I've been to Savannah three or four times now, and somehow I had never tried this place, even though it's such a staple! I'm so glad I finally got to try it on this trip. We had a group of about 14 girls on a bachelorette trip, and we showed up around 11:00 AM. There was about an hour wait, so we went and walked around for a little bit while we waited. Once we finally got seated, though, our server took care of all 14 of us SO efficiently. He was absolutely running around doing his best! Getting everyone's drinks, taking all of our food orders, and making sure everyone was taken care of. The food came out pretty quickly considering the size of our group, and he was even able to split up all of our checks for us. Overall, the service was amazing. He was great! The vibes inside were really cool, too. We were seated in a corner area where we could see people coming in and out and watch everyone walking by outside the window. There was also another bachelorette group sitting near us, so it made the whole experience even more fun. And then there was my food... SO GOOD. I got the chicken sandwich, and it was HUGE. I honestly don't even think my picture does justice to how much food comes with it. Surprisingly, the fries were really good, too. But the chicken was what really impressed me. Sometimes when you order grilled chicken, it can be super dry, but this chicken was SO tender and juicy. There wasn't a single tough or dry spot. We stopped by for brunch on a rainy Sunday afternoon. It was not very busy, probably because of the rain and probably because we came for a later brunch. I love that the menu encourages you to try duck in different ways than you may be used to. I don't typically like ordering grilled cheese out since I make a pretty good one myself at home, but the duck grilled cheese called to me. I'm glad I answered because it was delicious! It had the right combo of cheeses, and the caramelized onion gave it that little pizzazz it needed. It went great with the tomato soup. My sister's duck tacos were also very good. They do a great job of cooking the duck well, which I don't think is easy. My husband and I started with Prosecco, and I ordered the Flap Crab omelette...easily one of the best omelettes I've ever had. It was packed with crab and perfectly seasoned. We had a large group for a bachelorette trip and the Little Duck Diner took care of us for brunch! We walked in for a table and we were told there would be a 45 minute to an hour long wait but luckily it ended up being a lot faster than that! We all ordered drinks and enjoyed them. From the bubble bath drink to Pinot Grigio, they were all delish! I had the grilled cheese but added bacon and tomato and oh my it was good!! It came with fries that were so crispy and had almost like a Cajun seasoning on them which was a nice touch. I myself have been to Little Duck Diner several times. However, this was my mom and grandson's first time going. I decided on the salmon avocado salad. Which was delicious! Mom decided to go with a breakfast option. She really enjoyed it. However her favorite thing was the sweet tea. My grandson's favorite thing was getting a cup of water with a cute little duck in it. We were able to score a seating outside. It was a too beautiful of a day to sit inside. We tried the fried risotto as a starter. I have to say these were the best we have ever had. I'm gluten free and was concerned about eating them. They were so lightly breaded that it didn't bother my stomach. They were so good! Cute place and within walking distance (1 mile) from our hotel. It was on the corner of a block so we found it easily with the neons in the window. We actually tried to go Saturday but the wait was too long so we came back earlier on Sunday to get a table. If you're not going early for weekend breakfast, be prepared to wait. As one of the city's most popular breakfast spots, it was very crowded and loud in a way that I would describe as more tight and busy than lively. Little Duck Diner is such a vibe! I'm all for cute aesthetics and this place delivers on that while also serving really good food. When we walked in it was busy, but we were able to snag a high-top counter area. Shay was our server and he was attentive, friendly, and kept us taken care of the whole time. The menu had so many tempting options -- honestly, everything that came out made me want to order it. I ended up going with the Maxwell, which is a breakfast sandwich, and it was huge and absolutely delicious. The eggs were perfectly fluffy, the sandwich was stacked just right, and it really hit the spot. The grits were good (not the best I've ever had, but still enjoyable), and the pancake I tried was also very tasty. To top it off, I had the Lavender Bellini cocktail, which was not only refreshing but also came with the cutest little rubber duck floating in it. We were very excited to try this diner before we left town today. We got sat down, ordered drinks. 10 mins later my daughter ( the bride to be ) picked up her water glass and it shattered into a million pieces in her lap. Water and glass was everywhere all over her and the table. She had huge glass shards in her lap, down her shirt, and her clothes were soaked. The glass clearly had a pressure crack and shattered the second she picked it up. She had to leave the restaurant to go to the car and change her clothes. Two employees came over to clean up. SHE apologized to them about 10 times, they said sorry to her once. Never asked if she was alright even though she was picking up glass out of her lap. She was afraid to stand up in case there was glass shards on her feet because she was in sandals. I had to ask them to remake her mimosa in case there was glass in it and they never offered to just do that. After we paid our bills the mother of the groom spoke to the manager who was rude and dismissive to her when she mentioned that her could have at least come and checked on her to make sure she was alright. Nothing was offered to be compe but the bigger issues was the lack of compassion or empathy for the fact that she could have been injured. They are lucky she changed out of shorts into jeans right before going in because otherwise her legs would have gotten all cut up from the glass and then they could have had bigger issues!! Just so disgusted with how she was treated- she was mortified and embarrassed and the only people that should have been ashamed was the management for not being more concerned about her well being than wiping up the water. And maybe more care should be taken with the glassware to make sure it isn't damaged before sending to customers- we also had a wine glass at the table with a chip in it. The interior is very Instagrammable, and they serve cage-free eggs, but I was grossed out to see duck on the menu, I thought "duck" was just a cute diner name. The avocado toast with goat cheese was good. The mirrors next to the tables are handy for checking if you've got anything on your face. They charge 3% for using a credit card, which was surprising since they use Resy for reservations. Unlike other restaurants in Savannah, the server didn't swipe my card at the table with a handheld device, so I didn't feel comfortable giving him my debit card. It feels like this fee is just being passed back to customers rather than being absorbed as a normal cost of doing business. Service was unprofessional. My server Trey S. didn't remove the menu after I ordered. When my food was delivered, the woman knew it was my table (I dined alone) but still asked if it was my order - talking over my plate. Then, when the server brought the bill, it was placed on top of the menu. It felt like he wasn't paying attention to the guest experience, and I reflected that in my tip because the service left me a bit disappointed. For our first meal in Savannah (arrived late at night the previous day), we could resist the temptation of a hearty Southern breakfast. As this was located right next to the Andaz (where we were staying) this was also supremely convenient. When we arrived, there was a little bit of a wait to eat indoors, so we opted to eat in the outdoor patio. While it was quite balmy outside, we didn't mind the slight breeze we got. We ordered the following items: 1) Iced Coffee: This wasn't on the menu, but we got it iced per our request. It was a pretty good coffee (La Colombe, I think). 2) The Maxwell: This was my breakfast. This was absolutely tasty. The cheddar cheese was a great addition. I loved how the sriracha mayo complemented the caramelized onions and chives. The bun was great too. Was a tad bit oily, so I opted for the fork and knife approach, which was a smart decision. 3) The Biscuit Sandwich w/o Sausage: This was my girl's first foray into Southern food on this trip. The biscuit was amazing. Nice and fluffy. Great decision. We wrapped this all up by buying a signature duck. Couldn't say no. Came for brunch and had life changing scrambled eggs. I don't know what they do to them but they were the best scrambled eggs I've had in my life. This was a phenomenal place for a nice casual dinner with our group of friends!! It was the last day of our trip the food was SUPER delicious!!
