Steak & Eggs

Classic diner, some of the best coffee in Southern California. This is a great local haunt with great service, a good menu selection, and honest food that is a decent value for the money. Worth the trip if you are in the area, this is one of our must go to anytime we are in town.

Old style coffee shop.

Excellent service all of them are fantastic at greeting people and making them feel welcomed. The American breakfast was good. Pancakes were fluffy. Lots of locals come here as I was observing who was walking in. I ordered a chorizo burrito and didn't really like it because it wasn't really like the chorizo I was expecting from a Mexican ran restaurant. So, won't be coming here for that. However do love that it's local and better than the commercial options.

Chicken fried steak breakfast. Comes with eggs, choice of potatoes and toast.

Was looking for a place to have breakfast and found The Town Cafe. Nowhere near me. But I liked the menu. Plenty of parking. The staff is super attentive. The cafe has been here since 1968. I had the chicken fried steak breakfast. The gravy is delicious. Portions very satisfying. Good coffee. The only downside is that dogs are not allowed on the patio. If I'm in the area, I would come here again.

Hash browns??

Ordered my family a meal to go and a side of hash browns. Asked for them crispy. They gave me chips!? I am so confused as to why any cook would think crispy hash browns means completely toast them into chips! Extremely disappointing! Overall we like the food. The older male waiter is very sweet and helpful. Never asking for hash browns crispy again. Someone inform this cook what crispy hash browns means.

Food was good but the one server was overwhelmed...it was my second time there. First time service was way better.

I forgot exactly how I first stumbled upon Cafe de Olla, but I've come here with my family a few…read moretimes, and we've definitely decided this location is better than the Monrovia one. First, their cafe de olla is absolutely delicious. This remains one of the only places where I genuinely enjoy ordering cafe de olla. Second, their food is incredible. They serve excellent portions, everything tastes fresh, and the food is just so good. I've had their taquitos and chilaquiles, and both were delicious. The only downside is that every time I've come, there has usually been a bit of a wait, especially because the restaurant itself is pretty small with limited seating. The inside is cute, but small, so we usually end up sitting outside. This is where their Monrovia location does have the advantage because it has much more space. Parking can also be tricky. Good luck finding a spot close enough where you don't have to walk far. We usually end up parking in the residential area around the corner. That said, the staff are wonderful and always try to be as accommodating as possible despite how busy they are. Highly recommend this place if you're okay with possibly waiting a bit for seating. The food and cafe de olla are worth it.

I came with a friend who is a regular and she gave me a lot of good recommendations of what to order. The menu is quite large, filled with tons of delicious Mexican breakfast options! I'm a big machaca fan, so that's what I ordered. As an appetizer, we got the molletitos with chorizo and OMG! It was absolutely delicious. I got to taste my friend's huevos divorciados and the sauce was so delicious. My machaca was different than what I have had at other restaurants, a little on the dry side, but I enjoyed it. Loved the rice and beans it came with! Another highlight was the Cafe de Olla itself! I think I downed like 4 cups of it, it was so delicious. Service here was fantastic. Highly recommend!

We've been on the lookout for a new contender for a while and think we found one! Ordering was simple - go to their website (https://breadandbreakfastla.com), hit order now, select a location (Burbank or North Hollywood) and order to your heart's desire. We went up to the front and let them know the name we placed the order under and off we went. My wife and I opted to try their Bacon & Sausage Burrito and Veggie Burrito. Both had a hefty weight to them and were delicious. What added to the deliciousness was their house-made salsa and crema. If you love heat, their salsa is on point! Add the crema and you've been transported to another world. Staff was super nice and had our order ready when promised. Since this is in the same parking lot as Circus Liquor, we stopped in to grab some snacks and drinks for later too. Great all around!

I suggest ordering beforehand to pick up, We waited about 20 minutes for our order. They are very busy with delivery orders Around 12:30 on a Saturday. Still amazing burritos, fresh, and SUPER tasty.

There was plenty of space inside however for respect for others if I had to bring my pup I try to keep him away from others food. Once our table was ready it was not that long of a wait we sat on the benches outside. It's a cool vibe nothing special this is located in a grocery store parking lot so there was plenty traffic moving along the parking lot but nothing to complain about. The only negative so far was the wait time for service, once seated were given utensils and we wait for 20 plus minutes before we got up to ask if we were to place an order inside. Eventually someone came out to take our order and our drinks were brought out not long after that. I put my timer on and it took exactly (11:20) for our food to arrive. Which was fast, I had the crepes with strawberries and Nutella. This was a doughy crepe not over the top but enough for one to get full, this crepe wasn't overly sweetened and it was the perfect thickness. Which was my reason for getting them. I get full easy but and I wanted something that wouldn't go to waste. If you're a light eat like myself this is the perfect portion and meal choice. Over all it was decent my eggs came as just as I asked the bacon was thick cut and perfectly cooked it wasn't under cooked nor over cooked. My niece gave her meal 6 or 7 out of 10 she had the French toast it was called the strawberry dream she put syrup her complaint was that it was soggy but that may have been human error she said next time she won't add the syrup.

Probably because they have an amazing selection of pancakes, waffles and crepes with lots of toppings. Today, I had poached eggs, chicken breast, hash browns , toast and coffee. Chicken breast was dry AF, eggs were good, hash browns were standard and the brewer coffee is weak AF. I asked for an expresso shot just to get a bit of coffee flavor. I can think of three places in Burbank who do standard breakfast better. But, if you want speciality pancakes, crepes or waffles , this is a place for you. Service and ambiance are pretty middle of the road. Not horrible but also not memorable.

He guided us thru a few options before we settled on matcha lemonade, and a seasonal drink: mango-tango matcha. Deliciously flavorful and creamy, but tbh it is somewhat rich and dessert like. The roll was crisp and the filling was creamy, but we didn't really care for the glaze (white chocolate?) on the outside.
