Menu has a clear focus on a several diff go to dog options, along with other sando and plated selections. Don't sleep on them oysters either! We have a fantastic dinner with a fish dip app plus 3 of the 4 oysters featured. Split an Italian dog and a chicken thigh sando that was incredible. Do not get the coffee at Sea Wolf Tybee. In Sea Wolf's defense, our server told me as such. I ordered coffee, and he practically begged me not to. "Imagine Folgers... but worse," he said. I grew up on Eight O'Clock coffee--the only brand worse than Folgers-- so opted to brave the drip from Sea Wolf Tybee. How bad could it really be? Really bad. The Sea Wolf Tybee coffee was really, really, bad. The owners have made a deal with the barrier island devil where their successful establishment came at the expense of serving the worst coffee on earth. The coffee wasn't just bland, it was reeking with flavor, as if a tybee island horseshoe crab has been decaying in the coffee pot since the eatery was established in 2020. The server tried his hardest to prevent this 4-star review by warning me about the coffee, and in his defense the taste is not why I deducted Sea Wolf Tybee one star. I deducted one star because the vile 12oz cup of black drip coffee was $5 dollars. Like any diner at a lunch spot, I did not check the coffee's price before ordering it, assuming it'd be the standard $2-3 dollars. Even specialty coffee shops max their drip coffee prices at $4.50. Instead, Sea Wolf Tybee has opted to charge $5, rake-in a 95% profit margin, and exploit the trust of patrons who assume a cup of joe won't cost as much as Georgia's hourly minimum wage. I'm a former barista and coffee-lover, and $5 is the most expensive drip coffee I have ever encountered. Sea Wolf Tybee had outdone itself--the bill was more nauseating than the coffee. read more

We tried the following: Tybee Salt Bombs (TYB) small, high salinity Naked Jade (AL) small, high salinity Bull River (SAV) med, low salinity Beausoleil (PEI) med, med salinity None met my expectations except the Bull River as they all had low salinity and were small. Not a huge fan of the above options. I was hoping for additional oyster options and possibly a few cooked options oyster Rockefeller. We also ordered the Classic Dog; wagyu beef with dill relish, pickled onion, ketchup, mustard, kewpie mayo which was devoured within a few minutes. I personally ordered the Fun-Guy Boy; wagyu beef, mushroom pâté, pickled jalapenos, fried onions, roasted red pepper aioli, parsley. Interesting items on a hot dog but they all meshed well together and the bun was buttery and delicious. The hot dogs came with a side of chips; regular or voodoo. I opted for the voodoo. We also ordered the Chilled Poke Bowl with seared tofu, sesame ginger marinade, edamame, carrots, cucumber, brown rice, wasabi aioli & nori komi furikake and my friend said it was good. I can only take her word because she ate it all. As for the cocktails we ordered the Margarita at the Mall and a Painkiller. I personally did not like the margarita it did not taste like anything I've ever tried before. The painkiller was a hit. All in all. Service was average. We ordered, our food came and we paid. Nothing special. However the atmosphere was beach and cute; very laid back environment. All in all I would try them again because the menu frequently changes and the vibe was chill and laidback. We had a disappointing dinner here. The best thing about the place was its eclectic decor. The decorations are charming. It's set off the beaten track near the post office in a converted cottage house. They don't have a telephone so there are no reservations. The restaurant has an outside (uncovered) patio area with tables and inside there's a small bar and closely placed tables. You will enjoy looking at all the wall hangings, photos, artwork, and collectibles. Service was also decent. Most folks nearby enjoyed their oysters before other options. We'd had so much seafood the past few days, that what appealed about their menu was the Wagyu hot dogs. We each ordered the classic wagyu which came with a choice of toppings and a choice of potato chips -- voodoo or salt. Unfortunately, they were delivered lukewarm. And tasted like they'd been boiled. They did offer to replace it when I mentioned the temp, but l didn't think it would help. And as my husband said, he preferred the $1.50 Costco hot dog he had a couple weeks ago better. What a fun place. The patio is pet friendly and they have citronella candles on the tables for the mosquitos. However, the food was good. We did have to wait a bit but it wasn't that long. Very divey inside. I do wish they had a screened in patio because the mosquitos were biting! Food was good. Small nachos was enough for 1 person. They did run out of pork so I had chicken. Such a fun restaurant with a great ambiance and an eclectic atmosphere that really sets it apart. The overall vibe made for an enjoyable dining experience. The service, however, was somewhat inconsistent. While everything was eventually delivered, a few items from my order such as oysters and my choice of chips were initially forgotten. Additionally, my interaction with the bartender felt a bit unfriendly, and the waitstaff were not particularly engaging. There was minimal eye contact, and at times it felt as though they were avoiding interaction, which detracted slightly from the overall experience. That said, the food was a highlight. I would definitely recommend the Voodoo Dog, which was excellent, and the smorgasbord was also very enjoyable. Overall, I appreciated the unique atmosphere and quality of the food. It's definitely offseason but being in the area for work, I still came to visit Tybee for the nostalgic value. This was a great place to have some dinner. The decor and vibe of this place is absolutely fantastic. It's very funky and fun in all of the best ways. And the best part is that the staff, is equally as awesome. They are super friendly, very knowledgeable on the menu, and eager to help in any way possible. The food while it seems simple with "hot dogs and seafood " is next level. Everything tasted extremely unique, very freshly prepared, and was very reasonably priced. Fabulous spot. Inside is cozy and classy, with little nooks, comfortable seating, lots of corner snugs. It's clearly a locals favorite, but open and welcoming to visitors like us. The maitre d'hotel is right on top of his game, as are the wait staff. We largely eat plant-based, so we were thrilled to have many options on the menu to choose from. We dined here twice: once seated inside, and once seated outside, which was also inviting, with lots of cushions. It is not easy to keep an outdoor space immaculate, but this restaurant does. We had the French dip with portobello mushroom and real provolone, as well as the Elotes dog with beyond sausage. We both had a cocktail - I had the margarita at the mall, which was divine. I literally moaned out loud when I ate my French dip it was so delicious. The Wolf Bowl is full of crunch and flavor - we polished it off with gusto. The chips that accompany the "dogs" are tasty and fresh - our waitress gave us a container to pack them up for beach the next day with a smile - we wanted to save room for dessert, and that was the right choice both times. When we were waiting for a table, a guest ahead of us was anticipating the oysters, a speciality of the house. We overheard another guest talking to staff about the oysters expected, and when. (I don't eat oysters myself, so I did not follow it closely, but this is definitely the place to go for seafood - they are getting the catch fresh, and they know precisely who they are getting it from. ) My husband ordered a mojito, which was not on the menu. The bartender came out to apologize, "we don't have mint, but we might have some in the front garden, is that okay?" I had gone to another place for oysters on Tybee Island and was disappointed... This place has the most stars on yelp and good reviews for oysters so my boyfriend and I decided to check it out. Boy am I glad we did! This place did not disappoint!! The restaurant is small, but cute with an eclectic atmosphere and smells so yummy . They have a few signature cocktails. My bf got their take on the old fashioned, Richard Rum, but wasn't a fan. It's made with rum instead of whisky. If you like gin, I recommend the zippah. It pairs well with the oysters. You can choose your own oysters. They locally source them from NC, SC, MA & VA. We chose the only oysters with high salinity (I believe they were from NC). The oysters were tiny however they tasted amazing and they paired nicely with the sauces they came with (wasabi, apple cider vinegar & cocktail sauce). We were still hungry after that so I ordered dips & pickles. It comes with toasted bread. All the dips were amazing on their own, with the bread and paired on the bread Still hungry and bc they smelled so good, we both got a backyard brat. Weird that a place has oysters and glizzies but it works! The brat was good, but a little too soft imo. I like my hotdogs and brats with a little char from the grill, but the toppings and pretzel bun made the flavors pop. All the staff we encountered were nice even though we arrived about 40 mins to closing time which is 10 pm. Unsure if they stay open longer in the summer. The waitress was nice and attentive. Amazing, phenomenal service! This has to be one of the best server experiences that I've ever received. From the moment we approached the hostess, the service was impeccable. The hostess was kind and sweet. Once we were seated, our server was attentive, open to answering questions and willing to accommodate our needs. The drinks were delicious! I highly recommend ordering The Pink Squirrel, whenever it's on the menu. Of course, I ordered the famous Glizzy dog and it did not disappoint! The crab dip, oof! So good!! We were looking forward to enjoy a Sunday lunch on Tybee yesterday before attending a show at the Tybee Post Theatre. This was initially a party of four, but with six additional friends with plans to meet at Sea Wolf before the show, we had a tabletop of 10 people. With no hostess in sight and a line six people deep outside, I asked a waitress on the empty outside deck if we could just go ahead and seat ourselves on said empty deck. She said that would be okay and the hostess would be out soon. The line outside hadn't moved no hostess ever appeared. About 10 minutes later a server came outside and very rudely told us we had to get up, go to the back of the line and wait for the hostess. We did follow her demand and got up from the table, but we left immediately we will not return to Seawolf in the future. We then called the rest of our party to meet us at a different location where we were greeted with a hostess, and immediately were seated at a table with a smile and immediate service. read more

Not a huge deal, we are all people accustomed to being outside and we might have decided to power through, but when we asked our server if there was anything to do--sometimes in this situation restaurants will have directional fans, bug spray, etc.--she was super condescending, told us it was just part of being outside, offered no solutions, and acted like we were the problem for asking. It was a bizarrely rude. I was trying to ask if we could adjust a fan to try to help, but she cut me off with her insulting tone so we left. Don't get me wrong, these are quality dogs, nice toppings (my 'sea wolf chili dog' came on Texas toast, the 'chili' was just ground beef) but when you think hotdog and chips that's what you're gonna get, nothing mind blowing. Shared the salmon dip as an app, too- it was just lox cream cheese, saltines, and (admittedly, another barely redeeming quality) some of the best baguette I've had. Ok...so I was so curious about Sea Wolf. It did NOT disappoint. As soon as we pulled in, I was smitten. It was quaint and perfectly adorned with quirky decor. There also seemed to be a shop cat which I loved. Adrian was our server and she was a total sweetheart! My friend ordered a mocktail. It was ginger based with an almond syrup if I remember correctly. It was fantastic. I ordered oysters to start. 4 Tybee oysters and 4 from SC. They were salty and sweet and chilled to perfection. Asked the server if we could move inside when the rest of our group arrived; he kindly moved us immediately. We came here for drinks after a beach day. Our bartender was amazing! I'll def come back for food- but this review is strictly based on the bar. This is a smaller bar, so if it's a busy season be mindful with seating. There's also space to sit at high tops outside with your drinks, which is always welcomed in nice weather. Some drinks were also fairly priced- I hope this lasts, but we know inflation won't let us thrive. It's a little secluded too, not on the beach or by any other busy areas. We shared a smoked fish appetizer which was fabulous!! I am a big fan of smoked fish and this was the best I have had in years. We both had the meatloaf. It was excellent.
