Disappointed would be an understatement. Coming from a foodie city, and reading the reviews of the 5/5 stars, I would have said I was misled and deceived. Prices can be ridiculous in small town eateries, as the logistics to import the ingredients can be cumbersome, so passing it on the customers is ideal, but c'mon not these kinds of prices. Ordered the chicken drunken noodles, as I do with all Thai restaurants, it was just plain greasy and spicy hot, which didn't add much flavor or punch to an entree that needed clear help. One of the worst meals I've ever had! My sticky rice was wrapped in plastic then in the to go box. My chicken was dark brown..almost black looking when I bit through it. Khao Soi is the best dish I may have ever had. I have had it twice in two days and a level three. I write this from a place of bliss and a majority of my peripheral is gone from spice. This dish combines coconut curry flavors with essentially ramen noodles, and a chicken leg and thigh. It's incredible. I hope two Tums are enough to save me but was willing to risk it a second day in a row. If you eat here, try the Khao Soi. Maybe start level two spice. Seriously one of the best dishes ever. I used to really liked eating here and did so at least 2 times a week. Once they started adding the automatic 20% gratuity to every order, including take out I have unfortunately stopped going back. The last time I took myself and my daughters out for dinner, it cost me over $130 to include the $25 gratuity. That's for only 2 noodle dishes, 1 yellow chicken curry and 1 beer. We have spent years traveling through 30+ countries across four continents and have had many opportunities to enjoy great Thai food. Sadly, this restaurant totally missed the mark. We had previously eaten here and the meal was OK for the money but we were very disappointed this evening. We had the Panang Curry, Duck Curry and Pad Kee Mao. The curries were mediocre, seems like they came from a bottle one could purchase at Smith's or Albertsons. The Pad Kee Mao was the only thing good about the whole meal. But when it was all said and done, dinner cost us $120 for three plates, a soft drink the two beer. Then to add insult to injury, they automatically added an 18% gratuity and then asked if we wanted to add an additional tip. I find this very presumptuous and highly disappointing when businesses do this because the staff don't have to work for their tip. read more

Not only was was the food amazing, the folks that worked there and the other customers made it feel like we were in one of our favorite places at home - a truly inviting atmosphere. So much so, we came again the next night and it was even better. An item to note, the dumplings were the best I have ever had and I consider myself somewhat of a connoisseur. Ordered take-out from this place and was surprised to find an $80 total for two modest entrees and an app!! They failed to let me know that there was an automatic 20% "pickup fee" for gratuity. Additionally, the food was not ready when we came for pickup and we were waiting almost twice the quoted time. They told us it would be an additional 20 minutes when we asked after 40 minutes of waiting. Then surprise surprise when we asked for a refund, it was magically ready! We know that the service industry in seasonal tourism towns is tough to keep staff and find them affordable housing, but you can't treat your guests this way and expect to stay in business. Pay your staff a livable wage, hire grown ups who know what good service and professionalism looks like, and if your prices aren't enough to do that, don't ambush your guests with a 20% fee out of the blue - raise your prices on your menu! Incredibly delicious Thai food nestled in downtown Jackson. Having lived in both NYC/LA, I was very pleased with the entire order and blown away by the authenticity. Do not sleep on the pad gra pow with chicken (level 2 habenero heat) -- SO GOOD and it comes with rice and a perfect fried egg on top. Sooo glad they have opened for dine in. The atmosphere is warm and fun. Service was prompt, and the food was to die for. I normally get the green curry for take out as I am a creature of habit, but for my first time dining in I wanted to try something new and was not disappointed. Brody and I started by splitting the Tom Kha soup which had us craving more once we finished. Unfortunately I can't remember the names of our main dishes, but both of our minds were blown with how good they were. 10/10 would recommend to anyone with tastebuds. Hit this quaint, well decorated restaurant in Jackson. We ordered lots of appetizers: satay, fresh spring rolls, crab Rangoon, dumplings, and mee krob. All five apps were presented well and delicious. The mee krob was a very generous portion--we could have eaten it all night. For dinner, we had pad Thai, pineapple fried rice and red curry at the 2nd spice level. I've been disappointed in many pad Thai over the years, but this one hit the mark.
