Now the real reason for a 1 star. Our friend fell on a wet spot walking to the restrooms. The only people to help or even to show concern were other customers. After she got back to the table, she had to ask two times for ice for her knee. No-one made any effort to clean up the spot where she fell. From the time our friend returned to the table, it took a good 10-15 minutes for the manager to come to the table then tell her she needed to fill out an incident report. Not an I'm sorry; are you ok, etc. He left and eventually returned to the table to fill out an incident report. To say the least our breakfast was ruined by this incident. She had to tell the manager that he needed to comp the meal. He wasn't about to do that. In my opinion, he should have comped the whole table but just did just her meal. Now I am not looking for free meals but our enjoyment was dashed and we couldn't wait to get out of there. Customers showed more care and passion then employees and management as customers were asking me if she was ok. Nothing like ruining breakfast. I will say out of these three choices, Broken Egg has my least favorite food in terms of quality and taste, but their beverage selection is probably the strongest. My husband and I both sat at the bar. The Strawberry Mimosa and Boozy Caramel Cold Brew were amazing. The service at the bar was very friendly and quick! Especially since it was Mother's Day. The food was simply not good. We both ordered biscuit egg sandwiches. The biscuit was hard as a rock on both sandwiches. The side of potatoes tasted like it came out of a certain red bag you'd find in the frozen food department. The dining room and restrooms were clean. We had high expectations for this restaurant. Boy, were we disappointed. The place was big. It was pretty noisy. We walked in and the restaurant was half empty and we were told that we had to wait for 10-15 minutes. When we sat down, the server took our order for drinks. The menu looked great. So many choices for breakfast. The server was kind and answered all of our questions. I ordered the lobster and Brie omelette. It looked really nice on the plate. I ordered the English muffin to be well done and it looked as if it had barely been cooked. The omelette was extremely salty. In some parts of the omelette, it was barely edible. And to top it off, it was luke warm with frozen butter for the English muffin. My husband ordered the supreme omelette. He had the same problem with the butter and the omelette was dry. He didn't like the extremely strong coffee (and not in a good way. The restaurant looked so nice from the outside and the menu was all encompassing. Too bad that the delivery was so poor. There are breakfast and lunch items that are health and calorie-conscious, and then there are indulgences for the person who is saying to themselves, "I've had a long week and want to pig out!" Cross between a local joint and a restaurant chain. Was clean and the service was friendly and prompt. They offered 2 types of coffee. First, I had the medium roast and found it a tad dull. So I switched to the dark roast, which I enjoyed. For my entree, I got the Bourbon Street Pancakes. Which included 3 large pancakes, banana slices, and a buttery Bourbon sauce that had the most wonderful taste. I was full yet wanted to try and finish but couldn't since it included eggs and bacon.
