Only been here twice but both times they were packed! So it's probably in your best interest to make a reservation before coming here, especially on a busy day. Both times I visited the service was great, very fast and no mistakes made despite me always having to leave something off my meal lol. The queso here unfortunately isn't great, taste like something you would buy at Walmart. Cheap and not authentic. The chips atleast are good thanks to the seasoning they sprinkle on them. Unfortunately they charge you for chips and salsa and that's always a thumbs down in my book. Tried 5 different tacos and 2 of them tasted good, the others I wouldn't get again. Each taco didn't have enough meat in it for the price they charge in my opinion. The margaritas are decent, just a little overpriced. Overall this place is ok but I doubt I'll be back here unless I get invited by friends. read more

Great service and nice spot. there's an option for outside seating as well but inside is really a nice ambience, clean, and aesthetically pleasing. Had an amazing evening celebrating my anniversary with my hubby. The restaurant was pretty busy but we were seated immediately, and the waitress was quick to bring us our drinks. We ordered the Queso Fundido to start and the flavors were amazing, it came with plenty of warm chips that were seasoned with something that had a hint of sweet to it, but oddly enough it meshed with the flavors of the dip perfectly. My husband ordered the poke bowl and I ordered the Baja bowl with chicken. Both dishes were very good. The restaurant itself has a fairly trendy vibe to it, and it is perfect for families, big groups or even for more of an intimate setting like my husband and I were aiming for. Being July we opted to eat inside, but we will be back to enjoy the outdoor patio once the weather cools off a bit so we can explore some of the other menu options. read more

Might be good if you've never tasted Mexican food or hate the thought of it. It wasn't fresh, or flavorful, or even served with a smile. My husband had the mixed fajitas: looked like a child's portion and the shrimp tasted like food poisoning. I had three tacos, and each was more bland than the next. There's indoor and outdoor seating available with with a contemporary style ambience. Minimal to average noise level on a weekday night. Welcoming staff: Our server, Abby, gave great recommendations and was super helpful. She recommended the Spicy Pinarita so we all ordered on. It was the highlight of the night!! And it complimented my Barbacoa taco perfectly! I could've gone without the $4 sweet plantains but the Stir Fry taco was very good (4 out of 5 for me). The Caribbean Horchata was ok but I wouldn't recommend it if you're ordering food. It's very sweet and best to have by itself or with dessert in my opinion. read more

Con: After being told there would be a 45 minute wait for a table, it actually ended up being an hour and 15 minutes, Con: we had a party of five and every person's food came out cold. This is likely to become one of the newest hotspots within the Pooler area. They are just opening and luckily they were kind enough to allow me to dine as a walk-in when they were having their friends and family soft opening. I will say, I'm going back because their staff and their food are one to enjoy. Since it was a soft opening they were and are still working out the kinks of the business but that is definitely not a detractor from your going there. They do have special drinks but in all honesty their taco menu is beyond substantial. I want to go back and try every taco they have. They look that good and the two I had were beyond tasty. The staff is attentive and engaging. The location is great as it sits on a pond so their outside seating has a nice view and the interior is very modern and upbeat. I am looking forward to them getting the kinks out so that I can come back again and try and raise my review to five stars which I think is very likely. Service was great and the drinks were good but the food was pretty bland. I wouldn't call it Mexican food... I got the Baja bowl with chimi steak. It looked pretty sad. No flavor and hardly any steak. Rice and beans look like they dumped it right out of a can. Zero seasoning. Somehow the chips that looked like they were saturated in seasoning were still bland. The Oreo fried ice cream was actually pretty good though. Wouldn't come again for food but would stop for a drink at the bar. read more

A 3% convenience fee for using my credit card? Really? I am 99% certain that the restaurant's fee for a credit card transaction is not 3%, so I can only assume that Del Sur uses this as an excuse to squeeze a little more cash out of every customer, except maybe for those rare few who use cash. Incidentally, when I asked for a copy of my check, the server did not bring me a paper copy, but only showed me an electronic one which ALREADY had the credit card fee added, before she even knew whether I'd be paying with cash or credit. read more

Loaded fries gets an A+. So delicious. A restaurant I will never eat inside unless friends or family prefer. I personally can't stand yelling in order to communicate with the person I am sitting with. They blast the music SO loud. I'm too old for all that. Really was excited about this place coming in. Sad to say it was a disappointment. Drinks are ok. They are craft cocktails and priced accordingly. Nothing really to mention past that. Now to the food. No chips and salsa provided. You can order some and it comes in a very limited quantity. And I mean you get a small dish of salsa or queso and about 12 chips. I would guess the large order would come with about 24 chips. Really strange and expensive for what you get. Now on to my biggest issue. Their tacos seemed to have good flavor but they are served in store bought tortillas. Mind you these are priced at $4-$5 a piece. There is no excuse for not making tortillas in house at this price point. We both just felt that we could've gone to jalapeños for half the price and left much happier. We will probably give another try in the future to see if any of their issues get resolved. read more

Had several friends tell me how great the one in Statesboro is. I was so excited when this one in Pooler finally opened and it didn't disappoint. We ate at Del Sur in Pooler on July 29, 2022. It was mediocre. I had the Chimi Taco. That was pretty good. But the Hawaiian Chicken Taco was literally gross. It tasted like tuna salad. (The server did get that charged taken off our bill.) My husband had the Deluxe Steak which he liked. He also ordered a side of rice and beans which was like high school cafeteria food, like they just poured a can of beans on top of some Uncle Ben's. And I wish I would have looked at the receipt closer. They charged us $4.25 for salsa and there's a charge for Chicken Tortilla Soup that we never ordered and was never served to us. When you walk in it seems like a happening place. But the food is NOT good and don't trust them to get your charges correct. read more
