From having a hostess open the door to our server Hilary being the perfect balance of happy, fun, personable and attentive to the manager Troy checking on us and being super friendly we were immediately relaxed and happy. Then the food came...pictures and words cannot do the food justice! I wish there were more than five stars because it was phenomenal. The lobster and brie omelette was perfection. The lobster was perfectly cooked and for this seafood snob if it was frozen the chef is a genius. On my first visit to this establishment, I had the Turkey, Brie and Pesto sandwich which I enjoyed quite a bit. On my second visit, I had the Bacon Burger with Cheddar. Even though the burger was ordered medium, it was quite well done. My wife's English muffin was also burned this visit. During both visits, iced tea was delivered lukewarm with scant ice. We had to order a glass of ice to chill it properly. As anybody who follows me knows, "Iced tea should be well iced, dammit!" Xfinity wifi works well at this location; however you may be out of luck if you're not a Comcast Internet subscriber. read more

No Eggs for you! at the Broken Egg This was the worst service ever. My wife and I sat at the bar and ordered omelets and a Bloody Mary. 15 minutes after we ordered, a man sat next to me and ordered the same omelet as me (The Lucie). Maybe 20 minutes passed, and the bartender served the man his omelet, (I thought it was mine) the bartender looked at me and said, sorry, your wife ordered the Florida omelet so your orders should be out shortly. The man completely finished his meal and we were still waiting for ours. We waited 10 more minutes and gave up. I asked the bartender for the check, she said, sorry, I don't know what happened and still had the nerve to charge us for the drinks after we waited for an hour. It was their screw up their extremely poor customer service, we waited for an hour and never got served our meal. This is a breakfast omelet, not a complicated 5 star 3 or 4 course meal. The customer service here is excellent. I told the server it was our first time there and she gave us some free beignets with marmalade sauce which was a nice touch. Reminded me of being in New Orleans. She was really great, but I can't remember her name. Bobby came over to talk to us, gave us a voucher for surprise item off your next visit and told us we would get a free pancake on third visit after I mention we just moved from the next town over. He was super nice and welcoming (one of the mgrs). They have a way to skip the line using the yelp app. Really great coffee and yummy smoked salmon Benedict. My family and I visited another broken egg, and had a marvelous experience. Everyone loved the food, and I wish I could of taken a picture of our plates. My husband and I had the "Huevos Rancheros". The tostada or crispy fried corn tortilla which served as the foundation of this decadent meal was very crispy, warm and light, it was very complimentary to all of the other ingredients on the plate. The service was excellent, and could of not asked for a better server. One thing I did not understand, was the spritzer taste in my grapefruit juice. I hope they are not adding carbonated soda to the juice in order to cut costs. I did not let that small detail affect my review, but I will inquire on my next visit. The breakfasts I've ordered have consisted of basics such as bacon & eggs, French toast & a must try, the City Grits. Pecan praline & candied bacon French toast sent me to the review board today... outstanding. My server Sam was particularly on point as well. The drawbacks of this place are that it's big & corporate. It gets very crowded on the weekends. I really wanted to like this place but the bad attitudes from the staff wont have me coming back. This was my first visit here, just my grandma and I. We sat down right before closing on a Saturday so maybe they were pissed about that. My grandma is 94 and the only menu option was scanning the QR code on the table which she doesn't know how to do and it was too small for her to read. It was like pulling teeth to get an actual menu for her. She ordered her coffee with milk and it came out with little creamers. We ordered water which never came. Ordered a side of begniets and then waitress specifically asked if we wanted them to come out before our meal and we said yes. We had to ask after halfway through our meal where they were. One of the servers came in from an outside table complaining about the couple putting their masks up each time she came over and calling them "germy ass people at that table". We were the last in the restaurant and they were cleaning and talking inappropriately, swearing and using sexual slang. This should be called Another Shit Show today. Called ahead for seating and arrived at 1015. We were told we would be seated at 1030. Did not get seated until 1130 and our party had to be sat at two separate tables. After sitting at our table for 20 minutes a waiter finally showed up and took our order. It took about 20 more minutes to get our drinks and when they showed up the drinks were all wrong. We waited until 12:50 to get our food and although some of it was good, the pancakes were burnt. I will have to say that they got us new pancakes within 5 minutes. Don't know what was going on today, but they definitely deserved this review. read more
