Two eggs over easy with grits and corn beef hash. Biscuit with sausage, gravy, a western omelette with salsa and hashbrowns.

THE best little diner ever! Hometown goodness at its best for sure. Friendly staff terrific food. Must try!

Off the beaten path if you are on 95 but worth the stop. Good home cookin! So we were here in between breakfast and lunch so just lunch to choose from. Great dinner options though. Even a buffet that starts at 11am. I got their Rueben. Delicious! Just the right amount of meat to fixings. Great flavors. The fries were nice and crispy. Deb got the country fried steak sandwich. Great breading. Very tasty. Didn't have gravy on it but still really good. They're very strict on the breakfast cutoff time so don't be late if that is what you are looking for but the lunch stuff is really good. Server was great and took care of us. Very hometown local vibe.

We had a delicious breakfast at Angie's Diner. The omelettes, french toast, pancakes and sausage were amazing. Our waitress was attentive and the food was served promptly. The prices are super reasonable and there are a variety of food options available on the menu. We will definitely come back!

The whole place is covered in pictures and memories, and you can just feel the love in there. It doesn't feel like a normal restaurant at all--it feels like you're stepping into someone's home. The service was amazing too. Our server was so sweet and welcoming, and there was another man helping out who was just as kind. You can tell everyone there genuinely cares about the people who walk in. And Chef Jerome... oh my gosh. He is seriously the sweetest soul ever. You can tell he puts his heart into everything he makes, and the food?? INSANE. Like actually some of the best food I've ever had. Everything tasted homemade and full of flavor. What made it even more special for me was coming back after so many years. The picture of me when I was little (probably like 13-14 years ago) compared to me now... it just made the whole experience feel so full circle & emotional. Not many places can give you that kind of feeling. This place isn't just about food--it's about memories, people, and love. I would 100% recommend it to anyone. I will definitely be back

Chef Jerome is a piece of SE Georgia history and makes some fantastic food. From the moment we pulled up to the restaurant, Chef Jerome came out and greeted us with hugs and assurances that he was going to take good care of us. The building is eclectic, quirky, rustic, and several more adjectives - but never off-putting. It is comfortable.... When you walk in, you really get a feel for the history of this place - particularly from the tens of thousands of photos that decorate the walls (virtually all of them) throughout the restaurant. There are pictures of locals, travelers and even several celebrities that have feasted at the Diner. Ben Afflect's picture is featured all over the restaurant as he frequents this place whenever he is in town (he even has his own autographed chair hanging on the wall). We were seated in the VIP room and presented with a menu with several good southern dishes from deviled crab, oysters, scallops and of course shrimp to ribs, porkchops, steaks and burgers. They are known for their Wheelchair Platter - which serves 2, 3, or 4 people. This is a collection of things that the Chef has selected for you including fried shrimp, fish, hushpuppies, pork chops, Mac 'n cheese, and other treats. Comes with slaw and potato salad (both fantastic), We ordered the platter for 2 - and it did not disappoint. We also got the sweetpotato logs with a cinnamon dipping sauce (wow!). First - those were some of the best hushpuppies I've ever eaten. Crispy on the outside but fluffy with bits of corn on the inside. yum. Everything else was cooked to perfection. Once we had eaten, Chef Jerome came out and took some pictures (for the wall of course) and had us promising (truthfully) to return soon. This place is a little out of the way. It's down a dirt road and looks a little rustic - but you will be very pleasantly surprised once you go in and let Chef Jerome take care of you. A Definite recommendation! Don't miss this treasure!

We were told that they were out of Fried Green Tomatoes and Fried Pickles but Ms.Donna double checked and we received a fresh order. Everyone seemingly enjoyed their meals. I enjoyed both waffle most. Great texture and flavor! The chicken was hit, fresh and crispy but if you're don't like heavy batter you won't like it... It reminds you of like a beer batter typically served on fish.... It's work a try! Id like to try some other meny items if I was in the area again!

I blame the slow food arrival on the heavy take out and delivery orders, which might be a problem if you dine here on your lunch break. My friend recommended the Shrimp and grits as delicious! When I inquired as to who their shrimp supplier was the waitress informed me "they came in on a truck from Atlanta". Not serving Georgia shrimp in this coastal Georgia county? No thank you to the farm raised shrimp, and minus a star for not buying local. I settled on the Bee Bacon Cheese burger. It arrived missing the bacon, with a sad looking slice of tomato, the hamburger patty appearing pre-patted frozen, as well as the typical frozen crinkle fries. Frankly, the hamburger reminded me of and tasted like the school cafeteria variety. The seasoning on the crinkle fries was a sad attempt to elevate their frozen status. And, it's summertime and tomato season. Why bother serving a hamburger with an underripe tomato? Lastly, there's no excuse for a local business to not support the local, nearby shrimping industry. Buy local and serve Georgia shrimp.

And there are kind waitresses and waiters who work with incredible energy and efficiency to end your hunger. Arriving on a weekday, we were directed to seat ourselves and within minutes, a waitress came by to get our drink orders. We reviewed the menu heavy on breakfast dishes (and noticed breakfast buffet deal of $13.95 that was offered on weekends that is surely to a big draw). Four of us got pancakes or waffles and one of us got a dish that must have been designed with vegetarians in mind of hash browns smothered in veggies with upcharges for cheese, eggs or breakfast meats. Our food arrived in minutes. The waitress quipped the cooks are fast and they are. The pancakes and the waffles were well received. The ham side ordered by one person was not sliced from a true ham but more like a deli ham. The shredded hash browns would have benefitted from a few more minutes on the flat-top but they were still solid. The veggies on top of the hashbrowns were soon soaked in hot sauce and while the broccoli may have been frozen, everything tasted good mixed together. The downside of Sunrise came in the form of whipped spread (vegetable oil) offered instead of butter and american cheese as the option for the hash brown deluxe dish. Real butter and cheddar cheese would have made a BIG difference in the taste of the pancakes, waffles, toast and the hash brown dish. That is why I gave Sunrise three stars. I would highly encourage the owners to reconsider the decision to use vegetable oil based substitutes for cheese and butter and earn a 4 star review. There are so many things to love about Sunrise. Our meal moved smoothly and the waitress handled a take out order for us that was waiting on the counter when we paid our check. We tipped 25%, remembering the direction from "LIfe's Little Instruction Book" that breakfast was a less expensive meal but the work for waitresses did not change... so always add a little more. We hope you do too!
