We ate here today and on on our last trip to Memphis. I cannot say enough great things about the staff at this location! Our server, Shawn, was awesome as was the rest of the staff and the manager. The food was terrific as well. We utilized the Nowait app for immediate service when we entered the restaurant. The food was fast and really, really great. Came in today around 11 of course they are busy and had to wait on table no biggie. But we waited about 5-7 minutes for a server to come greet us he was nice, or whatever he took our order (at the same time of greeting) We order the Strawberry St. Germain Mimosas which was good but there we lip stain on the glass and I had to wipe it off. Then our food come everything was fresh and hot. But during this time our server (West) has not came back to check on us which is cool again no biggie, I had asked everyone else around for things, even to order oatmeal but near the end of our meal guess who we finally get to see our server. He dropped the check and I handed him my money instantly (I didn't want to wait any longer for him) he left (he did not pre-buss the table somebody else did) them came back (5 minutes) to say oh you needed change uh yes sir I did. Surprisingly delicious. With so many great independent restaurants in town, we were hesitant to give this chain a try. We feared it was just another "Perkins" or "IHOP" establishment and we couldn't have been more wrong. We were greeted very courteously and seated quickly. All of the staff members were SO polite. I visited this establishment on April 22 for my daughter's birthday. The food was very good but the service was horrible. There were 5 adults and 3 children in our party. We waited over 20 minutes for a table. I had to ask 3 separate times for my drink. It took over 45 minutes for our food to arrive and we were missing items. This has been by far my best experience at any restraint! The establishment is nice and clean. When I approached the door there was someone there to hold it open. There is not a review low enough to give this place. No clean glasses so the drinks were served in Styrofoam cups. Food was almost an hour and a half getting to us. Second attempt.....I love the food, but not 5he wait time and how it is managed. We used the check in online option when it was offered before yelp...since Yelp the check in online is not accurate with wait time. The first time we waited an additional 40 min (on top of what the app said) for a table. Decided to try again today. I understand that with new guidelines for restaurants that the wait time will be longer. Went into to the app to check wait time and check in online. The time was 35 to 50 mins. Checked in by the time is was supposed to ( 45 mins..coming from Arlington). Asked how long the wait was going to be. was told another 45 mins. I asked why you are not honoring the wait time on the app, and was told that the time didn't matter, and was wrong. My wait time started from the time I arrive and check in. So whats the purpose of checking in online? Will definitely find another place for breakfast/brunch. App was much better when is was just wait list. Wait times seemed to honored. read more

Why did I wait 55 minutes to eat unsalted, seasonless grits and two crab cakes with almost no crab in them? Good question! I would prefer to call them breadcrumb cakes with bell peppers and a hint of crab. They were also not served warm. Beignets were good as was the coffee. Chiaquiles used incorrect and non crispy flour tortillas. Had they been proper chips as chiaquiles calls for, the taste would haven been pretty good. read more

I wish I could give no stars!!! My family and I had the worse service, that I've ever had in my life. We ate here the day after Christmas and waited an hour and a half for our food. The manager did not care and continued to walk past us ignoring my party. Then he told us and everyone in the restaurant they were short staffed on cooks and waiters. Once we finally recieved our food, my mother-in-law received food she didn't order. She chose to eat the food rather than wait another hour. The table next to us were waiting for over 2 hours for their food. And again the manager was unconcerned. After i ordered my food over the phone I was hung up on without having my name taken or being told what the total or how long it would be until the food was done. I waited twenty minutes then went to the store to pick up my order only to find that it wasn't even put in, so I took a seat at the bar to wait for my food only to be told that I needed to move so that people who came in after me could have my seat and the one next to it. I left and came back after another 40 minutes only to find that my food still was not done and while I waited I was ignored by staff for close to half an hour until finally I was approached and told they were cooking my food. After another half hour they brought me my food which was COLD and they got the order wrong. I will not be returning to this restaurant. read more

Such a wonderful experience. They sat us outside at the beginning but after it being so hot outside we asked the manager named Rick to see if they could seat us inside and even though they were bogged down with other waiting customers he made sure that we had a seat inside. And then came back later to give us coupons for Father's Day. Definite shout out to this restaurant in particular we will be coming back for sure. The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. I looked on the "No Wait" app and saw that there was a 10-15 minute wait. I decided to go without making the reservation through No Wait. We were seated almost immediately. This was at noon on a Sunday. Our waiter was excellent, very attentive. We had the beignets as an appetizer. Super sweet, but very good. I had the traditional breakfast with bacon and my boyfriend had the veggie burger and a Bloody Mary. My eggs were probably the best cooked eggs I've ever had besides my own. The bacon is baked so it is cooked perfectly. My boyfriend said his Bloody Mary was one of the best he's had and that the veggie burger was delicious. It was also handmade, not store bought, like a lot of restaurants. Our waiter was quick to bring the check once he noticed we were done eating. That's a big plus in my book! This is my second time coming this particular location. My first experience was amazing and prompted me to come back. Today I was highly disappointed. The food was amazing and our server Mark was polite but his service was less than up to par. Being a sever working in this industry attention to detail is everything. I placed a to go order and before I received my to go order he dropped the check off. He forgot to add the to go order to my check which let me know he had forgotten to place my to go order. I had to wait over 15 minutes before he came back to my table to cash me out and that was after my fiancé had to let him know we were ready to go and still waiting on a to go order. My wife and I enjoyed the service and the meal. It was when we paid the bill that ruined the service aspect. Our bill was $30.52. I gave the waitress $40 and she gave me $9 change. She shorted me .48 of the change that I was due. I have to admit that I usually pay with a debit card because I don't like it when the wait staff determines that the coins of my change belongs to them instead of giving it to me. When this happened I felt that she took the tip that she wanted. I am the kind of tipper that will leave $4 on a $10 check because I respect how hard they work. My refusal to leave a tip didn't sit well with my wife so I went back in and gave the waitress $2. When I told her that I didn't appreciate the fact that she didn't give me the proper amount of change, she grabbed the $2 and walked away without saying a word. If this is company policy I wont be returning. But the food was timely and good. read more

The beignets were raw, the tortillas on the huevos rancheros were burnt, the pancake was tough to cut and chewy and it tasted like it came from a box of mix. The mimosas were flavorless. From the moment we walked in, we were treated to kind, accommodating staff, and we were early enough (and I had used the Nowait app) so our wait was minimal. Richard, our server, went above and beyond to make sure we wanted for nothing. He anticipated our every need, was personable and friendly, and made us feel like we were his only priority. Oh how I wish Richard would give server lessons to teach everyone how it's done! And I haven't even mentioned how delicious our food was! I don't know where to begin. I have visited this restaurant so many times and have never had anything that wasn't a delectable delight. Father's Day was no exception. Another Broken Egg has been a favorite of mine for breakfast. I love the Highland location! All employees are very friendly. However, I had a lunch experience there today that left me feeling a bit disgruntled. The server was very pleasant. Our orders came out quickly, but after being dropped off, the server left to return almost immediately with our checks. He never came back to see if we needed anything or if we wanted dessert. That was not the worst part. I ordered the California Club sandwich that came with potatoes. I asked if I could substitute sliced tomatoes instead of the potatoes and was told yes with no mention of an upcharge. I noticed on the menu that a side of the potatoes cost $2.99 while the sliced tomatoes cost only $1.99. So my order came with the tomatoes instead of the potatoes. I was billed the extra $1.99 for the tomatoes. When I questioned the server he told me there was always an upcharge for a substitution. I pointed out that i had not gotten the original potatoes and I was charged the amount for the item plus the tomatoes which did not seem appropriate. I got nowhere so I just reflected it in my tip.
