Olive & Thyme is such a great lunch spot! The food is always fresh and delicious. I've only ever gotten delivery from here so I haven't experienced the restaurant in person. But the food is always good and the desserts are INCREDIBLE. We often get salads and fries or tots to share. I love their cookies and their brownie is also really good! A day out for lunch with my coworkers and so glad to have Olive and Thyme just across the way from our office. I really like Olive and Thyme Toluca Lake and hoping this location on Olive is just as good. We arrived and it wasn't too busy which I was pleasantly surprised (post Easter week). They did a great job with the interior that gave this fresh and light ambiance, modern and bright. Your order at the counter, take your number and have a seat. I resisted getting a cookie or any dessert -my weakness and I was able to walk away LOL. Plenty of spacious indoor seating. We'll see how this works out when the lunch hour in this area is in full swing. I had to try the Chinese Chicken Salad. I love a well made CCS and this place is on the top of my list now. The arrival of the salad in a perfectly peaked mound is promising. A very light tangy dressing with shredded chicken and all that crunchy wontons. Yes - LOVE. We shared a servicing of French fries and that was similar to in and out cut fries. The fries were good, but then saw an order of tater tots go by...next time ;) I am so glad this place was a good time and my lunch was tasting great! Olive & Thyme is nearby my work so I stopped by for lunch! FLAVOR (4.7/5): 1. CINNAMON COOKIE: I believe this was either a cinnamon or creme brulee cookie or both (?) I forgot. This was yummy, but a little too sweet for my taste. Texture-wise, though, it was right up my alley. Soft and chewy. 2. DOUBLE CHOCOLATE LOAF: This was vegan, and I was pleasantly surprised. It was moist and rich without being too sweet. It was probably my favorite of the baked goods. 3. RIGATONI ALLA VODKA PASTA W/ FENNEL SAUSAGE: I definitely recommend getting the fennel sausage as an add-on. I loved this dish - the pasta was cooked perfectly and had a great balance of flavors. It's rich, but doesn't make you feel heavy. Oftentimes with popular/common dishes like this, they all start to taste the same wherever you go, but Olive & Thyme's vodka pasta was stellar. 4. MATCHA LATTE W/ OAT MILK: The matcha latte was the one letdown for me. It was okay as far as matcha goes, but was on the pricier side. I believe I paid close to 10 dollars for it. SERVICE (5/5): Service was great! TAKEAWAYS: If you're looking for a nice place for lunch and pastries in the area, I recommend Olive & Thyme! Today, a group of friends and I decided to stop by Olive & Thyme for lunch at their newer location -- and wow, what a surprise! From the moment we walked in, we were impressed. The space is open, beautifully designed, and exceptionally clean. It feels fresh, welcoming, and thoughtfully put together. The service was absolutely spectacular. We were greeted with genuine warmth and attentiveness -- friendly, professional, and truly A+ hospitality. You can tell they care about the guest experience. I ordered the Chinese Chicken Salad, and it was incredible -- perfectly balanced between acidity, sweetness, and savory flavors. The kitchen clearly knows exactly what it's doing. Every bite felt intentional and well executed. My friend ordered the poke bowl, which I had the chance to try, and it tasted unbelievably fresh -- like it had just come out of the ocean. Another friend ordered a sandwich with Italian prosciutto and brie cheese (I can't remember the exact name), but it was spectacular and full of flavor. We also loved the drinks. I had a matcha, and honestly, it's one of the best I've had in LA. Smooth, rich, and perfectly prepared. My friend's latte was delicious and slightly sweet -- just the way she likes it. Even the Coke our other friend ordered was perfectly cold (which definitely earns bonus points!). Service was quick and efficient, and they validated our parking, which was incredibly convenient. On top of that, they surprised us with a complimentary cookie at the end -- maybe just because we were having such a great time! The bathrooms deserve a special mention -- incredibly clean, beautifully lit, and honestly Instagram-worthy. It's one of those places where you could take a photo and post it right away. In a city like Los Angeles, it's rare to find a place that excels in atmosphere, food, service, and value all at once. Prices are very reasonable and definitely within the affordable range for the quality you receive. Olive & Thyme is always such a great spot to grab lunch in the Glendale/Burbank area! My go-to is the rigatoni with vodka sauce, and they have an amazing assortment of baked goods as well (the lemon bar and pop tarts are a favorite). It is a beautiful space with lots of natural lighting, some outdoor seating, and a section of retail products like cute trinkets/cooking things which I always enjoy browsing. Ordering at the counter is easy, and you just grab a table while you wait for your meal so it feels super casual. Seating is fairly limited and parking on the street can be challenging especially during the lunch rush. read more

I did take out here and got the "Derby" Cobb salad because the Cobb at the other location was my favorite. This one is almost the same when it comes to the ingredients ... they just have different lettuce. All this is fine but it comes with NO chicken and it's $4 more than the one at the Riverside location which comes with chicken. And if you want to add chicken to the salad, it's $10 more. I don't understand the reasoning here. Hopefully they will fix this. I also got the soup, which was delicious but was 3/4 of the way full for $12. I will give it good stars because they are new. Okay so I wanna start off by saying I love the original olive and thyme location so much, food is amazing and people that work there are amazing I go there multiple times a week. I decided to try their new location today and was excited to try new items and coffees. There's no other way to say it but the food was just not good, especially when compared to the original location. The sandwich was so messy and you can't even eat it without it falling apart plus the chicken was like no flavor and almost tasted uncooked which threw me off. They just put 4 big pieces of chicken on top of each other and the bread on both sides. And the Caesar wrap just wasn't good because it was lacking flavor and just didn't taste well. Also sorry but the coffees were not good at all, usually the OG location is amazing. I'm so sad about it but hopefully they change some stuff up. Literally going to OG location to get a new order because I can't eat this food. I thought there food standards were higher then this, very disappointing. read more
