We went on Mother's Day for brunch, and before I start I get it... promise I am not going to be mean. The staff that greeted us was very nice and accommodating with our reservation and the time moved quickly to get us seated. The place and the kitchen were extra busy to be expected...The problem I have was with the service... if you have read any of my reviews it has to be rough ..because I am service team defender #1. She made several apologies ...understood... BUT... and this is my problem especially if you have worked on tips and it's not a normal service day... even if the kitchen is backed up - at least keep the contact with your table, water glass and coffee cup filled.. and before we start to defend the service she had 3 tables at the most and we had to ask several times IF we even saw her on the floor... for coffee or water. At times she would just walk by and not even make an attempt to check. Look I get it and I'm not here to bash but when you are spending $$ the wait is easier if you have a full drink and some interaction with the staff. (I don't need to be baby sat) Here's what hurts... we have frequented ABE for over 10 years starting in PCB. After an hour of sitting, the food finally rolled out. The beignets were doughy on the inside. The crab cake Benedict was soggy... the potato's were lukewarm, the grits were good not going to beat everything up and when we could get coffee it was great... I watched her other tables (because I had Plenty of time while staying engaged with my people) and it was obvious they were having the same experience. OK the bail out... will we go back "yes" probably not on a holiday... LOL. It could have been a bad day for her... it could be she's new.. based on their standards... overall for me it was disappointing and not the best experience... what's redeeming is when the mother of your children is gracious and forgiving... read more

Waited over an hour for food while at least five tables seated after us were served first. When the food finally arrived, it was cold. I took two bites before sending it back because it was genuinely inedible. After already enduring the delay, we then waited another 20 minutes for the remake I never even wanted in the first place. What stood out most was that another customer noticed how visibly frustrated and disappointed we were and kindly paid for our table before management even properly addressed the situation. Instead of accountability or a sincere apology, the comp was presented as if it were some grand act of generosity. A bad meal can happen anywhere. But poor service, poor communication, and a lack of empathy are what truly ruin the experience. read more

I had a wonderful experience this morning at Another Broken Egg Cafe. The entire team worked together to make sure we were well taken care of from the time we placed our name on the list, to the time we walked out very satisfied. The ambiance was great, cozy restaurant, making sure all the families were happy and enjoying the delicious breakfast they were sending out. Collectively, our table tried the waffle, pancakes and French toast, everything was delicious, including the delicious beignets, eggs, potatoes, sausage... & of course we tried the mimosas! I had the lemon blueberry mimosa, it was mimos-sing lol. Our server and the owner made sure we were enjoying the warm hospitality and delicious breakfast. Come with me to Another Broken Egg in Pooler, GA. This was my first time there, and my friends said it was delicious. I can now say I am a fan. They have a great selection of breakfast foods. I had their tiramisu French toast, seasoned potatoes, and bacon. I was scared it might be too sweet, but it was right. My friends had the pumpkin waffle and the Lobster Hash Benedict. They both loved their dishes. One of them wished they had more room to finish the entire plate of the Lobster Hash Benedict. They also gave us a plate of complimentary beignets since it was my first visit. Overall, Another Broken Egg was great. The service quality was an opportunity, but even then, it was decent. Everything, I ordered the eggs, Benedict and told my waitress how I would like them done they came out not how I ordered them and the English muffin wasn't even toasted. This place is so delicious it's dangerous. The city grits have so much flavor with add cheese, scallions, tomatoes and bacon. I've tried a variety of items from this location and nothing has disappointed me yet! The Bourbon Street pancakes are so decadent with a sweet bourbon sauce, topped with bananas and pecans. I love this place, they always have friendly staff and reasonable prices. Just be prepared to wait for a table as they are a small establishment. We had a kids waffle, smoked salmon eggs Benedict, and a biscuit and gravy. We arrived at 7:00 when they opened, and had the best service. When we walked in we were not acknowledged when two employees could be seen and had looked at us. It was definitely Over priced for not good quality of food. Bacon was disgusting. Eggs do not seem like fresh cracked eggs. I ordered the cinnamon roll French toast with the rum sauce on the side. It was good and the berries seemed fresh. Husband ordered the chicken and waffles. The waffle was dry, but the chicken was not. Kids had pancakes and waffles with eggs and bacon. Pancakes and waffle were dry. Bacon was too hard for my kids. Bathroom floor was disgustingly sticky. And drain was not draining the water. Our server was good. She did her job well. She ordered our food, served it, checked in with us, and gave our check when we were finished. We visited on 12/30/24 for a little mommy-son brunch date, and we had such a lovely experience. Our waitress was cheerful, patient, and genuinely kind--she helped me choose a drink and let me know I could order it alcohol-free, which I really appreciated. She also made a point to include my son by letting him place his own order, which made him feel so special. The food was delicious with huge portions, and everything was very reasonably priced. I also liked that there were TVs visible if you wanted to watch, but not so close that they were distracting. I have to admit, partly based on it's location in a big box, strip mall, my expectations were measured. The atmosphere is clean and fine, the service was friendly and attentive, and this place serves REAL food, like what tastes like real, home cooked with love, food. I cook and I travel for my job so I take food very seriously and I'm a little hard to impress. We had the shrimp and grits and the huevos rancheros, both were excellent!!! Savannah has a reputation for good food and even here on the edge of town, these folks maintain a high standard. We were seated immediately and the waitress took our drink order and I chose a regular coffee, she chose and iced caramel drink. We both ordered the apple fritter French toast, it was served with fresh apples and topped with this delicious caramel sauce along with some blueberries it was amazing!!! Not too sweet and the apples gave it a nice tart contrast to balance the caramel sauce. I travel A LOT for work, and I've eaten at thousands of restaurants but I have never experienced service like this. ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL! Southern Hospitality at its finest. The food was delicious and I also liked the atmosphere! Here's my story: I'm about to leave the city after a 4-day work trip. My friend says I need to experience more "Georgian" food before I leave. I call Another Broken Egg Cafe because it was close to the Savannah airport. A woman named Rachael answered the phone and was extremely kind. I asked about their menu to see if I could get that "Georgian" taste. She recommended the Deep South biscuit sandwich + city grits. I also asked if they had anything with peaches. She tells me to hold on, and a gentleman joins the call and says his name is Chef Stephaun. He says he was heading out and that he can pick up some peaches and make something that I can try before I leave town. I was flattered, but I told him I didn't want him to go out of his way. He insisted that it wasn't a problem at all. I thanked him and told him I was heading over to the restaurant. At this point, I'm already feeling that this is the best service ever! I arrive and tell the woman at the front desk that I called in earlier. She says my name and gives the warmest welcome! After getting seated, I tried the Deep South first and it was rich in flavor and made me feel that I would've regretted leaving the city without stopping here first. But then, just when it couldn't get any better, Chef Stephaun comes out and brings out the most beautiful plate of peach-topped pancakes! It was STUNNING! Even though I was getting full already, it was too good to stop eating. And Rachel comes over to check on me and asks how I've enjoyed the food so far. I tell her I was blown away, and she proceeds to show the most genuine happiness and a smile that says, "See... this is why I work here. To bring joy to others, one meal at a time." I see Chef Stephaun one more time and tell him that this is the best dining experience I've ever had. Upon entering the restaurant, a family behind us was seated before us with same number of people don't understand that . We are seated about 3 minutes later Waitress came to the table and said she will be with us in a minute. A friend raved about this chain of breakfast restaurants and said it was a favorite of his In Louisiana. We decided to stop here for breakfast on our drive to Orlando. My DD got a sweet waffle and it was delicious. Her bacon was undercooked but she was full. Ash's didn't ask for it to be replaced. Our friend got crab cakes Benedict but said they weren't as good as the ones in Louisiana. I got a chicken and gravy biscuit with grits. It was okay but huge. The grits were done well but I couldn't finish even half of them. The coffee was hot which I appreciated. Our server was very nice and attentive. It's a cute place and was comfortable. There was also an outdoor eating area. If you are on the hunt for a very filling meal to start the day this would be a good choice. read more
