Disappointed. My last visit was probably 1.5-2 yrs ago, the menu was the same but the presentation was completely different. The salmon avocado toast today was on untoasted plain bread; ingredients seemed plated from a (store brand) can, was priced over $12. The food tasted pretty good but the table was dirty and the staff seemed unfamiliar with processes. Everyone was polite and trying, I suspect there is new management. Just bothers me bc business seems to be a bait and switch- as soon as a brand is established they quit caring about the product and the craft. read more

Delicious! Very busy when we arrived but luckily a part of our party (of 6) had reserved a table on line and it worked! We all ordered meals, which with 3 kids I was hoping to see a kids menu, but she did allow me to order waffles for them without the sides. This place was eggcelent!! would go back if lived in the area. read more

Enjoyed this restaurant, overall. Went around noon on a Saturday, and had about a 20 minute wait for a table for 2. The server described the restaurant to us as a "California/New Orleans infusion". Service was a little on the slow side, and we had to wait longer than usual to get our check after we had finished eating, but otherwise the staff was friendly and accommodating. We ordered the Biscuits & Gravy, Shrimp & Grits, Blackberry Grits, and Corned Beef Hash. The Blackberry Grits were just OK, not a whole lot of flavor going on except for when you had a berry in your bite. The Corned Beef was really good, but definitely not traditional hash. It was definitely "homemade" though, and had plenty of flavor. The Biscuits & Gravy was good, but they were a bit stingy with the gravy, so by the time you were finishing off the biscuits, you were out of gravy. This dish came with eggs and "home fries" that were basically just salted (very salted) crispy potatoes. It also came with two real sausage patties - not the heat-and-serve kind you're used to getting, but legit crafted sausage patties. The Shrimp & Grits was phenomenal. They were not stingy with the shrimp in this dish; there must have been 20 of them in it, along with bites of Andouille sausage diced peppers and a Cajun style sauce on top. This dish had the perfect amount of spice for a nice kick without being overwhelming. read more

My family and I just had a most delicious brunch at Another Broken Egg. We have had great meals there many times before but what stood out the most on this visit was our server, Bracus. I can't remember the last time I had a server that was this spectacular to the extent of when we go back I would wait for a table in his section to become available. 5 star service and kindness!!! read more

Our server, Bratus was exceptional. Great food and service. Felt I was being served by a friend and not an unnamed server.

Waited 30 mins to be seated once the server came to tell us the kitchen was 45 mins behind the hostess didn't tell us nothing we had to leave lack of communication are first time there no we going back read more

Welcome Bacchus, server extraordinaire. Great breakfast from the hash brown croquettes to the beignets to the gluten free pancakes. Oh, and the Bloody Mary, don't forget the Bloody. Well worth your time if you are looking for breakfast in Winter Park. We were completely satisfied. read more

I'm very happy with the service my family and I received here today. With short staffing and long wait times, Arthur was a patient and relaxed server. These are pandemic realities but ABE handled them with ease. Can't make an omelette without a few broken eggs! read more

Zach was our server (celebrating an anniversary) with some of my sorority sisters and he was very attentive, he had great recommendations for a number of picky eaters (the French toast combo was great!) and he even taught us a few tricks on taking the perfect picture! Late breakfast at Another Broken Egg. Pancakes were delicious...not sure what the sausage was made out of but were different..almost like a hamburger patty. My husband had sausage biscuit and gravy. The gravy was lukewarm and the biscuit wasn't soft or didn't seem fresh. Potatoes were seasoned well and we're plentiful. Waitress was very attentive. read more

Very good quality food and excellent service. I'm taking a star for not offering espresso coffee varieties, for me a good latte, cappuccino or mocha is essential on my breakfast/brunch. The option to get on the guest list ahead of time is very convenient specially if you come from afar. I wish there was Another Broker Egg closer to my place, I'd probably be hitting it every weekend. read more

Three and a half stars - hoping to come back & get a dish I like better to up the rating to the 4 I think it probably deserves. --- First time at restaurant and I sat at the bar. Bartenders are busy, but look for when you're ready to order and come around often enough. Many options on the menu looked good. There are enough unique options to keep it interesting. I got the Skinny Omelette. I couldn't taste the herbs or goat cheese in it, but otherwise it was as described. I put their house pepper sauce on it (I'm big on hot sauce on eggs). The sauce really improved the eggs, but I would probably request other hot sauces in the future. It was more subtle and had little to no heat. The asparagus was generous and still a bit crisp, so that was great. The veggies were the best part of the dish. I plan to come again, but not order the Skinny Omelette. Those around me were all really happy with their dishes. The chicken Caesar salad was huge. ---- 11 am on a Sunday is busy, but not overwhelming wait for those of us with small parties or those willing to sit outside on a hot July day. It was busier when I left just after noon, but still not crazy wait as long as your party wasn't more than 4 or you would got outside. Mostly booths for parties of 2 or 4, so they couldn't have more than 2-3 large parties at a time with the tables in the middle. read more

Another Broken Egg Cafe - Brunch at the bar - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Winter Park, Florida

My mom and I have been going out to breakfast every Saturday morning for years. Our system: I type "breakfast" in my GPS, and if we haven't been there, off we go. Our range is anywhere from Lake Mary to Dr. Phillips and we have had some incredible meals (Se7en Bites, for example, but that's another review). The latest place we tried was Another Broken Egg Cafe. (Sorry for the long review, but it's rare for us to have a meal where almost every aspect of the experience is dissapointing.) The cafe is in the Winter Park Village next to Chamberlain's, so parking is a challenge. The interior is nicely decorated (nothing memorable) marred by trails of crumbs and food on the floor. You can sit inside, at the bar, or outdoors; we chose the latter because it is COLD inside. The outdoor area is a covered patio with several tables and ceiling fans. We were impressed by the small touches here and there (for example, mugs and vases with the cafe's logo) and were excited to find a place close to home that might become a regular haunt. It was a few minutes after sitting down before anyone came to our table (although this is understandable with a breakfast rush). The waitress took our order for coffee, and then several minutes later brought it back and took our order. We like to try a bit of everything at new restaurants, so I got two eggs (scrambled), flat-iron steak (medium rare), a pancake, sliced tomatoes, and steel cut oatmeal. Mom got two eggs (over medium), bacon, and an English muffin. Both meals came with seasoned potatoes, and we got a cinnamon roll to split for an appetizer. After the waitress took our order and left, another server came up to apologize that he had been delayed in taking our order. Wut? We told him we'd already given our order to someone else. Then we waited for our food. And waited. And waited. Another server (different from the first two) came by and asked how everything was. Dood? We got no food. He said he would go check on it, but we never saw him again. More than 20 minutes after we ordered, our cinnamon roll finally arrived. It looked like a typical cinnamon roll -- round and fat (about the circumference of a CD) with a generous pour of icing on top. What we bit into was a giant mouthful of dissapointment. The typical cinnamon roll is a fluffy, soft, slightly chewy roll with a buttery, sugary, gooey cinnamon filling and a schmear or drizzle of cream cheese icing. This roll was a literal "roll" in that it was the taste and consistency of a day-old hamburger bun. The filling was sparse and dry, and the icing tasted like the regular white sugar icing that you get with Pizza Hut cinnamon breadsticks. About 30 minutes after we ordered, our food finally arrived. (Granted, I got steel cut oats, but if they're made per order instead of as part of morning prep, then that's a fail on the restaurant's part.) The plating was an unnecessarily large and heavy two-part setup containing an oval base plate that held only the potatoes and a ceramic top plate with a handle that held the eggs and meat. The pancake we received was deformed and the waitress told us that another one was being made at no charge. Unfortunately, the dissapointing food trend continued. Mom's eggs had a brown, crispy perimiter and were covered in visibly glistening grease. The English muffin was barely toasted, but the bacon was cooked well. My scrambled eggs were incredibly wet and there was some unappetizing white discharge under the eggs. The flat-iron steak consisted of exactly five pieces, each about the size of a thumb drive, and each piece was a totally different color. The seasoned potatoes were dry, crumbly, and entirely too uniform in shape, leading me to believe they were frozen. The pancake was fluffy but flour-y and flavorless. The tomatoes were the type that appear ripe but are hard and tasteless. The steel cut oats with berries tasted good, although I didn't receive any of the mix-ins stated on the menu (honey and cinnamon), and it was ridiculously expensive -- $4.99 for approximately a cup. Aside from food, the service was disorganized and our waitress was out of it. She seemed pleasant enough, but when she went to take our order, she had forgotten her pad on another table. We had to ask twice for extra Splenda. We had to remind her that we hadn't recieved different components of our meal. We had to ask twice for ketchup. Also (and this may be a lost art), she could clearly see that the cinnamon roll, eggs, and potatoes were barely touched (since they were on her side of the table), but she didn't indicate in any way that she noticed. Maybe it's unrealistic for her to notice if I actually ate my food? I don't know. At any rate, given the trifecta of poor food, poor service, and long wait time, this place is a fail. It seems the owners spent all their time on looks and forgot about quality of food and service. read more

We really like the restaurant and have been very happy with the food. On our most recent visit, though, it was extremely crowded, we did the call ahead but still had to wait a good half hour or more but the hardest thing was the noise level. It was SO loud inside, that we could not hear each other much at all and could not have good conversation. We understand that it's good to be busy, but there are cost effective ways to reduce a restaurant noise level and make the experience more enjoyable for customers. Please look into this, or I know that our family would probably choose a different brunch location since we rarely go out to eat so really want to enjoy our time together. Thank you. read more

This is my second time coming and my second review since I wanted to give it a try again, this time I choose different items and choose to sit outsides. It's was very nice and open outside the breeze was good time to eat out. Our waiter Donna was wonderful! Her service was outstanding. She gave us recommendations on what we should eat and she also advised us to try the Louisiana style donuts with a sauce of Orange and honey, which was delicious. I ordered the chicken and waffles and I added banana and pecans. The chicken was crispy and not greasy at all it was lightly breaded and the waffle it self was thin and crispy, which I think was perfect the sauce was spicy and sweet which went well with my dish. My mother has the Mediterranean power bowl it was huge. She said "that the plate was balance out perfectly it had the right elements" and she is a picky eater. This visit they honestly blew it out of the water, amazing!!! read more

Delicious food, I love the lemon goat cheese pancakes and selection of Benedict's, but the best of all is the waiter BRACUS! Ask for him because he's coming from Texas to Florida and he's absolutely amazing! I've been to this restaurant a dozen times but Bracus made it an adventure! Every little detail was at its best - The epitome of treat your self. Plus he recommended things on the menu I wouldn't have thought to try - get the sausage patties! Another find on Yelp, went a little before noon and it was not too busy, nice outside seating but a little loud with some construction going on still it was beautiful out and well worth a little noise, no big deal. Great service, quickly received our food and it was all delicious. Order the Mardi Gras omlette, stuffed with crawfish, shrimp, andouille sauage, pepper and green onion with Hollandaise sauce, potatoes and english muffin on the side. Massive portion for a reasonable price. Parents got pancakes which were tasty and blueberry grits which lastes about 5 minutes in front of my dad. Mom and dad said it was the best breakfast they have had while visiting us here in Florida. Would totally go back ASAP to try other items on the menu! You have have made me a believer, i shall return!!!!!! read more

Just as a disclaimer- my review is only concerning the beignets. I walked in, order a plate to go, and left to eat them at home. So, jumping right into the powdered sugar heaven that is these beignets- just get them. They're made fresh to order and come out hot hot hot. They were so perfectly airy and doughy it's like a religious experience. The honey marmalade sauce is also exquisite, but honestly, these beignets don't need anything extra. read more

Great food! I really enjoyed it and the server we had was good as well, my only complaint if I had one is that when you walk into the place it doesn't seem very friendly, the two hostess look like they hate there job. When I come to a place for breakfast with the family I like to have a delightful experience, this was opposite from that. If it wasn't for the EXCEPTIONAL food it would have been a 1-2 Star for sure. Next time I go to a "Another broken egg" it will just be at a different location. read more

We usually go to Peach Valley but decided to try something new and came to Another Broken Egg. The wait time was 40-50 minutes once we sat down we ordered and it took about 30 minutes for the food to come out. (Kinda long for breakfast food) Once it came out my waiter didn't bring my pancakes he said it would be out in a minute... 15 minutes go by and no pancakes. So I tell the waiter to not worry about it as we were already done with the food. As we asked for boxes he brings the pancake out and says he took it off and if I still want it I can have it. Definitely sucks as I had high hopes for this place. Although I like to give places a few tries I Probably won't be returning. read more

Avg beakfast at high end prices 2 meals 2 coffee thirty bucks best thing they have is heated coffee cups. Servers ok

I saw that their patio was dog friendly so my girlfriend and I opted for this spot for Sunday brunch. I checked in via Yelp at 12:45 and was advised to check in to the host at 1:05 as the estimated wait was 45-50 minute wait. I checked in at the time stated and advised for patio seating since we had our dogs with us. We did not get seated until 1:55. Since we had ample time to look over the menu we ordered right away. I went with the cinnamon roll French toast with a side of bacon and sunny side up eggs while my girlfriend ordered the smoked salmon Benedict. My dish was flat out amazing and I would definitely order again and recommend it to others. My girlfriends smoked salmon Benedict on the other hand was not so great. The salmon had a strong fishy smell and could not finish the second portion of it. I tried it as well and agreed the fish was either bad or going bad. She gradually started to get a stomach ache for the remainder of our visit. We also order waters for the table which never came. Overall not that great of an experience, although my dish tasted amazing it was the only positive thing I can say. read more

Another Broken Egg Cafe - Cinnamon roll French toast 5/5 - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Winter Park, Florida

Excellent food and service. The dishes are unique. Wish there was one closer to where I live.

Breakfast is a favorite for me, especially on the weekends because I get to usually eat something new or out of the ordinary. We decided to try Another Broken Egg, as I heard some good things about it. They are located in Winter Park, so I braced myself for the likely more expensive prices for food and of course I was right. I ordered the Smoked Salmon Benny, something a little out of the ordinary and I am big salmon and cream cheese bagel fan. It is a toasted bagel with cream cheese, smoked salmon on two poached eggs with diced red onion and green onions, I omitted the capers. My mom ordered the traditional, 2 eggs any style, waffle and bacon. All in all, everything was excellent. My only complaint is the bagel wasn't that great...I've had better, but it was good. The service was good too. Also take into consideration, we went on a Friday morning, so it wasn't that busy. I did think their prices were a bit much, but that's Winter Park for you. Also, another thing to note, they had a full bar, offering different breakfast drinks, which I thought was a nice touch if you wanted one. Unlike other breakfast restaurants (like First Watch), this is not a option. So to conclude, I would go back...someday. read more

Easily in my top 3 favorite breakfast places. Another Broken Egg is always a pleasant experience, and the food is always delicious. My go-to is the Huevos Rancheros, but the omelets and other breakfast plates I've tried have always been perfect, too. The atmosphere is casual, which is definitely appreciated, and though there's usually a wait, it's well worth it. Tip for the wait: The bar is first come, first served; the tables around the bar are not. I usually stalk the bar while waiting for my table in case something opens up, but they go quick! read more

It was my 1st time eating here. I had the cinnamon roll French toast. It came with 2 strips of bacon and eggs. I ordered egg whites scrambled. They were not so good; there was a funny, sulfur taste to them and they were sitting in a water-like puddle. On the other hand the bacon was crisp and tasty as was the cinn roll French toast. Coffee at 3.00 / cup was strong and bitter. Wait staff courteous and obliging. Food prices a little too high for my covid wallet. Wont be back. Very loud and noisy. Staff at the bar was stacking dishes...it was deafening! Buy some acoustical tiles! You got the money. read more

My husband and I were visiting from PA and found this spot for Easter breakfast. We would 100 percent recommend this location. They surpassed all of our expectations. Our server, Piero, was amazing. He knew everything on the menu, was able to answer all of our questions, recommended things, was on top of things but not over whelming our table, and most importantly was polite and kind. He wasn't just trying to get his job done and move on. You just don't normally get service like that most places. The food was also an A+. We got the the chocolate German waffle and the supreme omelette. We had modified the omelette and everything came out great. We also got the biscuits and gravy which are to die for. They infuse there vodka with peppers for the Bloody Mary and it's pretty delicious. Overall, we were very happy and full after this visit. read more
