The entire vibe of this place is bad and weird. I've gone to several cat cafés around the world and this was not good. I would NOT recommend. There was no warmth to the inside design. It felt like I was in an animal shelter with a couple pieces of cheap wall art up. The "café" portion is completely disconnected from the cats. It's not a wine bar or coffee shop vibe at all. The coffee drinks come from a Keurig pod There were at most six cats. If you don't pay extra to buy their toys and treats, the cats won't interact with you. Also, the music was simply depressing. I love Lana Del Rey, but her music is kind of sleepy for this activity. To me this is just a tourist trap scam for those (including myself) who do you like cats. Avoid. My husband and I were in town for our anniversary and we walked past this place - and I HAD to go there! Come to find out that you need to book a reservation to get in because everyone else wants to too! It's not hard to believe - you can go in and play with kittens for an hour???? SIGN THIS CAT MAMA UP! They team up with the local humane society and have kittens on site to be played with and hopefully adopted! We don't live in the area, and also already have two cats at home - so we just wanted to support and PLAY! The cat cafe itself was so cute and you can tell that the cats were so well taken care of and spoiled! The room with the kittens was FILLED with fun toys and towers and shelves - it was the perfect cat room!! I fell in love with all the kitties and really enjoyed just playing with them! My GF and I had a fantastic time at pounce cat cafe. This "cafe" is a great spot to go to if you're looking to plan a date or just love cats in general. I put cafe in quotations as this isn't really a traditional cafe which is not much of a big deal as some might make it as. Regardless I thought the coffee was decent but the hot chocolate was just your typical hot water with a packet of chocolate. We heard about the Pounce Cat Café while on our Savannah Trolley Tour and decided to go since my teenager loves cats and has been begging for one for years. Pounce did not disappoint! We ordered our tickets online and the purchase process is straightforward. You choose your date, time and how many people and pay online - no surprises there. When you sign up online, you also have to fill in waivers for yourself and any minors you're bringing with you. The snacks are underwhelming (which is the reason for the 4 stars). I ordered a pastry, which was OK - it was a hard, too sweet and overall meh. I could only eat half of it and threw the rest away. If you opt for a tea or hot chocolate, you will have to get it yourself from a table that reminds me of a hotel meeting room lobby. Again... meh. Now for the great part. The cats. The cat room itself is gorgeous. There were about 8-12 cats when we went, there are enough chairs for all of the people who signed up for our time slot to move around and play with cats. Some cats are sleeping, others are lying around, others are playing with toys. There's a cat for everyone, really. And they are all adorable. When I sat down with my teen daughters, we caught the attention of a 5 month old cat who was attracted to my unfinished pastry. The cat jumped on our laps and let my daughter pet it. She was in heaven. We took selfies with the cats, read cute cat books and had full on kitty photoshoots with others. It was a dream and the time flew by. Minor details: Bathrooms are clean, staff is super nice and the rules are clear. Overall, go for the cats... don't expect a Starbucks-level experience out of the café. The cats are the stars and oh-my-goodness it's so worth the price of admission with that experience alone. read more

Save the cats!!! Seriously, all of the cats here are for adoption through the Savannah Humane Society! What a cool concept to make a cat cafe, similar to what you can experience in Japan. They have a wine bar there and your reservation includes 1 non-alcoholic drink. You can upgrade for a beer or wine. Reservations are highly recommended, especially on weekends and they do get fully booked. It's $15 per person, per hour. You get to play with all of the cats! And maybe I leaven find a little companion to take home! The have some pretty great gift shop items! From underwear to liquid catnip. You can hang out with the cats for $10 for 30 minutes, but they also have an option for longer that includes drinks. I counted at least 14 cats. They are very friendly. You are able to adopt them as well. They sell catnip for use during your visit with the cats. Due to COVID, their menu is limited to just drinks. You have to make reservations online to be guaranteed a visit, they are no required but it definitely helps to save your spot. It's $15 per person for a full hour and you get a choice of coffee, tea, lemonade, and soda. Beer or wine is an extra $3. They have a cute photo op wall before entering the cat area. The place was clean, and didn't smell like a little box. Super cute furniture and decor and almost no hair from the cats ( yay! ) They have plenty toys for the kittens AND cats to use and play with. I will say though, I think they would be a little more cautious of the cats. There was one cat in particular ( he/she ) was shaven on the side so I figured that may be the cause for being feisty, so I left it alone. In search of coffee we found coffee AND kitties! We made reservations for 11, when they opened, which turned out well because the cats were awake and playful. Reservations included a coffee or tea, fully customizable to your taste. This cafe is a great place to chill out, support a great cause and pet a variety of cats. The cats all have collars with a tag showing name, gender and approximate age. The cats were all well behaved with the hoomans and each other. It was a wonderful way to spend an hour - the staff did give us a 5 minute warning in fairness to the next set of reservations. The inside is so cutely decorated and has so many spots to interact with and watch the cats. We were lucky to go on a day when the cats weren't too sleepy, so it was a ton of fun playing with them and getting to know their cute personalities! The cafe offers a good selection of complimentary teas, juice, coffee, and hot chocolate that you can sip on during your appointment which was such a fun plus! We opted for apple cider which made the visit so cozy and relaxing. I adopted my sweet kitty (Tila) from there this past week and not only did I get to spend an hour with a bunch of cats with different personalities, I got time to connect with them all and see which was the perfect fit for me and had the temperament I was looking for. The cats are all up for adoption and they have had over 1000 adoptions. There is another location in Charleston. I am allergic to cats so I didn't stay long. Last night I walked by this place after hours and saw so many happy cats curled up in this cafe, I just knew I had to come back when they opened. All the cats inside are from the humane society and are looking for their forever home. This amazing cafe averages 2 adoptions a day- how awesome is that?!?! It's such a relaxing and clean atmosphere, which makes it so enjoyable to meet these curious kitties. For a $15 donation you get a complimentary drink (cold brew coffee is so delicious! They have beer & wine too) and entrance into the kitty cafe. I was there around 1pm, some cats were very active and playful, while others were enjoying an afternoon nap. I think there was 20-30 cats! Cat lover? Coffee lover? in need of an instant Serotonin boost? Then Pounce Cat Cafe is your place! I was in Savannah for a conference and saw this place and had to stop by. I made a reservation on their easy to use online reservation system. Each reservation is an hour long. They do accept walk ins, but on busier days like the weekend, reservations are highly encouraged. During my visit, there were about 10 cats there all ranging from age 7 months to 7 years. The cafe part is separated from the cat part and the entire place was so clean, smelt great, and designed so nicely for cats. It makes my heart happy to know that these cats get to run around freely and rest on comfy seats as they wait to get adopted. Yes, you read that right! All of their cats are adoptable, so this is the perfect opportunity to spend some time seeing what cat's personality would be a good fit for your home. One of the things that I thought was really cool was that all of their litter boxes are disguised as other pieces of furniture or design. They are either located in what looks like planters or inside of cute benches. If you are an animal lover, you need to pay this place a visit! Came here yesterday with a friend and the cat cafe is a cute concept. The proceeds go towards the human society and you get an hour to play with cats and kittens that are up for adoption. I didn't get a treat bag but I would recommend getting one for a more intimate experience. The cats and kittens were mostly playful and receptive to the visitors.
