Just had our first experience here, and it was fantastic. The staff was friendly and attentive. My wife likes her bacon extra crispy. Few places get it right. Not only did they nail it, the server came out and made sure it was crispy enough. I had the chicken and waffles, and she got the cinnamon roll French toast. Everything was excellent. read more

Definitely not what I expected at any point in my experience. I assumed for Yelp that this place was a cute little mom and pop/hipster kind of place. It's not, it's large and packed with the vibes of IHOP or Denny's. That being said this place was awesome! The service was quick and friendly. We ordered an appetizer and brunch and we got our drinks directly followed by our app. As soon as we finished our appetizers the came out with our entrees. Everything was delicious and again completely surprising. Highly recommend the biscuits and gravy! read more

I have wanted to eat at this brunch spot for so long but was very disappointed when finally coming. My boyfriends food came out the Traditional Breakfast was just ok everything pretty plain tasting but when my biscuits and gravy came out my eggs were severely undercooked, whites were still gushing out after asking for they done over medium. I waited 10 minutes for my server to check on us as other servers walked by and didn't acknowledge the cold plate sitting in front of me. I was finally able to send my food back but have waited over 25 minutes for a refire which still has not come out. Leading to me writing this review whilst I wait. Yeah the server is friendly but that doesn't make up for the long wait/undercooked potentially hazardous food that was presented to me. 2/10 def going to Kekes next time. read more

Food was AMAZING!!!! I ordered the chicken and waffles and my husband got the lobster and Brie omelette and they were phenomenal. The mimosas were also great just the perfect mixture of champagne and oj.... we will most definitely come back read more

Meryem was FANTASTIC! I throughly enjoyed my experience. She was so friendly and attentive. It felt like I was talking to a friend the entire time. She truly made my experience special! I loved how personable she was. Her recommendations were spot on. I will definitely be returning because of her. She even wrote me a Happy Birthday note. I haven't been treated this well in a long time. Thank you so much. She is truly a gem! You can tell that she is beautiful inside and out. Please be sure to treat your star employee well at all costs. With lots of love - Dynel read more

I will be reviewing this place from start to finish. The wait time here is a little long. My mom and I waited almost 45 minutes to be seated. A family of 7 got seated before we did (a party of 2). Dawna, our server, immediately greeted us and told us she was stretched a bit thin, being the only server for the patio seating, and bussing tables, which I thought was weird, because restaurants typically have a busser. She was very fast in taking our orders while also giving recommendations based on our diets. 20 minutes we receive our drinks, and 3 minutes after that we got our food. The Lucy is very good, it is on the gluten free menu. We also got the Belgian waffle, which came out fresh and it was super crispy! I got the grits to go with it, they did need some more flavoring, but overall the food is good. The Morning Mai Tai really good and has a summery vibe, and if you enjoy piña coladas, you will love that! Dawna didn't check on us too much, but I like when my server isn't too bothersome. Overall I did enjoy my food and so did my mom. I think I will be back again. read more

I am a breakfast fiend. My husband and I go out to breakfast at least once and sometimes twice on the weekend. There are some good spots in Orlando for breakfast, and my rating of a three star for this place is not directly tied to how often I go here, but rather, how I think it compares to an ideal place for a sit down breakfast or brunch with a full bar. The service and food are inconsistent, but some things are worth going back for despite this, so you have to know what to what to get, and when to go. Don't show up around 11 on a Saturday or Sunday and hope to get a table any time soon. I recommend that you go before 10, or around 1 PM. Weekdays are very quiet so if you have the luxury of going out for breakfast then, try it. We have had mostly good service but during busy times we've had some poor service. One of the first times we went there it seemed like the hostess had to do double duty and serve our table, or perhaps she was a server also helping out the hostess. Before I was even finished eating she brought us our check and never refilled our coffee. I felt like we were being rushed out because there were so many people waiting for a table. Other times we have had very bubbly servers who have taken care of everything we needed. Here are the things I have had on the menu and my opinion of each: Quinoa Bowl - Awesome. The quinoa is very nutty tasting but I can see it has fresh blueberries. The banana is sliced into large pieces and is rolled in toasted coconut. House Infused Mary - very good and a good value. They infuse a cheap vodka with peppers, onions, horseradish, etc. and it winds up delish. Mimosa - Small for the price... There are other breakfast places in Orlando that have two for one and larger mimosas so if you're going for drinks just go for the Mary instead. Sweet Potato Pancake - Worth coming back for despite lackluster coffee. The pancake is sweet with nuts in it, and there is an orange peel syrup that is just spectacular. Coffee - As I said above, not very good. Also, the mugs they serve it in are not very comfortable to drink from. Shrimp and Grits - Absolutely delicious. Black Bean Sliders - Very Good but the gluten free bread is not really a bread, it's more like a pancake, so be prepared for that. Blackberry Grits - Nice and not something I've seen anywhere else. Monster Cinnamon Roll - Made me wish Cinnabon was still around, but still good. Buttermilk Pancakes with blueberries - really tasty, on par with other places. Veggie Delight - Very good and on the healthier side. Home fries are crispy on the outside and softer on the inside with just the right amount of seasoning. Bella-Which - Very good for the first few bites, but too rich and too much feta and aioli. I had it with a side of roasted vegetables and those were worth the extra charge. Black Bean Benedict - Not good, way too much chipotle. The bartender even warned me about this but I went against it and was disappointed. Overall, I think that if you want a sit down breakfast and need a change up from your regular routine I would try this place. read more

Cute decor and the highest ratio of servers to customers I have ever seen! There was 1 server to a table, 2 hostesses, food runners and bus boys. Everything was immaculately clean. Food was okay but not great. Packaged potatoes, excessively salty. Soggy biscuits (microwaved???) and the English muffins were barely toasted. High hopes for improved food next time. OVERALL: 5 stars for decor, service and cleanliness but 2 stars on the food. read more

Another Broken Egg Cafe - Veggie omelet, spinach, tomatoes, goat cheese and mushrooms - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Winter Park, Florida

See all

The name may be Another Broken Egg, but to me it sure seemed like another broken eggspection. This brunchy restaurant has been recommended to me by many different people so I suppose I had very high hopes going into my meal, perhaps a little unfairly high but the meal really was mediocre at best. I love beignets more than I love my own stuffed animals, so naturally seeing the menu featuring an in house biscuit beignet my heart soared, unfortunately it plummeted rather quickly upon delivery of said beignets. They were cold, dry and dense-not exactly the ideal traits to describe a doughnut. Furthermore the service I received felt contrived and at times chaotic. Think less southern home style brunch, more mall food court. The final nail in this breakfast food coffin was the prices. I do not mind spending a bit of money on a meal, but if I'm going to spend more than $18.00 before 10 am it better be delicious. To all my friends who urged me to try this restaurant, thank you for the suggestion however I think I will steer clear of this broken dream for a while. read more

Yummy, yummy, yummy. We will be going back. I had the Gluten Free Pancake with the added 2 eggs and bacon. The pancake was very good and I enjoyed it very much. I was happy to see this gluten free option listed without me having to ask. I use honey on my pancakes and was happy to that I got a nice big bottle when I made the request. My husband had the regular pancakes New Orleans style, he loved them and did not need to add syrup. Zero complaints. The server was nice, friendly and helpful. I liked their system of texting you when your table is ready. read more

I'm not a negative guy so I feel bad that my first review on Yelp is a negative one. I felt I had to say something, though, because this is the worst service we've ever gotten. To make up for this, I'll try and add some positive ones. Wifey and I love to try new restaurants out and there are a lot of good ones in O-Town. When we got to the table, we ordered coffee and the biscuit beignets. The coffee sucked and the biscuit beignets was one of those meals that sounded better than it actually tasted. It wasn't bad, I was just expecting to get my mind blown by awesomeness. When I read the menu, I was thinking, "Biscuit beignets? I love biscuits...and I love beignets. If I put the two together, it's definitely got to change my life some how." Nope. It took over 30 minutes for the waiter to finally take our order for the main course and that was only because I called for him. I could tell he was stressed and he acted like we were bothering him. He didn't apologize, he just thanked us for understanding that they were busy and understaffed. I ordered the Benedict Oscar, wifey ordered the Sweet Potato pancakes, and my daughter ordered the B.L.A.S.T. After 30 minutes of no sight of our waiter, a waitress came by and asked if we wanted more coffee. Wifey asked how much longer for our food and she said she would check but she never came back. We waited another 20 minutes before my wife made a comment that we should just pay and go. Shortly after, another server came and told us that they lost our ticket and that he was trying to put a rush on it. I asked if I could just pay for the coffee and appetizer so we could leave. He said don't worry about it and we left. We ended up going to Steak and Shake because little girl was starving. A good thing that came out of this is I ordered the Salted Caramel Pretzel milkshake from Steak and Shake and it was da bomb. What I tasted at Another Broken Egg wasn't bad but it wasn't amazing and the service was so disorganized. I'm a forgiving person, so they wouldn't have gotten a bad review from me on Yelp if they handled it better. An apology and great customer service goes a loooooong way. read more

I actually really enjoy this little chain. It's probably a little pricier than your average breakfast place but it's very nice and the food had been great both times. I've had 2 different omelets here, one before which was amazing! Then the other was lobster and goat cheese instead of brie. Wasn't super fond of that but I think I just like veggie omelettes. The city grits I think it's called is phenomenal! Gouda cheese, tomatoes, green onions, garlic I think And of course bacon make this the best grit dish ever! Both times the service was wonderful, we sat outside and enjoyed the nice Florida "winter" weather haha. I enjoyed their pancakes but was not happy with how expensive the uncharges on some items were like berries. Overall though, very happy with the food, ambiance, and price.I will be returning. Oh and they offer lattes. They were 3 out of 5 I'd say. read more

Visited for the first time mid morning on a busy Saturday. Used the Yelp join waitlist feature and table was ready immediately after check in. Server Jovan was kind and informative for 2 first timers. Hubs had the crabcakes eggs Benedict with city grits and loved each bite. Admittedly he felt chorizo might have been a bit much for him, but enjoyed it nonetheless. I had biscuits and gravy and this place knows what's up!! Would certainly have again. The sausage patties were described as herbed, with with syrup/molasses undertones, which is on target. As a first timer beignets were free and delicious!! Honey marmalade sets them off. Not a cold brew fan but hubs Salted Caramel Cold Brew cocktail could change my mind. These first timers will return. read more

My new favorite brunch spot in Orlando. She got the Cinnamon Roll French Toast(skipped the Bananas Foster sauce, neither of us like bananas)... I got the Biscuits & Gravy. This comes with two eggs and two ridiculously good sausage patties. Melinda was the perfect waitress. Super super friendly. Didn't come by every 3 minutes asking if we needed anything...Just stopped when one of us needed a refill. We split our meals and they were both spectacular. The cinnamon rolls tasted like a hybrid between French Toast and Cinnabon, the fruit on top gave them a sweet kick. Loved the biscuits & gravy with sausage and eggs over medium. The sausage gravy was up there with the best I've ever had. No complaints. Great experience. read more

This is one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. On a Sunday morning Yelp made it easy to get on the list without having to be present. A text message was sent when our table was ready. My cucumber Bloody Mary was spicy and smooth. I even got to leave with the Mason jar. My friend had the recommended cinnamon roll French toast. It was pretty sweet but came with breakfast meat and eggs. I had a supreme omelet. Different than most I've had but it was huge. Another recommendation from the server was the City Grits. Understandably award winning after we tried them. I would probably go back just for those. read more

Not the best. Staff is not very friendly. Food is average. Also, they take forever to bring your order. Don't think I'll be coming back.

I loved the customer service. The food was great and it's a fancy place. I really recommend the biscuit beignets And the shrimp and grits

I made it a point to come here specifically because they had crab cake benedicts. I had this awesome order in Hawaii and I keep looking for its long lost twin. I have to say the meal was a 3 but my service was a 4. They brought me out a plain old Benedict to begin with, just miscommunication and they replaced my order immediately and apologized to me. They even gave me a card to come back for a free meal later, seriously! The crab cake was good, but the English muffin was very hard to cut through. All and all it was an ok meal but the service made it better. The potatoes were excellent, cooked just right, crispy, cooked all the way through and NOT still greasy. read more

First time here and it was really good. Menu was very diverse and had a lot of healthier options. I had the smoked salmon Benedict with a side of grits and both were great. I noticed a poor review that called out bad service and while we were seated and attended to promptly, I did see some tables that were waiting a while for a server to even show up so take that for what it's worth: food will be great but it seems the service is a coin flip. Was on the wait list (setup on yelp) for an hour waiting to be notified to go to the host. After waiting for so long and the wait list being stuck on 6 people we go inside to see what's going on, and the host said you had to come and check in first, when it clearly doesnt say that at all in the instructions of the wait list. There was no one waiting even though it still said 6 people in front of me. The host didn't have any kind of decency to apologize for the situation after I told him that and just sat us down. Poor service, three waiters walking around us for 15 minutes after finally one of them asks the other if we are theres. read more

We have eaten here three times, and we won't be back. We try to give places multiple times because we understand that staff have off days, but this has been disappointing everytime. My family and I came here for brunch due to the good reviews and menu. We sat down at 12:30pm with no napkins or utensils, waited a hour for our food to come out COLD and while we waited for our food our pitcher of mimosa had nats swimming in it.. the manager then came out and extended an apology to the WRONG TABLE, he then came to the right table and apologized, took all 4 plates back only to bring my plate of chicken and waffles with a strand of hair and on a DIRTY plate. The manager again extended another apology and at that point we were just extremely dissatisfied and disappointed. I would also like to add that our waitress was not helpful and showed no concern for our dissatisfaction. Unfortunately we Will not be visiting this location again. I also failed to mention that our waitress decided to pet a big and very furry dog to then continue waitressing and serving customers food without washing her hands... read more

I've been enjoying the breakfasts at this place. I'm stuck on Hey Lucy with avocado salsa and sour cream on my eggs. If you want more than diner breakfast, this is a really good choice, and they have a bar so you can get your mimosa or bloody fix as well. It's a little spendy, I think my breakfast ends up being around $15 (not including any beverages). What is up with the "fries" everyone has for breakfast potatoes now? Basically they're throwing bagged Sysco cubed potatoes into the fryer and calling that breakfast potatoes - I don't agree! They do have a much better potato choice here - redskins with some toppings, but you have to pay extra. This is not a particularly quick breakfast so don't plan to stop in if you're in a hurry. read more

There was a bit of a wait, but it's Sunday so understandable. The hostess was very nice and attentive to put us on the list. After less than 15 min we got a table, the waiter attended us a few minutes after, not too long. We ordered our food and it took about 35 min to get it to our table. The manager did pass by and apologized for the wait. The food was good, not my top choice for breakfast. The waiter only came to our table to place our food order, and I had two flag him down twice to order a hot chocolate and ask for a side of milk. My husband does say those are the best Belgium waffles his had and my kids were satisfied with their order. The oatmeal was ok, I had to get a side of milk since they were a bit dry and all the fruits do come on top of the oatmeal not on the side. read more

Though a bit skeptical to try this location due to the ratings, I was willing to find out for myself how my experience was going to be. My boyfriend and I went on a busy Sunday around 10:30am. Surprisingly within five minutes we were sat at table and serviced. We started off with the grits as the appetizer and the White Sangria and Isla Blanca for drinks. The drinks were average. I originally ordered the White Sangria and ended up switching for the Isla Blanca which composed of Rumchata, rum, cafe Patron, and half and half. The White Sangria tasted like club soda and had a strand of hair around the cup...I wasn't even pleased with the Isla Blanca but it was the better drink of the two. Each undeservingly ringing in at $7.99. The grits were quick and DELICIOUS. So delicious in fact, that it hyped up our meals... I ordered the Black Beans Benedict and my boyfriend ordered The Tradition with steak. Both of our plates were meals that we could have easily whipped up at home, worthy of presentation and taste. I wasn't nearly impressed by their food, but our waiter was nice and at least we were sat faster than expected. read more
