What a fantastic place!!! Big happy and exciting, this restaurant is a standout in the vast array of places to visit in the Savannah/Pooler area. I was lucky enough to get a spot on the deck and it's just a great atmosphere. The service people are all fantastic but what can you expect from the Georgia people. I love it down here. I had to try the chorizo poppers and I'm glad I did. What a great dish, crispy fried wonton filled with chorizo cream cheese served with a delicious sriracha honey sauce and lots of chopped bacon and green onions. I'm stealing that one to make at home. Cute Mexican spot, great curb appeal, I stopped by during the week a little after lunch time and it was slightly busy. I sat at the bar right away (I was by myself) and promptly got my drink order taken and food order filled. I got the steak elite bowl and special cucumber margarita, along with the mango habanero salsa and plantains. The drinks were really good, the whole staff had great customer service, and inside was nice and clean. The steak bowl lacked flavor, I was glad I got the habanero salsa - it made up for the lack of flavor on it and had good spice. This place gets busy! I've been on several occasions for both lunch and brunch on Sundays. My group chose to sit at the bar and our bartender was very friendly. We opted for the margarita tower on this visit and it was absolutely worth it. They have very unique tacos and a variety to choose from so if you're a fan of options, this place is for you. The music can be a bit loud but on an average night it's not to the point that you need to yell to communicate with your party. However, on a Saturday night it gets extremely LOUD. One negative is the chips and salsa are not complimentary which was a bummer. Bathrooms are spacious and clean. Staff is always friendly and this space is huge. I've enjoyed visiting Del Sur as the atmosphere here is lively, a great bright and spacious restaurant. I came for brunch this past Sunday, I ordered the french toast bites and the California Taco. I had to send the french toast bites back they were too dark and hard to even eat. The new round of french toast bites were delicious, I'm so happy I sent the old ones back. The California Taco was good as well. I enjoyed the Blueberry Buzz drink. My daughter ordered the fruity pebbles french toast along with the chicken and waffles, our friend enjoyed his shrimp and grits. Although I enjoyed brunch and my previous visits, I noticed that the servers could be more friendlier and make sure the guests they are serving is really having a good experience. Check the orders make sure food items are not burnt before bringing them to the table. Well, that's my little rant I will return because the restaurant itself along with the good food will make me return when I'm in the area, friendlier service is always appreciated even when the server isn't having the best day. My sister brought me here as this is her go to bar for brunch. The drinks were good I got the mimosa flight the different juices were mixed with a premade orange juice and champagne mix that I nixed when I decided I wanted to do a full sized pomegranate mimosa because I am not a fan of orange juice. So if you're like me ask for the flavor options with just champagne. I also tried the Christmas in Cabo holiday drink and it was good very very creamy. For brunch I ordered the shrimp and grits and it was highly recommended by the bartender but once I tasted it I was a tad disappointed. It lacked season the flavor punch came from the sausage. The sauce has potential but needs more salt and a few other recipe tweaks I suggested to my sister but I know they're catering to a wider customer net and not just my taste buds. The grits tasted like instant grits and were watery and clumpy not a smooth bowl of grits you'd expect. It was filling though just lacked seasoning outside of the sausage that's included. Maybe add more sausage to it. Would I come back? Yes, but I would definitely order different or just come for drinks. Also marketing wise they've gotta do something to up their presence on social media because the space is nice but for the time I came on a good brunch Sunday it was quite empty and I was told a DJ would be in at noon. It was lunchtime and most customers were out at patio and only 2 tables seemed occupued indoor. We chose the quiet indoor. The hostess was not very welcoming. The waitress came and gave us the menu without mentioning any lunch specials. When she asked for our drinks, we gave our orders for "mixed fajitas". We were disappointed. It was mostly chicken chopped (75%) on top of smaller amounts (25%) of chopped beef and shrimp. The accompanying veges and guac were nicely proportioned. Overall, the meat was not seasoned properly. Del Sur is located in Pooler in a newer shopping center behind the CVS which has a selection of restaurant, hair salons, and cafés. Parking can be very difficult if you're trying to eat here during lunch or dinner. So come early or later. Del Sur is located on the end which has a side deck for outside seating and overlooks a small man made pond. The inside has tall ceiling but can be loud since it's mainly a large open space with metal seating and stone floors. It has a modern trendy vibe but that's the only thing it has going for it. Their website states it's a "Southern take on non-traditional Tex-Mex cuisine" which I've come to learn means nothing is made fresh and it was bland. The rice tasted like it was instant, the soft corn shells were hard like they had left the bag open. I ordered the shrimp fajitas and I was expecting them to come out hot like in a Mexican restaurant but instead there was no sizzle and pop, but cold shrimp in a tiny iron skillet. I stated as much to the wait staff and she must hear it a lot because she wasn't even fazed. She just stated that they wait until everyone food is ready to bring out... which doesn't explain the cold not even lukewarm shrimp. I ordered 1 of their single street tacos as a app. Pulled Pork $4.75 Smoked pork, cabbage slaw, pineapple relish & golden bbq sauce Again... the soft corn shell was hard... the meat was cold, there was no bbq in sight and when I brought it to the waitress attention her response was. "I can let the manager know" but we never heard anything on it again. The restaurant was practically empty for 7 PM on a Saturday. It was our first time visiting and this restaurant is different than your traditional Mexican restaurant. The food was excellent and I am a picky eater and they were very accommodating. The service was excellent our waitress was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable of the menu and gave excellent service and advice on what we might want. The atmosphere is relaxing when we went but there is trivia on Wednesday and as we were about to leave we could tell the atmosphere was getting a little more festive. Del Sur is a trendy Mexican fusion restaurant in a fairly newly built dinning center in Pooler. They have a nice looking outdoor area as well as a casual-upscale indoor area. The service was great and our server really seemed to know the menu. She also took care to pre-bus our table. Del Sur's offering were great! The Queso was creamy and flavorful. I also recommend the booyah shrimp which was both sweet and heat but not too spicy at all. Of the three tacos I ordered Philly cheesesteak, stir fry, and Hawaiian the stir fry was my favorite. No flavor in any of the meal. You can tell when a cook is just putting things together, as opposed to a cook whipping up a tasty meal because their heart is in it. This wasn't it at all!! Now the highlight of my meal was the chicken and waffle taco. I was pleasantly surprised on the whole concoction put together. A nice size chicken tender, nestled in a soft Belgium waffle, with a honey whipped cream and topped with pecans.......Simply a masterpiece!! There was flavor in every part of the creation. We had to wait 15 minutes for our table (awww), so we had cocktails at the bar, including the jalapeño margaritas, delicious. Once on the patio, Charles gave us great service. We enjoyed the chips, salsa, and queso. Love the way you can build your meal with individual tacos. Two is good, and three are very filling. We recommend them all so far. I have to start by highlighting our PHENOMENAL server, Charles! Seriously top notch service for our entire meal. I met a friend at Del Sur that I haven't seen in a while, which means we parked ourself at Charles' table for hours. The outdoor patio (with heaters) is awesome, especially as we're beginning to get a taste of fall. The patio is a decent size with tables for dining, couches by fire pits if you're just grabbing cocktails, and a full outdoor bar! They have a limited beer list, but a little of everything. Their cocktail list is pretty extensive. The food is alright - I've been to Del Sur multiple times and honestly I come for the ambience, drinks and chips & salsa (not included like they are at other similar restaurants).
