We stopped in for lunch. We thought we'd try it again as we haven't been here for years. We ordered a Pizza. It was excellent. The owners have spent much time since our last visit sprucing up the interior. You'll get a charge out of the multi-level dumbwaiters that roll up to your table with your order! First, I want to say that I would give this place 4.5 stars if I could. It is better than 4 stars, but not quite 5 since it could improve some things. The location and inside decor reflects the down home vibe of the restaurant. It is eclectically decorated and has an arcade that is free for customers to use. Service is unique in that robots deliver the food you order! This is something I've never personally experienced and did not expect my first experience would be in a little town in the middle of Georgia! The humans were friendly and attentive. The food is good for what it is; American southern diner (burgers, fried foods, sandwiches, etc) although there were some surprises - poutine and a pizza buffet. The pizza was pretty mediocre, but maybe it is better fresh. The salad bar was good, with lots of choices. I love the dish names for the kids menu; very humorous! read more

Management and customer Service is trash inside the restaurant. Management only listens to one side of a story and comes over to the table talking loud and ignorant. No ma'am, we typically order takeout at least one a week because it's convenient however I won't be back. I would have given them a zero if I could've. Have been going to Melody's for quite a few years, since they were originally in Richmond Hill. They have great service and they have expanded so much. They have an exceptional menu and drink menu. Very good food with many choices. Highly recommend. read more

This was our first time trying Melody's & we had the pleasure of having Maddie as our server. Her service was AH-MAZING! She recommended all of the top dishes & was attentive to our table. We chose fried pickles for the appetizer, pizza for the kids (BBQ chicken & pepperoni), fish & chips, & the mahi mahi tacos. For dessert we had the churros! I honestly did not expect this level of quality in such a cozy, family-friendly atmosphere. Truly love at first bite! Hands down, this was the best pizza I've ever had. The crust? Absolutely incredible--the best I can describe it is lightly toasted with a crunchy finish. This was a quick stop to dine on a long trip. And it was a good one! The entire experience was quite the pleasant one. The ambiance was homely and self made. With fun decor on every wall, fun tables, and music. They even had an arcade! The service was interesting too, as the servers were nice, but THEY HAD A ROBOT SERVER!!! Thats right a robot server!!! That server was so cool, do they have a name? I'd like to thank the robot server in this post, along with the human servers and staff too! Lots of arts and crafts hanging you can view and purchase and then the food- let's get to it! We ordered a pizza - absolutely delicious and the fried tomatoes!!! So good! This was the first time my husband and I ate at melody café. I'm so glad they moved to Midway we had our order delivered, which was on time. everything was perfect , my husband had the burger it was cooked exactly how he wanted it. I had the fish and chips it was also delicious the tartar sauce was amazing I dipped everything in it. my husband and I both could not say enough good things about the hush puppies they we're on point we also ordered two different desserts the churro and the deep-fried cheesecake both were so delicious both came with vanilla ice cream soooo good. everything we ordered was delicious. The service and ambiance were the best things about this place! You can't beat the atmosphere and the fun way your food is delivered by a robotic server! The people I was dining with enjoyed their fish and chips and fish tacos which looked amazing and I wish I had maybe ordered that. However my fish burrito was ok at best. I took a star off for my dish, as I am picky. Someone else may like it tho. However my fried okra as a side rocked!!! It was delicious! I would however like to come back and try their Pizza next time I am in town visiting family as I hear great things about it! read more

Lots going on here at Melodys. There is a bar, an arcade, and a restaurant. Food is reasonably priced but just OK. The arcade is nice but each game is $1. Shrimp was good but bang bang sauce wasn't great. Quesidias chicken was a bit rubbery but was a huge portion. Chips and queso was good. Service was quick and they're using robots to deliver which was kinda cool. Still need waitress to take good off the robot though. We didn't have a wait so that was good. read more

Melody''s is soooooooo good. If your in the area it's a must have. Me and my Sister stop here all the time. The staff is really sweet- especially if you a local and they know you. I always get the chicken nachos but sub the chips for cajun fires and it's soooo good. They now have pizza severed only on certain days and it's better the pizza places in the area and other pizza places. They also have ice cream and it is so good. Also there deep fried cheesecake is amazing and I have to get it every time I go. I love the vibe of the place it gives all the beach vibes and there is an arcade inside. read more

Family owned restaurant, not a chain. Our hostess/server was very nice. The outside will make you think twice on whether to stop, but the inside looks like a renovated barn. The kids burger was pretty good and the fried oysters were plump, fresh and tasty. My son had the oyster & shrimp po'boy, which he seemed to like (a different choice of roll may have helped if you're a po'boy snob.) My husband had the pulled pork sandwich. It didn't wow him but he liked it. I think they are on their way to making this place a go to (for other than locals). A few more salad options and vegetables beside canned green beans would be a nice addition. read more

We found this cute little place from a Yelp! search while driving down I-95 (one of us driving, the other searching) and stopped in for some delicious shrimp and fish tacos. The service was prompt, restrooms clean and the tacos were excellent. We both had our protein blackened with slaw as a side - hit the spot perfectly. Add this to the list of "Unexpected Gems!" Was looking for lunch while driving north on 95 towards Savannah and Kathy found this place with great reviews on Yelp. It's about 4 miles off the highway but worth the drive. Doesn't look like much, but judging by the number of locals enjoying lunch, they've figured out that appearances can be deceiving. Best fried green tomatoes ever - light tasty crispy batter, firm delicious tomatoes: just excellent! Very good oyster Po' Boy with very good remoulade. And an inventive take on a Bahn Mi - great bread and veggies, made with tasty bbq pork. My only complaint is that the pork was too salty. Terrific classic key lime pie. This place was pretty decent! We got takeout one weekend. I decided to try their Ban Mi sandwich and fries. It was a huge portion! I couldn't finish it. I was surprised to get a Vietnamese sandwich at a place like this, but I was happy. My husband got a burger and he seemed pretty happy with it as well. read more

My wife and met a couple that was traveling through to Florida for dinner. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. We were met by a very friendly young lady and escorted to a quiet booth in the back which was perfect to catch up with old friends! Each of us ordered something different but all of us ordered seafood. I had blackened Mai Mai with fries, I do not believe you could have gotten anything better anywhere!!! Absolutely delicious!! My wife got Cod and I snuck a bit and it was delicious. My friends wife got fish tacos, didn't sneak a taste but they looked so good. I'd recommend this place for a very casual relaxing place to enjoy a great simple meal that you absolutely will enjoy!!! They were lightly battered and fresh my wife ordered the mahi tacos and she was very impressed with them. The prices are very reasonable for being a seafood restaurant. We found this place on Yelp decided to try it. Truth be told we are visiting the area and went the wrong way on the highway so we ended up in Midway Ga. when we walked in there were kids running around and my Husband actually said "This doesn't look good." I told him let's try it we are here. The place is casual and they have an arcade for kids. It's a local hang out I believe and there was a kids birthday party going on. We ordered the blackened Mahi Mahi. It came with a side and two hush puppies. We found the fish to be very good. The prices were good also. Our servers were pleasant too. I only mark it down because of kids and the arcade and we generally would want it to be quiet but the food was good. read more

We stopped here for a "quick" lunch, on our way from St. Augustine to Beaufort, SC. We were there for over an hour for a simple sandwich. The place looks like it serves as a country/western venue on weekends. It has a large single room with a stage at one end and a barn-like feel to it. When we walked in, the cashier was having a conversation with regulars and said that it would be about 10 minutes for a table, which didn't seem unreasonable, until we looked into the dining room and saw several empty tables. It only took 5 minutes to "clean off a table," but we could have been seated at others. We weren't real hungry, so ordered a gyro to share. It took 40 minutes! How long does it take to shave meat from the large lamb/beef loaf and put it on a piece of pita with some sauce? The food was good, but the service was so miserable, I don't recommend it. What a nice surprise! Definitely worth the short trip off the interstate. We weren't sure what to expect from the outside but loved the inside. High ceilings, arcade, bar and interesting decor. We had fried shrimp, fried cod, fried okra and cole slaw all of which were delicious. My husband even got to try the Kentucky Barrel Bourbon beer which he enjoyed. Well, I'm afraid I have to break the five star trend after visiting Melody's for lunch recently. First, the interior of the restaurant is just weird. Kitschy, but not in a fun or attractive sense. The lighting was awful, the decor, color scheme, and furniture was just unattractive. The atmosphere did not encourage lingering over a meal. Service was very friendly and accommodating thus the two stars. Reviews and it's website seemed to tout this place as having creative made from scratch cooking. Our appetizer of clam strips came right out of the frozen food section and were fried too long. Since living on the East coast, I have sampled just about every clam preparation, and even had some incredibly good frozen varieties, but these were just bad. Thank goodness, we decided to share the patty melt. The sandwich, with grilled onions, Swiss and American cheese, and griddled rye bread was decent enough. The fries were the coated/battered kind, which were left untouched. Another bagged product. It's never a good thing when you can't wait to exit a restaurant. Sorry Melody, you are not singing the right note for these folks. read more
