Another Broken Egg Cafe

Usually the food and service are good but today was a poor showing and would have us not come back. We waited an hour for a table and another 50 minutes for food. Our food was dry, like it waited under a heat lamp too long. I spoke to the manager and explained I've had good experiences here, but this one makes me put this restaurant on my "only if every place else is too full" list. She offered to comp our drinks, but when the bill came drinks were still on half of our the checks & It was not worth the wait to have them fix our bill. Lastly we were offered free beignets on our next visit but half of our party is Gluten Free so beignets are lost on this group. Unfortunately, they just really missed the mark. We will not be back. read more

The food is good, I'm not going to lie. But the service is getting slower by the week. Had to wait 30 minutes after check in when estimate was 15. Food took almost an hour to arrive. This is disheartening. Loved this place so much but can't spend half a day at a restaurant. read more

After reading the reviews I decided to suggest that my family and I have brunch here on a Sunday morning. I checked in early using the yelp app and after a very short wait the 4 of us were seated at a high top table. The hostess and the service overall were great! Very accommodating, polite and attentive. I especially liked the manager coming by our table and asking how everything was. The food itself was just OK. 2 of us had the Floridian omelet which did have a good amount of crab meat on it. However, we both felt that it had a bit of a fishier taste than we would have expected. It wasn't terrible but it also wasn't what I was expecting. My girlfriend had the chicken and waffles which we both thought were good. It had a cajun kick to it which was an interesting twist. Not too spicy but enough to let you know it was there. My Dad had the California Club which was more of a melt and he also thought it was OK. The coffee was good and the mugs they serve it in were pretty neat. We didn't have any bloody marys or mimosas but they looked delicious. Overall some parts of the experience were good and others were just OK. read more

We are typically not brunch people, but we will be back here! Service was good and food was great!! I got the cinnamon roll french toast and my wife got an omelet and both were excellent. The cinnamon roll was covered in syrup, fruit and whip cream, the eggs were fresh and not from powder, the bacon was crispy, and the potatoes were delicious. Everything we had here was very tasty and I cannot recommend this place enough. We were here on a Saturday morning pretty early and had no wait, but by the time we were finishing up, you could see the wait building, so I'd recommend coming early or being prepared to wait. We recently visited another location later in the morning and were told it was a 2 hour wait, so yeah, go early!! read more

Overall our experience here was decent but it's not my favorite. This restaurant is a chain so keep that in mind. I've been to several of their locations and this experience unfortunately was just so so in comparison to the other locations I've visited. The restaurant itself was clean and not too loud. We went during breakfast hours and the hostess seated us promptly and we didn't wait long for our server. She was very nice but also very rushed. I'm not sure if they were understaffed for that day or if she's always is expected to juggle that many tables but her time spent at our table, while pleasant, was brief and I felt like I had to quickly spit out anything I wanted to say. Even with being rushed though she kept the coffee and waters that we ordered filled throughout the entire meal and that was quite impressive. She also offered us coffees to go at the end of our meal which we both enjoyed. They serve breakfast cocktails at this location and I'm used to them having specialty cocktails but we were never given a menu that had them listed so I was a little disappointed with that but ordered a mimosa anyways. It was a typical mimosa but on the smaller side for the price. Again I've really enjoyed their specialty drinks but wasn't given that option at this location. The coffee they serve is excellent and we enjoyed it both black and with cream and sugar. It was a strong bold flavored coffee. For our meals, my boyfriend ordered the chicken and waffles. He said it was ok and I personally was very underwhelmed by the chicken. The complaint he had was that it needed more syrup which the server politely got for him. I had their eggs benedict. It was good but nothing special. The eggs were poached nicely and the hollandaise sauce was decent, not overly sweet or sour. The ham was warm and no complaints about the English muffin it was all stacked on. I was a little discouraged when I first got it because there was water on the plate that pooled with the hollandaise that ran off the side of the eggs but overall it didn't make a difference in the taste of the meal. The side of potatoes that came with my eggs benedict weren't bad but they lacked any real flavor and I had to eat them with ketchup. Overall I think this place is adequate but also kind of overdone and nothing stood out as really great or special. read more

I was unable to make a reservation for this night, but walked in and was seated at the bar immediately. There are two hostess stands at this location. The first stand is at the door next to the Valet Parking stand and is for confirmed reservation seating. You are directed to walk further down the hallway towards the bar area for another separate hostess stand for walk-ins. We were seated at a nice two-top table close to the brewery room. (Note: we noticed a separate table inside the brewery which appeared to accommodate a small group and most likely requires a reservation to be seated there.) Kelly was our server and she was efficient, fun and very knowledgeable of the menu. She answered all of our questions, including explaining the ingredients of some of our selections. Our drink selections consisted of the frozen Getaway Car (vodka, sour cherry and maraschino liqueur) and the Woe Is Me martini (herb-infused Grey Goose with a pickled cherry tomato). The tomato made this martini stand out! The presentation of both drinks was memorable as was the taste of each. For our appetizers, we shared the Gatherer Salad (a zesty combination of baby greens, avocado, pickled beets, radish, goat, cheese and walnut granola with a herb vinaigrette dressing-outstanding!) and the Mushroom and Gruyère Beignets, set off by the pecorino cheese and the truffle aioli sauce. We easily could've had a second round of the beignets, but decided to go ahead and order our second course. For the second course, we shared the Pan Seared Redfish with summer vegetables, and the Steak Frites. The fish was delicate, light and the fennel broth made this dish a winner. The Steak Frites consisted of rubbed prime flat iron steak, garlic aïoli and bordelaise sauce-SO GOOD! The truffle fries were plentiful and, when combined with the sauce, resulted in a perfect accompaniment to this meal. For the final course, we shared the Black Forest Cake and the Peaches & Cream (caramelized puff pastry with peach jam, and mascarpone custard). Both desserts were the explanation points of the evening. At the end of the night, we told Kelly that we loved the combination of the "naughty and nice" pairings for this magical dining experience. (For example, the beignets and the salad, plus the redfish and the steak, allow you to both eat healthy and eat decadent.) A final shout out to the General Manager, Scott, who gave me an excellent tour of the outside beer garden (not occupied due to the rain that evening) and the major beer brewery facility next to it. TV screens are available in the garden, and would be an excellent party place for watching football this Fall. I think I have my next visit to The Ravenous Pig planned in the coming weeks. Great service and great food made this easily a 5-star evening.

I was re-reading my old review and was impressed with how they've kept up with obtaining and working with local growers and butchers. I'm sure that's been a big reason behind their continued success. Our waiter Billy was excellent. We were a group of 5 having a girl's dinner. He was great at answering all our questions and recommending certain items to us. We all chose from the magical dinning menu, what a deal! We all ordered different things and they were all excellent. The gatherer salad and the beignets were our favorites for the appetizers. For the entrees; The Red fish was so delicious, but I also tried a piece of the steak frites and that was fantastic as well. The Steak was super tender. That house made pasta linguine with shrimp was incredible as well. The black forest cake dessert was really good. I like that it wasn't too sweet. I love that they continuously update their menu in accordance to what is seasonal. The only critique I have is that when we first arrived, they had trouble finding our reservation. I had to pull up the email confirmation (Which I did confirm) A confirmation that they had actually sent me the previous day. The hostess lady seemed annoyed and asked us to sit and wait while they got a table ready. We waited around 15 minutes. No big deal, but a little nerve wracking when she said: "I don't see your name here." It's a good thing I kept that email confirmation. I'm actually really looking forward to coming back and trying other things from their menu, as well as their house-brewed beer.

Nothing to truly brag home about. Nonetheless, despite it being just okay, I'd visit this restaurant again. For Magical Dining, I started with the Caesar Salad, which was baby gem lettuce with sourdough croutons, Caesar dressing, parmesan crisps, and a grilled lemon. The salad itself was okay. I've definitely had nicer Caesar salads, but overall, it did the job. I followed it up with the Butcher's Cut at medium-well (this probably the highlight of my Magical Dining experience), and then capped my dining experience with the Southern Orchard Crunch, which included caramelized peaches, graham cracker mousse, chantilly cream, pralines, vanilla wafer crumble, and mini marshmallows. Sadly, I did not like the Southern Orchard Crunch at all. I wish I had ordered the Vanilla Orange Crème Brûlée. I paired my meal with one of their cocktail staples: The Hibiscus Martini. Their Hibiscus Martini included the following ingredients: Cathead honeysuckle vodka, hibiscus St. Germain, Munyons Pawpaw Florida liqueur, hibiscus syrup, lemon, and was topped with a citrus cloud. It was a lovely, light, and refreshing cocktail. All in all, I was not super impressed with any one thing on their menu. The highlight was definitely the Butcher's Cut and the Hibiscus Martini if I had to choose. Otherwise, I'd be curious to dine outside of their Magical Dining menu. As I mentioned, I'd still visit again, and I would try more of their menu that was not featured on their Magical Dining menu (which is under the $40.00 menu option). As for general stuff, the staff was kind and very attentive. The bartender was amazing! Parking in Winter Park is always a chore to me - especially with all the construction zones on Park Ave. There is ample seating indoors as well as seating outdoors for Boca. There is also ample bar seating. The restaurant has a nice feel to it, and it is usually always fairly busy - which is always a good sign.

Between the consistently great food, welcoming service, and lovely atmosphere, Prato continues to be one of my favorite spots for a nice dinner with friends.

Service 5.0 - Food 4.5 - Ambiance 4.0…read more Hangry - yes, I was, but it was my birthday, so I was grateful. Bison - yes, bison were involved. An apropos name for a gastropub in the heart of Winter Park Village, The Hangry Bison had been on my list to try for awhile. Overall, my family and I enjoyed our time, in large part because of the great service by Emi. She was attentive, engaging, personable, and professional. We also enjoyed the food cooked to order and the comfortable seating area. To start, our appetizer of soft pretzels and beer cheese arrived and was quickly shared (devoured - I was fortunate to get a picture). The warm, cheese-covers pretzels were solid, and a good choice to carry us through until our main courses arrived. I ordered the Build Your Own Burger, medium, complete with a write-on menu to check off my choices. Sweet potato fries asked me to try them out along with the Bison burger, which I had never eaten. My Bison burger with minimal extras and the Bourbon glaze looked appetizing, and the flavor of the burger held its own. Plenty of sweet potato fries joined the burger on the plate, and I enjoyed their slightly firm exterior with the soft, sweet interior. Even the leftovers tasted good two days later. I ordered and enjoyed The Soldiers Lemonade, but wished I had started drinking it sooner than later due to the crushed ice. The warm night quickly melted it. We agreed that we'd return again for the burgers, comfortable atmosphere, and great service.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Another Broken Egg Cafe in Winter Park, and I must say, it was an unforgettable brunch experience that left my taste buds dancing with delight. The highlight of my visit was the Hash Brown Benedict paired with a Salted Caramel Cold Brew mixed with Kahlua, a combination that proved to be a match made in culinary heaven. Let's start with the Hash Brown Benedict. This dish was a masterpiece of flavors and textures. The perfectly crispy hash browns served as a base for the poached eggs and creamy hollandaise sauce, creating a harmonious contrast between the crunchiness of the hash browns and the silkiness of the sauce. The eggs were poached to perfection, with velvety yolks that oozed deliciously when cut into. The addition of crispy bacon and fresh chives added a delightful savory element to each bite. It was a symphony of flavors that left me craving more. To complement this fantastic dish, I decided to try the Salted Caramel Cold Brew mixed with Kahlua. This cold brew concoction was a revelation. The rich and bold coffee flavor was beautifully balanced by the sweet and slightly salty notes of salted caramel. The addition of Kahlua provided a subtle yet indulgent coffee liqueur kick that elevated the drink to a whole new level of deliciousness. It was the perfect companion to my meal, offering a refreshing and caffeinated counterpoint to the savory Hash Brown Benedict. The ambiance of Another Broken Egg Cafe was also a pleasant surprise. The cozy and welcoming atmosphere, coupled with friendly and attentive staff, made for a truly enjoyable dining experience. Whether you're looking for a relaxing brunch spot or a place to catch up with friends, this cafe ticks all the boxes. In conclusion, my visit to Another Broken Egg Cafe in Winter Park was nothing short of extraordinary. The Hash Brown Benedict was a culinary masterpiece, and the Salted Caramel Cold Brew mixed with Kahlua was the perfect beverage pairing. If you're in the Winter Park area and seeking a brunch experience that's both delicious and memorable, I wholeheartedly recommend giving this cafe a try. I'm already looking forward to my next visit! read more

My recent visit to Another Broken Egg left me thoroughly impressed, especially with their Salmon Benedict. The dish was a true delight for the taste buds! The poached eggs were expertly cooked, with the velvety yolk adding a luscious texture to every bite. The smoked salmon, a highlight of the dish, brought a delightful smokiness that complemented the overall flavor profile. What truly stood out was Samos and the English muffin combination which served as a sturdy base, providing a satisfying contrast in texture. The presentation was awesome, showcasing the chef's dedication to both aesthetic appeal and culinary excellence. The ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall positive experience, making it a breakfast spot I'll be returning to. If you're a fan of Benedicts, the Salmon Benedict at Another Broken Egg is a must-try! read more

Today I had a great experience with an early lunch. Our server Rayna did everything she could do to make my lunch perfect. My salad arrived with onions, which I asked not to be included, she noticed and then insisted that I have a new salad. That new salad was delivered within minutes so that I was still able to lunch along with my friend. I was totally impressed. The food was delicious and I would definitely order the salad again, though my friends Eggs Benedict looked amazing and my friend said, were delicious. We sat in one of their outside tables, safely distanced from the other outdoor tables. Hello my new breakfast restaurant, sadly I haven't eaten breakfast out since Covid since I never felt safe. I do now. I get Rayna again, a true gem. read more

This is my favorite ABE location being in the winter park area. So much stuff around to do after brunch & their food is always prepared so well. Even their fruit is nice with no filler fruit, you know? I've never had a bad experience with their service. They are always so welcoming and nice. Sometimes the staff at breakfast places, when they are busy, treat you like another table. But this one server named Meryem with blonde hair, is always so attentive and really takes the time to say hello and makes sure everything is what me and my boyfriend wanted for our breakfast. Details like that make us love coming here. People with those bright personas are what makes breakfast places so special. read more

I love breakfast and I love their breakfast. Besides White Wolf Cafe, this is where I want to go for a hearty, delicious breakfast. My favorite items are the biscuits and gravy and the Hey Lucy omelet. I only order the Hey Lucy now when I go, cause I just can't believe another item would top that. Wish they did a special price on Sat/Sun for mimosa's but if I'm more in the mood for that I'll probably go to White Wolf. I'd give it a 5 if the service was better. I have to admit, it has never been good. I usually sit at the bar now, to avoid a wait (there is usually a wait on Sat/Sun mornings) and since the bartender/server is right in front of me should i need anything. read more

I met up with a friend for breakfast at Another Broken Cafe, which had been on my radar for a while. Sadly, the experience fell short of expectations. Service was a letdown right from the start--the server took 10+ minutes to even swing by our table for drink orders, didn't even bring water. The cold brew was overpriced and tasted terrible, and I'm usually not fussy about coffee. My omelette was just average, lacking flavor and that special touch. On the bright side, my friend enjoyed their Hash Brown Benedict. However, with plenty of other breakfast spots to choose from, I will not be back. read more

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by 1 smiling employee holding the door welcoming us and 2 the smiling host. We were seated so quickly which was nice being a party of 7. Our server was great! gave us recommendation based on his genuine knowledge and personal favorites for the food, answered our (I'm sure many) questions. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time, everything was correct and tasted great. A guy who seemed to be a manager came by the table twice to checked on everything and just chat with us. # read more

I've had experiences at certain First Watch franchise locations that left me questioning not only the meal, but several of my life choices leading up to it. So when I walked into this location in the Fern Park/Casselberry (Altamonte Springs) area, I'll admit it... I came in cautiously optimistic at best. Thankfully, this visit reminded me why the chain became popular in the first place. Right away, the staff stood out for being personable and genuinely pleasant. Not the robotic "corporate friendly" where someone smiles while dead behind the eyes. Actual warm, attentive service that made the place feel welcoming. And here's something restaurant owners should probably frame on the wall because it's becoming weirdly rare these days: the food was cooked correctly and served hot. Hot. As in actually warm when it hit the table and not sitting under a heat lamp long enough to qualify for Social Security. I ordered the omelette, and it absolutely hit the spot. Comfort food done properly. Fluffy, flavorful, filling, and exactly what I wanted breakfast to be. My daughter ordered the steak and egg hash, and visually... let's just say this isn't a dish entering any beauty pageants. It kind of arrives looking like breakfast got into a small argument with itself. But one bite in and none of that mattered. It was rich, hearty, luscious, and cooked just right. The kind of dish where every bite feels indulgent enough that you briefly stop caring about cholesterol or responsibility. This location honestly felt dialed in. The kitchen was on point, the service was strong, and the overall experience reminded me that consistency is what separates a good restaurant visit from a forgettable one. Because of my mixed history with First Watch overall, I can't quite bring myself to throw five stars into the air like confetti... but this particular location absolutely earned four stars and deserves credit for getting it right.
