Taro Almond Smoothie
Paul P.

They have a nice selection of boba and teas. Their milk tea selection is not as big but has staples. However they have a lot of different refreshers, smoothies, and even has combos with the Japanese sushi and takoyaki hot foods right next to it. For 7.00 you can get a huge bubble tea. However pictured is their medium Taro Almond Smoothie which was perfect. Wished they had different milk options however this was still perfect not too sweet and that kick of taro.

Located a few blocks away from John Bowne High School is Anda Cafe. They specialize in bubble tea and hot snack foods. Ambience: smaller than a traditional takeout, they have some bar stools and a counter for those that elect to eat in. This is mostly a to go set up. Food: on top of the usual varieties of bubble tea, they offer some quick fried snack foods like French fries and takoyaki

Iced Milk Tea w. Tapioca & Fresh Mango Yakult

I've passed this place a million times and decided to finally give it a try. My friend and I walked over during my break and placed an order for Ice Milk Tea with Tapioca, Fresh Mango Yakult, Salt & Pepper Chicken, French Fries, and a Spicy Kani Roll. The Fresh Mango Yakult was extremely refreshing. I tasted the fresh mango with each sip. The Salt & Pepper Chicken was crispy and seasoned perfectly. Not too much salt or pepper, but just enough to keep you coming back for more. I wasn't a fan of the fries because they were crinkle and not off the shoestring variety. Although they were crispy I couldn't enjoy them. I didn't get a chance to try the sushi because I was already full. However, my friend said that the Spicy Kani wasn't bad but we've had better. The rice was mushy and there was too much of it. However she did enjoy the spicy Mayo and eel sauce drizzled on top. This place was way too hot to not have the portable ac unit on. I wanted to turn on the ac because it made no sense for it to feel like a scorching hot summer day. We had to wait outside as our food cooked.

Huge selection of bbt but nothing special. They're prices are super reasonable though compared to other places now. I'd definitely avoid prime time like dismissal on school days -- packed with middle/high schoolers. Use cash if you don't want to be charged a credit fee. I ordered a large earl gray milk tea with tapioca and came out a little over $7 using my cc. To be honest, it was waaay too sweet for my liking. Wish I was able to customize the sweetness level. Would prob come back for fruit drinks.

First time visiting today. They sell snack, drinks and sushi. I got a supersize coconut bubble tea for $6.50 including tax. I think it's good value. Didn't try other items but price seems reasonable. Quality was ok. Plus the price = will return!

Two bubble tea drinks from Anda Cafe, with tapioca pearls at the bottom, are on a speckled table near a window with a street view.

Please learn English (respectfully) I asked for medium boba you gave me large I have diabetes and diarrhea now I'm lactose intolerant I thought I would treat myself to some dairy, but now I can't stop going to the toilet We also ordered French fries now my brother has some stomach problems The owner went to the bathroomGod knows what he did and he came out with dry hands and the store suddenly started smelling bad my brother asked for a mango and lime smoothie mixed and the owner gave us a side eye and said "ARE YOU SURE NO NO NO" with his broken English he also doesn't take food stamp and gave us a major side eye and the dirtiest look when we gave him the card. My sister got embarrassed so rude the chairs were small my butt fell off they also gave us one packet of Ketchup with the fires what the hell am I supposed to do with just one ketchup the fries looked so large and the portion looked like it was a lot in the picture but they gave us frickin kids meal portion of fries I CAN GET THEM CHEAPER AT MC DONALDS. I PAID SO MUCH FOR FRIES AND GOT THEM WITH ONE KETCHUP AND THE FRIES CAME WITH NOT EVEN A SPRINKLE OF SALTTT ‍‍ #JUSTICE AND REFUND FOR THE KETCHUP AND FRIES AND BOBA. All jokes aside the place was decent and everything tasted alright would recommend trying it out.

How much bubble tea is too much? If you answered, it's never too much when talking about boba then you must love boba as much as I do. With that being said I always get the large whenever I get boba, no matter where I go. That seems to be where I went wrong with Anda cafe. Their large is literally in a quart size container with a straw in it. Imagine my face when they called my order number. Too much of a good thing can be bad for you, but too much of a meh drink is also not great. There was a promo though, 2 larges for $9 which is a steal. Get it to shock your friends, but not if you're craving really good boba.

A new-ish neighborhood establishment located a couple of blocks away from where I live, the name always makes me think of "Panda Cafe" and they have a super cute panda mascot. The interior is nice and clean, with several high seats and white countertops lining the space by the window, allowing room for customers to dine in if desired. There was a large menu for drinks and bubble tea, including milk teas, fruity flavors, smoothies, latte and more. They also have an extensive sushi menu, as well as salt and pepper fried chicken, french fries and chicken nuggets. The first time I visited, I ordered the shrimp tempura sushi and salt and pepper chicken. The sushi had a drizzle of yummy sauce and the shrimp tempura was lightly crispy. There was also sliced cucumber and onion, which tasted wonderfully fresh. The salt and pepper chicken was extremely flavorful, juicy, and delightfully crunchy. It was so good that it didn't need any sauce. I also tried a couple of their drinks, which are very reasonably priced. The small size is $3.50, the medium is $4.50 and large is $5.50. I had the almond taro smoothie and white peach smoothie. The almond taro smoothie was such a treat - I was able to taste both flavors really well and they mingled together perfectly. The addition of one topping is free, so I had it with tapioca pearls, which was just okay. The quality of the boba isn't as high as other places. It was a bit too chewy and slightly mushy. The white peach was decent, but it didn't have the pure flavor I was expecting - It was too artificial and sweet. I wanted to get purple rice with that but they didn't have that available yet, so I chose the rainbow jelly. Red, orange, and white in color, they were quite enjoyable. Most recently, I had chicken nuggets and french fries. I asked if they had sauce other than ketchup and the chef let me have some of the spicy mayo that is usually reserved only for the sushi. That spicy mayo was sooo tasty and enhanced the already delicious chicken nuggets and fries. The chicken nuggets were very tender and succulent, bursting with great seasoning. The fries were skinny, just the way I like them and full of potato-y goodness. The service is pleasant. The folks behind the counter are lovely - patient and helpful. They seem to know the menu well and make informed recommendations. There are quite a few drinks I would like to get and I really hope they will have the purple rice topping soon. I will definitely be back!

I'm going to be honest, the main reason I went inside this restaurant was because of their name. Is it Anda or Panda? Anyway, I'm glad I went in. They have a pretty good selection of bubble teas and snacks. This place is fairly small but bright and airy and clean since they just opened last month. The back area is a small grocery store of sorts that sells more Asian snacks, drinks and ice cream. I only gave this section a quick glance on my first visit. I was mainly interested in the front area where they sell bubble tea, small plates of food and sushi. I ordered their Thai-ro milk tea and salmon avocado roll. The sushi roll was decent. The Thai-ro was seriously delicious and very pretty to look at. It's a combo of Thai ice tea and taro flavor. Had no idea that these two flavors would mesh so well. I can't wait to go back and try some other flavors of bubble tea.

black moo (milk, grass jelly, black/brown sugar)

A new place in the neighborhood is always nice. My wife and I came here about 2 months ago, and ordered the moo drink, which was most milk, some brown sugar, and grass jelly. On that same night, both me and my wife had upset stomachs and became well acquainted with the toilet. It was without a doubt the drink we ordered from this place. The drink was very bland and tasted like regular milk to us. I don't see myself coming back to this location, but if you're in the area, and what bubble tea, you can try the shop across the street, 168 tea shop.

Medium vs large!

I had low expectations for this small off-brand cafe but the bubble tea was amazing!!! Their large is largest cup I've seen, why order anything else?! The almond and taro mix was so delicious! Will definitely be back!

The tacoyaki balls came with no fish flaks and they said they ran out of the sauce.. also, the fires was soggy and they didn't even have ketchup.. I would Not recommend! DO NOT COME

Fateha A.

The coconut milk tea was good but way too sweet. I also wish it had a stronger tea flavor rather than the milk & ice overpowering the tea.

BLUF: Average / slightly above average…read more Hanami Ramen is a small ramen shop with a focus on basic Japanese ramen and rice dishes. We visited Hanami Ramen and ordered: - Tonkotsu Ramen: $15; $16.33 with tax. - Gyu Don: $15; $16.33 with tax. Both dishes had marinated eggs, which could have been marinated a little longer. The Gyu Don was over-salted. The Tonkotsu Ramen could have used slightly better noodles and a thicker broth. Other: - Complimentary water is served. - The atmosphere and décor is minimalist. - Service was prompt, and good. Suggested tips are based on pre-tax subtotals, and start at 18%; there is a 5% cash discount. - Japanese music played in the background during our visit. The wood stools open for storage. - The unisex restroom has ADA grab bars, and is well-maintained and well-ventilated. We felt overall that Hanami Ramen was somewhere between average and slightly better than average -- not a compelling choice, but a decent choice for those nearby Flushing Hospital.

Queens has plenty of excellent Japanese restaurants, but in my opinion, this one really stands out. The servers were friendly and professional, and even funny. The Shishito Peppers are a great starter. They are lightly charred and just mildly spicy, perfect for sharing. The Kara Age is another fantastic appetizer: crispy fried chicken with spicy mayo. Although the restaurant is known for its ramen, I opted for a rice bowl instead. The Gyu Don is rice topped with marinated beef and onion, a soy egg, and garnished with scallions and pickled vegetables. It's a hearty, flavorful dish with a wonderful balance of sweet and savory flavors. The portions were generous as well. Overall, 5 stars.

I usually get the Japanese-Styled Chicken Ramen because it's the most affordable for its price value ($12.50). No tax has been added to the total. Love how it also has the most pieces of meat compared to other ramen bowls on the menu. I think the number of meat pieces has been increased for the better this time. Would say there're about 15-20 pieces in total compared to the 8-9 pieces two years ago. Got there at 8:40pm and the food hall is about to close in 20 mins. Quickly ordered, paid, waited 10 mins max in the seating area, and then received my food shortly afterwards. Staff is polite + patient + generous. Chowed everything down in 15 minutes or so. Noodles: Savory + Flavorful Bamboo Shoots: Crunchy + Fresh Half Soft Boiled Egg: Soft + Golden Chicken: Tender + Well Seasoned Seaweed: Melts on my tongue Sweet Corn: Lightly sweetened on its own. Here's the quirky bit: in addition to the price of the ramen, you will be temporarily charged an extra $5 as a deposit for the bowl. I'm a fan of this because it ensures there's no plastic waste from each serving. (Mother Earth approves this message.) Other stores around the food court should totally adopt this technique. It's just more sustainable, and who doesn't want to save the planet while slurping noodles? Now, onto the ramen itself: it was decently good and satisfying. Honestly, I'm not sure how authentic this ramen would be considered, but it sure did taste pretty good. (Did it teleport me to Japan? Not really since I've never been in Japan. Did it make my taste buds do a happy dance? Absolutely.) I didn't think it was bad at all, but then again, my ramen expertise is about as deep as a kiddie pool. Here Dawan Ramen, take my 4 stars.

I got the miso version which came with minced pork. The flavor of this one was richer and sweeter because of the addition of miso. The noodles started to stick a bit as they cooled down so I added some of the dipping broth to the bowl to keep them from sticking together.
