Haven't been here before decided to stop here for dinner. I ordered the Carne Asada tacos and my friend Adam ordered a burrito. He is currently drinking an IPA and I ordered a jalapeño margarita. We were in the area and all we know is that it had chips and salsa so that was obviously a hard selling point. Our server is very nice and also very attentive. The inside is a little bit smaller, but it has the padded cushion seats along in the back with a very cute sign and it is open until 10 PM. read more

Jalapeños is a well known Mexican restaurant here in Savannah. It has many locations. This particular location is on Broughton Street. It is close to Kayak Kafe. When entering the door you will see the bar on your left. There are many seats. If you would like to grab a drink to go or sit there. The restaurant has plenty of tables, chairs, and some banquettes too. It was just the two of us, my friend and I we came around four o'clock for an early dinner. You have to wait to be seated. It was a while until we were acknowledged. It was not busy. We waited over 5 minutes just the two of us to be seated. The restaurant was basically empty only the bar had a few people at it. Once we were seated our server was efficient and quick. He took our drink orders and brought our chips and salsa immediately. Our food came out swiftly. I enjoyed my chorizo tacos. They were excellent. read more

The food was terrible. I hated the chili topping on my enchiladas. The meat was not real. The breakfast burrito had maybe 1 egg and a spoonful of meat. The rest was beans. The waiter set the plate down and said it was a hot plate be careful. I barely touched to scoot the plate over and it almost brought a blister to my hands. It was way past hot. read more

Just stopped in for drinks. The craft cocktails were absolutely spectacular. Thank you Benjamin.

The food was tasty and reasonably priced. We sat down, order drinks and food. Then within five minutes(seriously...five) our food came out! Very quick service. Staff were friendly and the restaurant was clean. read more

Hey, you're eating on the sidewalk in downtown Savannah. Pretty, darn, cool. Yes, solid menu, drink, and food options. All the traditional Mexican favorites you'd expect from a "chainy" restaurant. Service was attentive, warm, and flexible. Guac was freshly prepared and had mad flavor. We tried the Ultra Molcajete (steak, chicken, shrimp, and some other faves) and loved it. Seriously, the (leftover) broth was delicious and really brought all the ingredients together. Solid downtown option for a group who needs a bite but wants to keep drinking. read more

Great hospitality and food! Also love the atmosphere and prices, such a good break from the other restaurants around here

Hooray, no wait. This downtown Jalapeños location did not disappoint. This is a local restaurant that has done well and has location throughout Savannah and neighboring communities. Our waitress was efficient, and the bar and kitchen quick to respond to our orders. We were rather a picky group with "no this" and "add that", and our orders were all correct and hot. I enjoyed my order of Arroz Texano, and it was exactly as requested - without rice. Thank you! Our beer was served with cold glassware and the Margaritas were delish, too. read more

At the Jalapeños on Whitemarsh Island, food was served lukewarm, even after we waited to have it reheated.

Ah-may-zing! First! The staff are super adorable and amazing! Strawberry margarita; amazing! Nachos: incredible. Fresh ingredients, including the chips and especially, the refried beans, totally not salty. TV screens for the sports enthusiasts. Wonderful music and ambience! read more

The food was delicious, the frozen margarita was strong, the price was reasonable, and our waitress Nicole was phenomenal. We didn't wait to be seated, and it was really cozy inside. We had a great time! read more

Absolutely the worst service. Refused service b/c we wanted to split the check. They simply couldn't figure out how to serve a large group with more than 1 check. Rediculous and disrespectful read more

I came here with coworkers for lunch and it was pretty empty which was surprising seeing as it was a Friday afternoon. We were seated immediately by the host. Our waiter came over a few minutes later and asked for our drink order. Unfortunately, since it was still a work day we all settled for water. While we browsed they menu another lady came over with chips & salsa. A basket of chips and less than half a bowl of salsa. Simply looking at the amount of chips & salsa one could tell that these two were not equivalent. The chips were also slightly stale. I decided on the avocado chicken wrap with grilled chicken instead of fried. It was delicious. Perfect cooked. However, my side order of rice was dry & cold. Really disgusting & disappointing. Between the stale chips, cold rice, and slightly higher prices than every other jalapeños I've been to I will not be returning. The wrap was great but overall my experience was a definite 2 out of 5. read more

The food here is not the best compared to other Mexican chains and restaurants I've been to. They do have many vegetarian and vegan options though, including vegetarian beans and rice. We got the black bean burrito, cheese enchiladas and a lunch plate. Their guac was not fresh at all. read more

Not real impressed unfortunately. My husband disliked his meal and the waitress offered to take it off the bill, since he hardly ate any. He declined, trying not to be rude. But honestly she should have taken it off. The atmosphere was loud. The table was disgustingly sticky. We had a larger group but they made no attempt to accommodate us by putting tables together, even though they had the empty tables to be able to do it. Instead they sat 1/2 of us at a tall tabletop and the 1/2 at a short table with our backs to each other. There's so many better places to go. I can't recommend this establishment. read more

This is only a review for the drinks, specifically the Margaritas. The advertisement outside claims to have the best Margaritas. Let me tell you, it's a Lie. The Margaritas are straight from a machine, not bartender made. They simply put flavor on top. If you like tasteless, water downed, weak drinks then it's your place. But if you prefer not to pay for flavored water the keep moving or orde a beer. Don't let their claim to fame, Voted Savannah best Margaritas get you in the door. Savannah lied, it was wayyyy below average. The positive is the bartender was nice but maybe teach him to mix a drink. read more

Service was quick, food was fresh, drinks were good, social distancing between tables were made, masks were worn, and they had outdoor seating. They had all the things that we required in order for us to feel safe as we are slowly now going to restaurants and really only doing it because we are vacation. Complimentary chips and salsa were immediately brought out within minutes of us sitting down which was great because we were hungry and our feet were tired from walking all over the city. We ordered a shrimp ceviche, fish ceviche, and queso dip. Our food came out within 10 minutes. On the warm day we visited, the cool ceviches, cold mojito and cold jalepeno margarita were welcomed. Both ceviches tasted fresh and were served with diced avocado and tostadas on the side. The queso although thin and soupy looking at first actually tasty really delicious. All in all, I was happy with our choice to eat here on a whim without previously looking up any Yelp reviews. read more

Aight so I'm back on da mic bc shee man I think my lat one got removed so imma keep dis brief and imma be real. I went in already sad bc I couldn't go to dat monk and or flock. I get seated and take a peak at the menu. Nothing peaked my eye. But my dismay I order da deem chicken enchilada. And lemme just say. Trash, like it wasn't good and my buds agree. we all got the most dry bland tasting bih like in dat bih. I left hungry I left sad I didn't leave glad. And in edition to all this the plate had formed gunk to it like they don't be washing them or sum. It was crusted up and smelly and I was able to scrape it off a lil like plaque. We're traveling this weekend for cheer competition this weekend in Savannah GA and this restaurant was our first stop for dinner. The place is busy and loud. Our waitress was extremely nice and was very attentive to requests or questions we had. The kids meals were a good size and they enjoyed their meals. I ordered the Tex Mex Nachos and my girlfriend ordered the Supreme Nachos. Everything we ordered was delicious and we enjoyed our dinner. One of our kids asked for extra rice instead of the beans and it came with the same amount has her siblings rice and bean portion. The waitress corrected it but charged us extra for the rice. It wasn't worth complaining about so we paid the bill. read more

My husband I checked out Jalapeños after a recommendation from a local. We were definitely satisfied with our meals! I had the Chile Colorado and my husband had the Faquitas Oaxaca! Service was great, and Giovanna was our server! She answered any question that we had ! Very pleasant and friendly young lady! It was easy to feel comfortable in this restaurant! Families and groups of people were around us! We would come back here again, on a trip to Savannah!! I can't believe that I forgot to take pics of the meals!!! read more

We stopped off for some delicious Texas Margaritas while waiting for our show to start at the Lucas Theater. While we can't speak to the food, the 27 oz drinks were reasonably priced and went well with the complementary chips and salsa. Patricia, our server, was delightful, and sitting out front and people-watch was pleasant. Oddly, with Savannah being the town it is, even having been there only a few days, we recognized several people we knew. read more

Unfortunately this is the worst Mexican food I have ever had. I ordered fish tacos and they were oily & tasted so old they were not edible. The salad on top also tasted old. The guacamole lacked flavor & was very overpriced. To add to the terrible food experience the service was also subpar. Do not eat here if you want to experience a delicious meal and good service. read more

We ate here on a Saturday and they weren't very busy, probably because of Broughton St. being completely closed for construction. Our waiter was very attentive and the restrooms were very clean (they have paper towels, thumbs up). The chips were fresh and the salsa was a little on the spicy side, but not hot. We ordered guacamole to go with our chips and it was very tasty and the onions were not overwhelming. We ordered a Chimichanga entree and the Molcajete (chicken, shrimp and beef in a tomato based sauce, see photo). Both entrees arrived quickly and were very hot. The entrees also included guacamole, which is always a nice touch. The sweet tea was very sweet, dare I say, too sweet for some patrons. All in all a good experience, tasty food at a good price. Just a reminder, the street in front is closed and there's a fence down both sides that encroaches onto the sidewalk, be careful! read more

I have reached out to this restaurant multiple times on the issue that happened on May 5 and no has reached back out at all. I have emailed them in both English and Spanish, I have tagged the owner on social media and called the corporate number with no resolve. If you guys to this location to eat and have any issues the manager Fernando will not hear you out and they offer no resolution to a disagreement you may have. Please find another place that is not family owned and go someplace where whatever you issue is it will be handled in an efficient and respectable manner. read more
