Sunrise on the beach.

A very nice place to have breakfast. Much better than the awful Breakfast Club. I had the Irish omelette: it was wonderful! Corned beef, onion, mushroom and eggs, with grits and toast. The bacon and sausage was borrowed from my amigo. Will try to go there again someday.

What an awesome spot to grab breakfast on the island! We walked in and were stunned at how this place just throws it back to a 60s or 70s diner feel. Think Waffle House but classier. Lots of 2 top tables and a bunch of bigger booths and tables! They also have a bar to sit at. They have an open kitchen where your food is cooked right in front of you. I ordered the breakfast burger with hashbrowns. It was amazing. A nice sausage patty that melts in your mouth on top of a toasted english muffin with an egg and cheese. My partner ordered the big breakfast, and it was big and tasty. The service was awesome, we were sat immediately, and the food came out lightning fast. Almost too fast, lol. I will absolutely come back to this establishment more than once in the future, and recommend you stop here during your visit!

5 stars all around! We went for breakfast, and I highly recommend it. The customer service was friendly, the food was delicious, the prices were reasonable, and the service was quick. The location is super convenient, and they even offer free parking--an absolute rarity in Tybee!

First time coming here and it was very pleasant. I would compare it to a nicer waffle house or something adjacent. I didn't try the buffet because we came on the wrong day, but I did get their egg hash brown skillet. My eggs were a little undercooked but honestly, I like it that way, so not a problem. The hashbrowns were very good and it came with a lot of vegetables which I enjoyed because honestly at other places like a waffle house and stuff they really don't have a good vegetable variety and this did the toast was very tasty and the service was good would come again. I love a good breakfast cute little place. The kitchen is very open, plenty of seasonings and sauces on the table as well as a lot of whipped butter and different jelly/jam options.

Buffet plate - worth the price!

The service here is amazing! The food followed suit and was also equally as great and came out very quickly after ordering. The ambiance isn't anything to write home about - but cmon - sit down, eat breakfast and be about your business. This is a must stop for breakfast on Tybee Island!

A great crew of dedicated cooks and waitstaff. I had the pleasure of watching the cooks. So fun. I had the Irish Omelette which was so delicious I want to rename it Morning Nap on a plate! Here's a couple of pics.

This is your place if you want to get fast and cheap breakfast. But also good. If you are looking for anything fancy it's not your place. But otherwise definitely come here for breakfast

From the moment we walked in, things went downhill fast. The sign at the entrance said "Seat yourself," so we did--splitting between two nearby tables. Within moments, a server stormed over, speaking to us with incredible rudeness, insisting we all cram into one table. She and another waitress then started talking about us, clearly within earshot. When we asked what was going on, the server raised her voice, became aggressive, and even started cussing at us. Feeling completely disrespected, we got up to leave--only to have her follow us to the door, still yelling. The manager came out and apologized, but didn't seem willing or able to hold her accountable. It felt like the staff was running the place, not the manager. An incredibly uncomfortable and upsetting experience.

Two egg breakfast with corn beef hash and grits

I came here with coworkers while in town for a conference. We took a morning to drive to the island to check it out. Considering it was a Wednesday morning in November, it was our only breakfast option. Thankfully, it did not disappoint! We each ordered something different. I ordered the two egg breakfast with corn beef hash and grits. Other orders included the hash brown special, two eggs with chopped sirloin, and two eggs with hash browns. The food came out quickly and everything was delicious! Prices were great as well, especially considering that this is a tourist island. I would definitely come back to this place, if in town again in the future. It's a pretty low key diner, but an extensive menu and super friendly staff.

This place was packed on a Tuesday morning in October. We had come because the hype from the Breakfast Club was not hype at all. Sunrise is just across the street and a 1/2 block walk from BC. We waited about 15min and then seated. The waiting is just given a number and written down. Our waitress took our order of drinks and then food. Food took a minute to come out, but they were busy. I got the cheeseburger omelet with hashbrowns and bacon and it was YUMMY. My husband has the steak and eggs with hashbrowns and my friend had another omelet and loved it! The coffee was very good too. They also have baskets of butter and mini jellies with bottles of syrup and jelly on the table. Our order for 3 adults and 2 kids came to $87.00 with tip. Food was good and service was okay - again they were busy, probably because everyone was coming from the breakfast club not being fully operational.

Location is fantastic, you are right next to the beach and there's a constant breeze coming from the ocean (always bring something to wear on top). The ambience is overall very cute, simple and romantic at the same time. Also nice to enjoy with family (grown up family - I feel like kids wouldn't have a lot of space to run around ). We had chips and dips, two cocktails (key lime martini and pink flamingo) and a white wine (brut). My favorite was definitely the key lime martini, but that's of course a matter of taste. If I were in tybee island for more days, I would most likely be at this place every evening! (They also have food, but we got here for an after dinner)

We didn't stay and eat in restaurant, but it wasn't too loud or cramped when we picked it up. The server over the phone misheard me a lot and got a few things wrong with our order, but they were very small and not super consequential. The shrimp was yummy but I wish the seasoning hadn't all been on the outside of the shell. But everything was well made and we ate it up so quickly!

We were in Savannah for my cousin's bachelor party, and there were eight of us. Every meal, a different cousin got to pick where we ate. One afternoon, someone suggested Oakie's because it was close to Tybee Beach. The only thing I had asked all weekend was, "Let's make it a sit-down restaurant." As we pulled into the parking lot, I immediately realized this was a deli--walk up to the counter, order your food, and either take it to go or grab one of the small café-style tables. My cousin walked in first, I followed behind him, and he turned around and looked at me. I just shook my head and said, "Nope... there's nowhere for eight of us to sit. Let's go somewhere else." While everyone debated where to go next, one of my cousins said, "We're wasting time. Let's just grab food here and eat wherever." Best. Decision. We. Made. The. Entire. Trip. I ordered the Turkey Supreme, and while we waited we watched a steady stream of locals and visitors coming in and out. Eventually we all found places to sit and just decided to eat there. Three of us took our first bite, looked at each other, and almost at the same time said, "We're coming back here for breakfast tomorrow before we head home." And that's exactly what we did. We ate here twice in less than 24 hours and couldn't stop talking about how incredible the food was. Fresh ingredients, perfectly made sandwiches, generous portions, and everything was packed with flavor. Sometimes the simplest places end up serving the best food. Oakie's checks every box for what a neighborhood deli should be. Great food, friendly people, quick service, and consistently delicious meals. What you find inside is a nicely appointed restaurant with a beautiful long bar which we highly recommend you eat at. Our bartender Christy was amazing. But more about her later, right now I will talk about the food. We started with the margarita scallops, which was chunks of seared scallops soaked in margarita on toasted wonton chips with a black bean corn, salsa and drizzle with a local aioli, YUM! We also had their fried green tomatoes, which came with apricot horseradish sauce and aoli. Kiki had the catch of the day, which was a grilled piece of grouper atop mediterranean couscous and a medley of mediterranean vegetables. I had the prime rib, which came with lobster Chili Churri butter and a brandy peppercorn sauce. Both entrees were amazing. Now back to our bartender Christie. To say that she wears many hats is an understatement. She greeted us when we sat at the bar, by the way, did I mention that you can reserve seats at the bar? She described the menu items in a way that you only expect to find from a waiter in the finest restaurants in the world. She addressed any and all allergy issues relating to these dishes all the while she is making drinks for patrons at the bar as well as handling the service bar for all the patrons in the restaurant. Without missing a beat, she takes our order.Buses plates from other customers and continues to make drinks for everybody in the restaurant. At this point I think I told her her new nickname should be the Flash. At one point during our dinner, we saw her serve a bottle of wine to another couple at the end of the bar. Her presentation was that of a full wine sommelier with pouring a taste for approval while showing the label of the bottle as she waited for the customers approval then pouring the glasses after approval was given.
