Today I had the crabcake and fried green tomatoes with a salad it was AMAZING!!! Being that I'm from Baltimore i know a little about crabcakes and i must say these were delicious. They were full of meat, not to spicy and tasted wonderful. The tomatoes were also a hit not grease at all. I was very pleased with my service and the time it took from order tell it arrived. Just what we needed after evacuation traveling and staying the night in our RV. The food was delicious, and the coffee was amazing. I am not a coffee drinker so if I find one that is full of flavor I am impressed. The waitress was kind and patient as we asked a million questions related to food intolerances. Great addition to the Pooler brunch scene. Biggest advantage is the spot checkin through yelp. You can be in the vicinity shopping, while you wait for the table. Best shrimp and grits EVER!! They aren't scared to season their food!! Pitcher mimosas hit the spot. Manager Ashanti is awesome so is the older gentleman..I can't remember his name. We waited approximately 30 min and we watched another couple being seated before us. When I questioned it the host said we would be seated soon. I had checked in the the host at least 15-20 minutes before this couple. I believe that this was taking place for being caucasian which the other couple was not including the host. The food is so good. My son was home on leave from the army for 2 weeks and specifically looks to eat here. The shrimp and grits are so good. Full of flavor...if you like spicy, try it. This is hands down one of my favorite places to go for breakfast. Although it's open from 7am-2pm, the wait is super long on the weekends if you arrive after 9am. However, it's worth the wait! It's a chain restaurant with innovative menu items. As a vegetarian with food allergies, my special tweets to menu items are always met with a smile. The Owner is there most days. He walks around with a smile as he makes himself available to customers. The few times I've been able to sneak in during the week, have proven that they do a lot of business on weekdays as well. Well Another Broken Egg Cafe Pooler was not a good choice for me today. Usually, service is good, but today just subpar. I ordered the Smoked Salmon Benedict and asked if I could have boiled eggs instead and the server said "yes of course". When my meal came out... guess what I have? poached eggs instead of boiled eggs. The server came over and see there are poached eggs on my plate, not boiled eggs. She asked "are you okay with this or do you want something else?" she said it's going to take 14mins for the eggs to boil... I told her I didn't want anything. During the time it took for our meals to come out, the eggs could have been boiled, but instead they brought out poached eggs as if I wouldn't know the difference between poached and boiled. The manager came over and said " your server has been out a while and we had a menu change and we don't carry boiled eggs anymore. We can boil you some eggs, but it will take about 10-15mins." Boiled eggs as far as I can remember have not been on the menu, but I have requested boiled eggs before for this same meal a few times before and it was no problem. The manager was contradicting and wasn't very helpful to begin with. It wasn't really about the boiled eggs, it was the fact that I asked if it could be accommodated and I was told yes, otherwise I would ordered the same meal with no eggs. The manger came over and made up some contradicting story that just really didn't make sense, and said "well I took off the meal and charged you for a side of "pots" (which are the potatoes that I didn't eat). My husband enjoyed his breakfast and said it was delish, I'm happy at least one of us had a good experience today. read more
