Asked for a cup for my kid to take his $6 drink with us, he goes to the back and doesn't come back until we were fed up and leaving. They need better managers and more staff. I have a construction project in the area and me and 2 of my guys frequent this Applebees, 3-4 times a week for lunch and/or dinner and drinks. On previous occasions, service was pleasant, staff was friendly and food was in line with menu and prices. However,,, today while there with my 2 friends, I ordered the 6 oz steak medium with sides. My steak dinner was delivered approx 10 minutes after everyone else's and was barely cooked beyond raw. Not trying to complain or delay our dinner further, I attempted to choke down the raw meat but after 3 bites I had to call the bar tender over to point out it's under cooked condition. He was nice and understanding and went to inform and get his manager, JAMIE. JAMIE then came over to inform me that since I had attempted to eat the steak she was only going to comp $5 off the meal and walked away. I told her we frequent this place 3 times a week and I was not one to complain but there was no way I could eat raw meat. She didn't even acknowledge the need to continue the conversation and walked to back and didn't return or give a crao in the least. Absolutely horrible experience. I am generally forgiving for services dependent on how busy they are. With that being said, there was maybe 3 tables of people at the restaurant and my group of 4 had the SLOWEST service possible. It took 15 minutes to get a single beer and I ended up going to the bar myself to get the beers me and another person from my group ordered. When the food came out, it was not hot as if it was fresh which I couldn't understand with the time we waited and one of our orders came out wrong. We were here for a military program and our hotel provided a discount, since it is located on the property of the hotel where we stayed. Overall, the service wasn't too bad. However, it could have been a bit faster, as it took us a while to get our food. I had the four cheese pasta with honey pepper chicken tenders. It came with a breadstick. The breadstick was really hard and it made it impossible to eat. The pasta was a lukewarm. I'm assuming that the dish was prepared first and it sat until the other items finished. The honey pepper chicken tenders were very good and they were hot. So maybe they were waiting on them to finish, which made my pasta not so hot. Another person in our party had the burger and fries. I did taste the fries and they were really good and seasoned well. Another person in our party had the appetizer sampler. It was big enough for three people to split. Overall, it was not too bad. The service was very slow and the restaurant wasn't even half occupied (it was a Wednesday night). The server was very courteous but moved at her own pace right from taking our order to bringing the food out. The check had too many inaccuracies that we had to point out, and a lot was left to be desired during our visit here. The very first thing when the waitress came to the table, she reeked of the smell of weed. She did not ask if there was separate checks. We had a party of 8 and only 2 of them were married. I ordered the 2 cheeseburgers for 25.00 and told her that I wanted the salads now but the burgers I wanted in a to go tray. She had one burger and both salads in to go trays. Had to wait another 20 mins for her to bring the other burger out for one of the members of our group. But that took her 3 times to come to our table and we kept reminding her. June 8th was my mother's 90th birthday and she wanted to celebrate it at her great grandchildren's favorite restaurant Applebees. We arrived approximately 4 pm and the location was not crowded. However it too more than 20 mins to be greeted by the server. She was quite pleasant took our order and brought drinks. I requested sweetened tea and upon her return asked for some kind of sweetener because it lacked any. Needless to say I never received any. Then I ask her about the complementary items due to my mom's birthday, I preregistered before we arrived. She sad she didn't know anything about that and would ask the manager. Needless to say we never received any info on that issue. The food was mediocre at best. I ordered a 8 oz steak that must have shrunk considerably during the cooking process perhaps to 3 to 4 oz and was quite salty. It seems to me that perhaps the server was not trained very well in serving but she definitely had the personality to work in such a position with a little training she would definitely be an asset. A big box restaurant that doesn't necessarily separate itself from the others, but then again, it didn't disappoint us either... We had dinner here with our newly minted daughter-in-law. It was a Thursday night when we made it into town and not wanting to burden our newest family member we decided to eat here. The service I must mention was exceptional. I wish I could remember the young lady's name, but nonetheless, she did a fantastic job. The rest of it was what you would expect, minimally, from an Appelbees. I experienced racist behavior from a host. Friday January 15th 2021 at around 8pm I went in with my husband only to be greeted the host saying the restaurant is full and no seating will be available until 15min another set of brown ladies entered and they got the same treatment. Not even 5 mins after being asked by the host to wait outside in the cold a gentleman (Caucasian) and company came and he was seated immediately. Applebees is always hit or miss. I went yesterday with my friends we were in town visiting. We usually leave feeling slightly sick from an Applebees but our experience was slightly better than usual. My friend ordered a margarita and it had a fly in it but the server took care of it and brought a new drink. Overall I'd rate this experience 6.5/10. Appetizers were brought out, but they still forgot our waters. There weren't that many people but it seemed like staff and the manager were busy having to deal with a number of problems throughout the restaurant.
