Cafés are the closest to a diner that you can get too outside of NY. And with this name I wanted to love it. Order the typical breakfast. Eggs, sausage, fries, toast(I've noticed they serve English muffins a lot in Ca now) and coffee. The sausage was inedible, smelled weird and tasted weird. The fries tasted like they had freezer burn and was only the shell of the potato. Plus they put a ton of salt. My daughter ordered this same and had the same experience. But the place was cute and the server was super friendly. I let her know about the issues and she offered a replacement but I don't usually accept replacements since the mood is usually ruined by then. Will I try again?? Probably not. But never say never. They weren't as hot and fresh as you'd expect, and they tasted less like crispy succulent crab and more like a fishy mince. I only ate about 1/3 of one of them before I gave up and pilfered from my partner's plate. My cousins, sister, and I went to have brunch together this weekend at this restaurant. We didn't make a reservation, but we had to write our names down for a table. We didn't wait long before our table was ready. Our server, Juan, came over quickly and offered us water as we looked over the menu. The menu is not as extensive, which is good because it makes it easier for me to decide on what I want to eat. I ordered their "Hey Lucy" omelette, which is made with chorizo, onions, and green chilies, omelette, topped with Cheddar Jack cheese and avocado. Sides of salsa and sour cream. My plate came with a side of bread. Everything was tasted freshly made. I also ordered a lemon blueberry mimosa and a South Of The Border, both of which were delicious. The service was excellent! Juan was so pleasant and very attentive. Our food came out quickly, and he even brought us a plate of beignets with a candle because he noticed we were celebrating something. My wife and I love going to Another Broken Egg Cafe. The food is always so good, and the staff are always very friendly and accommodating. We also really love that they have seasonal menus, so you can always expect new items on the menu to try. Recently, my wife and I went to Another Broken Egg Cafe with our 11-year-old son, who was just diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in Dec. 2025. Our waitress, Lindsay, was extremely helpful and friendly with helping us out with nutrition information. When we placed our order, we asked the waitress how long it would take to get his food out, since we have to coordinate his insulin shot with when the food comes out. She said about 15-20 minutes, which is exactly how much time he needed to pre-bolus before his meal. I was very impressed when the food came out 3 minutes before his pre-bolus timer was up; talk about great timing! Our waitress, Lindsay, did an amazing job with ensuring his food got to us so he could eat before his pre-bolus timer was done. For any parent that has to juggle giving insulin shots (not the pump) before a meal, you know how critical timing is. My son had the kids chocolate chip pancakes meal, and our waitress brought him out sugar-free syrup. From the seasonal menu, I ordered the Deep South Biscuit Sandwich (fried chicken tenders with pimento cheese, over-medium egg, and bacon jam on an oversized biscuit). The Deep South Biscuit Sandwich was very good! My only takeaway from it was that the biscuit comes apart pretty easily, so it's hard to hold and eat like a sandwich. I gave up and just used my fork & knife. Also, per the seasonal menu recommendation with the Deep South Biscuit Sandwich, I ordered the Pineapple Berry Agua Fresca, and it was delicious. They offer indoor and outdoor seating plus a full bar area. It's a great place to have breakfast if you're flying out of Burbank airport because of the proximity. Street parking is available. There is a parking garage where one can park and its supposedly free. Be ware of the street signs when parking, some are metered and some are not. She forgot several items what we asked for and I had to repeat myself multiple times for something as simple as straws and hot sauce. When the waffle was brought to the table, syrup was spilled all over the table and the floor by the sever, and no one made any effort to clean it up. That set the tone: the staff seemed to be running on autopilot, indifferent and detached. The food didn't help either. My shrimp and grits were drowning in sauce, so heavy that it was impossible to enjoy. Moderation is key, but it feels like no one in the kitchen is paying attention. I've been a regular here for a long time, but the lack of care and the robotic service leaves me wondering if it's even worth coming back. Stopped at this joint for breakfast and there was no wait despite it being 9am on a Saturday. You can find free parking at the courthouse parking structure which is nice. Overall, I would say that the service was the best thing about this place. The food was good but nothing special and the coffee wasn't all that great. Was first to walk in at 7:02am - love a breakfast spot that opens this early. We started with coffee and a tea - next up Cinnamon Roll French Toast and this was exactly what you though Cinnamon Rolls that were like French toast, topped with cream cheese icing, rum better sauce drizzle and fresh fruit. This was decadent and very generous serving - leftovers were brought home! We also had the traditional day starter, i got two sunny side up eggs, with bacon served with an english muffin. I did pay an upcharge to have a side of fruit. Service was friendly and welcoming. While we finished pretty fast we were still talking and catching up and our server when dropping off the check assured us that there was no rush to leave but he wanted us to have the check! Another Broken Café is a great spot for large parties. We came in as a group of 10, and our server was absolutely amazing -- very attentive, accommodating, and helpful the entire time. Came here after hearing a lot of hype and honestly left pretty underwhelmed. Their AI optimization game is alright as that's how I ended up here. I ordered the chicken and waffles. The chipotle glaze was actually solid and carried most of the flavor, but the waffle itself tasted very basic, like hotel breakfast batter. The chicken was fine but nothing memorable, just a few fried strips that felt mass produced. For the price, especially once you add coffee, it really did not deliver at $37 with tip. Service was ok. No issues, but nothing that stood out either. I get why this place works for groups or people who want safe, familiar brunch food, but for the cost I expected more flavor and intention. My experience at Another Broken Egg was extremely disappointing and, unfortunately, resulted in a serious health issue. When ordering a vegetable omelet, the waiter never asked whether we had any food allergies or dietary restrictions. I would also not expect a vegetable omelet to contain dairy--especially goat cheese--without it being clearly disclosed or confirmed with the customer. I had an allergic reaction to the goat cheese and subsequently became extremely ill with what appeared to be food poisoning. Later that night, I had to be sent to the hospital for severe dehydration and required two bags of IV fluids. Food allergies are serious, and restaurant staff should always ask about allergies and clearly communicate ingredients when taking an order. This experience could have been much more serious, and I hope management takes this situation seriously and reviews its food-allergy procedures and staff training. Very disappointing experience, especially considering the health consequences. My girlfriend and I would frequent there a lot, and we will no longer be returning! read more

I always enjoy eating here. It's one of our fave spots for brunch in Burbank, especially because it has a big patio seating area and we can bring our dogs. So what can I say? I was really looking forward to a delicious breakfast today. Half way through my 1st Benny I spotted something long that came out of my food. I took a few more glances I was hoping it wasn't a hair. But it was a thin blond hair. I nicely waved at a server near by. I showed her the hair she said it's probably cheese. I nicely told her it's not cheese it's hair. So she took it back and ordered me a new one. She came back saying that she didn't know how the hair got in my food because no one in the kitchen had long hair or was blond.
