BATHROOMS: very clean, multiple large single stall units FOOD: they had a good selection of food. I think how full you get depends on what you order. I ordered a half sandwich and half soup combo. It was a thicc bread with two pieces of ham and a tomato, 1 slice of guyere. The soup was in a tiny ramikin, with 1 tiny baggie of crackers. My husband ordered a breakfast combo that included a full sized waffle, scrambled eggs, and two chicken apple sausage patties. On the side, we each ordered "million dollar bacon" which was essentially 4 slices of sugared bacon with some sort of drizzle sauce. They were delicious, but not $6 dollar and some change worth for 4 pieces of bacon.. I was a little interested in their honey biscuits they were promoting but I didn't want to spend any more money. The morning meditation drink and kale tonic were delicious. THE BILL: we were told to scan the QR code to pay, but he had come here the previous day with his company after PT as a bonding thing, and found out the QR code doesn't work. My wife and I had a wonderful breakfast here last Thursday morning. I had the turkey sausage gravy and biscuit with two eggs easy and grilled potatoes. My wife had a breakfast scramble with bacon, peppers, spinich, eggs and grilled potatoes. Both meals were marvelous. The service was great. We sat in very comfortable padded chairs at our table, and there were some booths as well. We loved the see through wall where you could watch the kitchen staff at work. It is pricy, but worth it. I arrived around 1030-1045 place was packed so we waited 15 minutes. After waiting 45-60 minutes there were parties who got there after us and had their food already. We ordered breakfast tacos and a waffle with bacon and grits. The tacos came finally and were cold, the meat the tortillas everything. I asked if this was a cold dish.The manager said maybe their heating thing isn't working. My waffle didn't come out with the tacos either. I explained to the manager the last 2 times I was here during the week they had to comp my drinks due to long wait, time before that they offered me blueberry muffins for my wait. So her offering me a gift card was not going to suffice. I told her I wouldn't be back at all. Which sucks because this is the only nice breakfast place in town. I'm visiting family here in Hinesville that just had a baby. So my SIL didn't want First Watch. He said it was overpriced and under delivered. I said no way. The First Watch near me is great. I did an online order for the rest of the family but I called in my order. I'm gluten free and there isn't an option for that online. The gal I spoke with seemed nice. Explained we'd have to pay for the 'Floridian' when my husband gets there... not an issue. I send my husband off. He gets there and they hand him bags and tell him he needs to pay for the extra. He calls me to verify and then pays. Grabs the bags they gave him and heads home. He gets here and my order isn't with the food. He is very upset. I call the restaurant. AND THEY BLAME MY HUSBAND. They say they told him it wasn't ready but he left anyone. RIGHT. He PAID for it but left it anyway. They told him the two bags were his order. ( He checked but didn't realize we had ordered an extra set of pancakes so there WERE 4 sets of dishes) Catherine says she voided the transaction. We will see if I actually get my money back. Which is really weird down here in the south. It's like Milwaukee claiming they're out of beer. But what I did have was really tasty. Overall okay experience. I went at 11 am on a Saturday which I later learned were peak business hours. That's probably my fault. The food was good. Not exceptional, not awful. Not really worth a one hour wait (that's ordering time to receiving the food). I did get in line online before I showed up. Prices are decent. I got the smoked salmon eggs Benedict (it came with tomato which was a pleasant surprise bc I've never had it like that before). Our service was as you'd expect for being completely packed. Walking through the door, my first observation was beautiful, earthy, simple but really appealing to the eye. We sat at the counter where we were greeted by a server named Laura who was wonderful! She was extremely friendly and informative. She heard me say that I didn't like kale as my daughter and I were discussing the drinks. Laura placed a sample cup down for me to try and told me that it was made with apples. I took the drink and was completely sold on the Green Drink!!!!! We ordered a carne asada breakfast bowl that included chorizo miscellaneous bell peppers, eggs and potatoes as well as two tortillas. My daughter ordered the prosciutto toast. My son-in-law had the same carne asada Bowl as I did but he drank two caramel macchiato crunch drinks and said they were absolutely delicious! So let me tell you my thoughts on my food. Presentation was gorgeous. I could see my food but the way they presented the avocado and the radishes and the cream sauce was just picture perfect! The taste was phenomenal. The carne asada was perfectly cooked and extremely flavorful as well as tender which I appreciate greatly because you don't always get all of those boxes checked! The potatoes were phenomenal everything was fantastic all of us were incredibly pleased with our meals and I highly recommend First Watch to anyone who is considering pulling in for breakfast or lunch. The only downside to this restaurant is that I don't have one in my town in California. I give it a hundred Stars and 750 thumbs up! This is a place that I used to enjoy coming to. My mom and I had made it a habit of coming out at least once a week to try their new dishes and even some of their classics. It slowly started to go downhill when I kept finding hair in my food. At least on three different occasions I had to return the plate because of hair in it and every time I did, I'd be met with frustration at the inconvenience of them having to bring the food out again. The food still tasted fine afterwards. But the experience just wasn't the same anymore. The coffee is just getting worse and worse, tastes old most of the time now, and just today we went again: again terrible. I got charge $5 for extra chicken patties when the meal I got was supposed to come with two but they gave me one and cut it in half to "make it fit" even though that's never been an issue before. So bc I asked for the other patty, they charged me for it. And had ordered a Bloody Mary, and just never got it. We hadn't gone in a few months since the service had gotten pretty bad, but today my husband wanted to try it since it would be his first time going to it since he got back and he was very unimpressed with the food as well. I wish I could say we loved it like we used to, but it's just not a place for us anymore. Either way, I do hope they keep having a full restaurant and loyal patrons.
