My opinion of the food still hasn't changed very much. It's decent Mexican food. Actually like the chips and salsa. And that's why when we ordered takeout last night I asked for an extra bag of chips and salsa as I was picking the order up. But they said they have to charge me extra for one more bag of chips and salsa. When you're ordering over $105 in food, you ought to give the customer an extra bag of chips and salsa. Excellent dinner at Tequila's Town this evening! We had a large party. They sat us quickly and the server wasn't phased one bit by our size. He quickly grabbed our drink order. The chips and salsa arrived, I love how every person gets their own salsa bowl. No need to be grossed out by the double dippers in your group! We ordered a few dips-- queso, guac, chorizo-- and everything arrived quickly. Once the entree order was taken it felt like the food was delivered to our table within minutes! And the restaurant was busy! The food tasted delicious and was prepared perfectly. Even my picky eater nephews devoured their grilled chicken tacos. 5 star service! read more

Service was quick and the menu has a wide variety of dishes available! Good little lunch spot in the sandfly area. The drinks were good, but my spicy margarita had way too many jalapeño seeds and wasn't spicy. It was like the regular house margarita with a few slices of jalapeño in it. read more

This was my first visit to this location (I frequent the other two locations all the time). As with the other two, this one is a little different. It's in a shopping strip mall so there is plenty of parking. And the restaurant itself, is so big. It has a small Outside setting area as well. The layout of the inside makes it a little dark if you are seated towards the back of the restaurant. Maybe they wanted to have lots of booths instead of tables? The margarita menu is smaller than the other restaurants. There wasn't a Texas style one. I ordered the perfect margarita and it was pretty good once I added a little lime juice. They give everyone their own salsa which I love! We ordered queso , their version of street corn and guacamole table side. They are actually making it table side which is nice! I ordered the vegan, veggie burrito. It was very good. It tastes like a fajita in a wrap. My daughter ordered a black bean taco salad, which she loved. Two Thumbs & 2 Big Toes Up to Tequila's Town! After riding around for 45 minutes trying to get a bite to eat without having to wait for over an hour, we ended up at Tequila's town. The hostess was very friendly and seated us promptly. Our waiter Kaylan was amazing! I had a few questions about a few items on the menu and he was able to answer my questions and when I told him about my tomato allergy he made sure to let me know the items I selected did not have tomatoes in them. The Sweet tea was amazing! Our food was hot and very tasty! The food portion was more than enough and the prices are reasonable. We both had to go boxes. And yes, sweet tea to go! The employees were eating tacos from another restaurant. I tried to order the same but was told they brought them for another place. Got the steak tacos and tequila cheesesteak. The steak was too salty, dry and chewy. The waitress was un-attentive. It'd rather have gone to Taco Bell. read more

This place is not Black American friendly. I was dining with a friend to celebrate his birthday. At some point, a group of employees came over to our table to sing the happy birthday song. By the end of the song, one of the employee bellowed out a racial slur in Spanish. My friend who is extremely fluent in Spanish complained to the manager on duty. The manager insulted us again by offering us a free beverage . Of course, we demanded more. Two thumbs down, I don't recommend this restaurant. Btw, the food was tasteless and dry. Let me just tell you how much I love this place. Everything I've tried there has been fantastic. The service is always great. The prices are reasonable. The frozen margaritas have a serious KICK. My husband and I love coming here. My favorite dishes are the pollo rustico (not pictured), the table side guac (not pictured), the fajita taco salad (pictured), and their nachos. Tequila's Town is a tongue twister and because I'm maybe a creature of social media, I elocuted Tila Tequila's Town a few times which made me smile, mainly for the alliterative value, but also for idle speculation into what that town might look like. Like a WestWorld of drunken Instagram celebrities from 10 years ago? Yeah, don't Google Tila Tequila either. The real tequila's town is in Morelia, Michoacan which is one of only 5 states in Mexico allowed to distill tequila and still have it called tequila. I'm not sure what happens if somewhere else in Mexico except those 5 regions distills agave plants into tequilaI. Is there a Tequila Police? I'm not sure I can imagine a worse fate than being arrested by Mexico's Tequila Squad. The Agave Assassins. I'm sure everyone on the Tequila Regulatory Council is armed. Somehow I know that over 2 million agave plants are cultivated every year in Michoacan. Shots, shots, shots! But only the Tila Tequila-est do shots at 11:30 am for lunch. We settled for the Table Side Guacamole which was whipped up by a pleasant avocado wrangler who smiled a lot while pounding the crap out of a couple of avocados. I've been around women like that before. Smile while ripping you to shreds. I bet no-one ever not likes the Table Side Guac. This town has eschewed the communal salsa bowl for smaller, individual salsa bowls. Less gunfights that way I guess. I mean, if it were queso, I would throw down for my share. I ordered the Burritos Dos Amores--one chicken, one beef and the beef wasn't the usual ground beef but shredded. Kind of the difference between Jose Cuervo and Patron Silver. I liked the menu--more that I will need to explore. I liked the Tshirts. Tequila Loves Me. I might even could be cajoled into buying a molcajete bowl for $15--to drink my tequila from. There are a fair amount of solid Mexican restaurants in Savannah, and Tequila Town can count among the bunch. This location is tucked away in a plaza and is always busy the two times I've been there. Seating is never a problem, and the waiters are always very quick and efficient. Food also comes out really quickly despite how crowded it is. The prices are reasonable I think for a sit down Mexican place, I paid 12$ for fajitas one time and another time got this bowl of rice and meat, about 11$. The portion sizes are large too, so you'll end up full. The chips and salsa are unlimited and free, and addicting. Careful, you'll fill up quick. If you order guacamole, they make it fresh besides the table, and it tastes really good, do try it. The food in general is tasty and matches my expectations for the price - it isn't amazing but it is pretty solid. Overall, a good experience, one that I like coming back to. read more

I'm so happy I picked this place. I'm new to town and going out to eat alone can be daunting, but not here. I bellied up to the bar and was greeted by 2 different servers/barkeep that chatted and checked on me often. They talked with me about the art on the walls and the cute neighborhood. I then ordered the table side quac made exactly how I like, no onions and spicey. Delicious and fresh. That could've been my entire meal. But I was hungry and needed the sopes too, made with beans so they were vegetarian. Homemade ya'll. Chewy and delicious corn cakes. When I arrived to pick up in the downtown location, they had it set up where people were spread apart evenly and waiters were wearing masks and gloves. This is the kind of place you need to know what to order. Examples: Yes to the molcajete (although it can be salty), table side guacamole, tacos, chile verde, chile relleno, Paloma and skinny girl marg. No to the regular margarita (way too much sweet and sour), gringo quesadilla (sloppy mess lacking flavor), regular guacamole (watery) , sopes (dense and not cooked properly) and plantano macho (dry tostones). Clearly you can see I have gone back multiple times... it is worth it if you know what to get. Warning: the salsa has some heat, so if your sensitive to spicy watch out. The chips are perfectly thick and crunchy- just made for dipping. Also of note, this place is usually pretty busy and service is definitely impacted by that. The atmosphere itself is loud and bustling. Something that kind of irked me was the fact that they will not serve pictchers of margaritas "because of COVID" but the chips are also a shareable plate and the staff doesn't wear masks. We were pretty excited to try this out today but it was just really disappointing. Our server only came to our table to take our order, drop the food off, and one refill on drinks. I asked him for something and he never brought it out to me. I ordered steak tacos and the steak was so tough that it was hard to chew. The meat was cold. My sons chicken strips were hard so he wouldn't eat them. So it definitely wasn't worth the money we spent. read more

It's fresh and made right by the table and you are able to choose how you want it prepared and for that reason the price is 10$. It's worth it and it's typically filled to the top. Love this location. Larger space with more seating than downtown, which makes for a more relaxed dining experience. They bring you warm tortilla chips with individual salsa cups as soon as you sit. If you like Guacamole, you have to get their Table-side Guac which is as much fun to watch it being made as it is tasty. The menu is packed with a varied selection of deliciousness. I've worked through a lot of the menu and the only thing I'm not a fan of so far is the Elotes, which was missing half the listed ingredients. But to be fair I had it when they first opened this location so maybe I should give it another try. Everything else is pretty good. Fajitas, chimichangas, tacos, and more. The shrimp and steak options are my favs. Others in my group prefer their chicken and vegetarian options. They have options for us all. Their beans and rice are good too. The ingredients in all the dishes are always fresh. This location has a separate bar area with comfy seating and TVs. The drinks are always great. I find myself lingering longer and buying more at this location. Its a great spot for families, girls or guys night out, a quick meal or a relaxing meal with drinks.
