Service was excellent and the food was delicious. Some of the best fried chicken I have ever had. Every thing was delicious, fresh, and hot.

We've been trying to get in here for years but their hours didn't allow a visit. Now that they're open on Saturdays we finally got to give them a try. Southern comfort food. Options seem to rotate. One day you're getting spaghetti and meatloaf, another day you're getting stew and pork. But the staples like fried chicken, mash potatoes and macaroni seem constant. The fried chicken, coincidentally, was the best thing I've tried, with the stew coming in a close second. There are MANY options so we definitely got our money's worth. The desserts look they're homemade as well. $15-16 including a drink is a great value. I tried it to-go the other day and it's charged based on weight. The price still ended up topping out as the same price as the buffet, so sitting down is definitely the best and only real option. Overall this is a great option after church or for lunch. In a city like Jesup with so few independent restaurants, this one is one of the best! read more

We went for lunch when we picked up our yearly bees for our hives. We were greeted into what appeared to be a family owned business. Friendly service and very nice people. We were hungry and the buffet did not disappoint. We had pork chop, fried chicken, sausages and southern country veggies as well as many other offerings. There were several sauces on the table one being local cane syrup which my husband loves on cornbread. The interior is family style tables, nothing fancy but a local favorite so who would complain. I think it gets busy here because the food is good, homemade and plentiful. People were friendly and since being a local favorite establishment, many of the patrons knew each other and were joining others at their tables. Very family oriented...reminiscent of firehouse style eating. Go try it out!!! read more

An amazing lunch today at this buffet restaurant. A really good selection of delicious hot foods and a nice selection of desserts. The banana pudding was great... Lots of bananas too. The servers were so nice bringing a whole pitcher of iced tea to our table. read more

This place offers cafeteria style VERY Southern food. Also the only drink options are tea, lemonade, or water. If you like Southern food, you'll love this place. Also, it tends to be pretty chilly inside (thermostat normally set to the low-mid 60s for reference point). However, if you're overall not a fan of southern food, I don't recommend. We were in town running errands and decided to give it a go, the people were more than pleasant and the food appeared delectable. We asked for an explanation how it worked being our first time and proceeded to eat. We had fried chicken, spaghetti, veggies, and then each of us had different items from there...I can share my experience as far as the chicken I thought it was rather dry, alot dryer than the pork chops, and I hate to rant on negatively of my local food but I found this place just average...I had to try based on the reviews but I honestly can say I cannot see myself coming back... read more

What's not to like at the most famous place in Wayne County for soul food cooking. The fried chicken, fried pork chops are the best around. They also have a cracker salad that is incredible. This place is absolutely incredible! We ate pretty much everything and loved it all--even our picky daughters :) We really enjoyed the fried chicken, Mac and cheese, baked beans, black eyed peas, the brown gravy, fish, and the kids really liked the spaghetti. So if you're in the mood for Southern meats, you can go here and get the best fried chicken you've had anywhere. Taking the time to explain every wonderful detail about the food put out by this buffet would take me longer than the time it took to eat it. It was close to a spiritual experience. The sweet potato pie seriously brought tears to my eyes. My friend and dining companion, who has been eating at Jones Kitchen since, "I dunno; forever" (her words) laughed at me, and said "I told-ja". This is southern cooking at its finest. One of "The Best" meat and vegetables buffets in the state of Georgia. Jones Kitchen is located in Jesup Georgia about a 45 minute drive from St Simons Island. I loved all the vegetables and the fried chicken was great. They have a couple of specialty items such as cracker salad that you need to try. The desserts were also very good. For $8.00 including tea, this is a steal. We will definitely be making this trip again real soon. I believe that are only open for lunch from 11 to 2. read more

This is the best buffet we have ever eaten! Clean, friendly and a huge selection to choose from even though we were within 30 minutes of closing time. Staff was very friendly making sure you hadn't missed anything. One of the few places now days that give you your own pitcher of tea! Today is Thursday and fried pork chops is on the buffet line. Carrot-raisin salad, cucumber and tomato salad, string beans, yams, turnip greens, okra, squash casserole, stewed tomatoes, Black-eyed peas, fried chicken, and biscuit. (No room on my plate for the butter beans, potato salad, or other vegetables or salad greens.) You sit family style, at long tables. And the very attentive waitresses bring the drink. Can't say enough about how delicious the food was! Every bite was exceptional. I thought I was going early by getting there a little before 11:30, but there were already people leaving and the parking lot was full when I arrived.
