Getting fresh sushi at a good price is hard to come by and I'm glad Yoi Sushi is in the neighborhood. Friendly staff and quick service. The establishment is on the smaller side but they do have an upstairs as well. Very bright interior and clean setting. My family and I love getting the bento boxes and lunch specials. Plenty of variety.

This is a place that looks very unassuming from the outside but has a nice interior design. I came in for a late lunch and luckily there was plenty of seating available. I believe they also have an upstairs dining area. I decided to try out the lunch special, which consisted of pork katsu, shrimp tempura, miso soup and vegetable udon. The portions were very generous and I liked the visual presentation of the food. My issue was the actual flavor or more specifically the lack of flavor in the food. The pork katsu was extremely dry and just didn't taste like there was any seasoning on the meat. It was more tolerable when mixing with the tonkatsu sauce. The udon broth was also extremely bland. The most flavorful thing was the passion fruit juice. I would not rule out coming back to this place but I will definitely order sushi or sashimi instead. The service was friendly and attentive and prices were reasonable.

I came to Yoi Sushi for a family dinner. We were seated in a booth on the first floor, but I believe they also have an upstairs dining area. The doorway is quite inconveniently placed because only one average sized person can squeeze out at a time. It was crowded the night we went too... We ordered the seafood ramen ($17.95), super bento box ($24.99), Usutsukuri ($12.99), 3 roll special ($15), and a la carte sushi/sashimi. They have a deal where you can order as many pieces of sushi/sashimi for $1.35 each as long as you ordered at least $20 of food from the regular menu and pay with cash. Overall, I would only order their sushi/sashimi because everything else tasted mediocre, or we didn't quite like it. Prices are good and affordable for the quality and portion size you get. If I'm ever craving sushi and don't want to travel to my go-to places in Manhattan then I will definitely come here again.

Sashimi regular set with 2 a la carte amaebi (sweet shrimp)

I ordered takeout from here during the pandemic more times than I can remember, but I finally had the chance to dine in recently. It just so happened that they had a limited promotion where you could order as many pieces of sushi/sashimi as you wanted for $1.35 each (as long as you ordered at least $20 of food from the regular menu and paid with cash). We ordered the "sashimi regular" set (12pc sashimi, selection varies) to hit that minimum, and then from the promotional menu we ordered around 20? more pieces. Fish was generally delicious across the board. I particularly liked how rich and slightly sweet the salmon that came with the sashimi set was (fattier than the the salmon a la carte which had a lighter flavour). Other highlights included the amaebi sweet shrimp (which is honestly a steal at $1.35 per piece) and the red snapper. Service was very friendly and efficient. Price point ultimately came out to around $2/piece (including tax/tip) which is pretty good for sushi of this quality. Would definitely recommend taking advantage of this promotion before it ends.

We were craving sushi and came across Yoi Sushi. We ordered the Pork and Chicken Katsu meal set and it came with several other sides with it. Everything about the meal was perfect, the crispness from the katsu and tempura, the freshness from the sashimi and Kani salad, and the miso soup paired perfectly with the meal. The staff was very attentive and nice. The lighting and seating booths/area gave a sense of privacy and comfortability which im a huge fan of.

We dropped by after checking out Fans Week at the US Opens. Amazing lunch and they really feed you here. Best sushi lunch, hands down. The food just kept coming out and we left full. The fish was very fresh and chicken katsu was a serving by itself. Service was quick and friendly. The restaurant has a limited seating and we were happy to have gotten a booth upon arrival.

I found this place on Google and Yelp. I never knew this place existed until I looked around Flushing for places to eat at. You would never know from the outside looking inside that the place would have so much seating. There's an upstairs part if there's an over fill of people on the first level. Once I was brought upstairs and was given a menu, I saw much more seating and how extensive the food options were here. I decided on the cash option of sushi. Where it was $1.35 per piece and you can either do regular sashimi or get it with rice. I decided for mostly sashimi. I was very full afterwards. If I ever do come back I would like to get the lobster special that they have where it's for two people.

Really solid food and experience! They might have one of the most worth it lunch specials that I have come across. For around $15, you get soup, salad, sushi roll, sashimi, tempura, and a main entree. Service was very friendly and very fast, perfect for a quick business lunch. Ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and comfortable. A really excellent place to enjoy a solo lunch or lunch with a few friends. This is a place I would definitely come back to when I'm in the area :)

Their salmon sashimi was made very fresh and the service was really good. Their salmon and white tuna was my favorite

I came here with high expectations given all the good reviews, instead the servers seemed bothered by us. They were being rude & ignoring us. We were a party of 4, 5 including my 4 month old! The sushi was okay, it really didn't taste fresh but not that old either. The presentation was pretty as well. The passionfruit yakut was so good. The ramen tasted a bit bland. The place was nice & small. The customer service is what's not making me come back. Everything was just an ok.

Absolutely love YOI Sushi! The food is always super fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The fish tastes clean and high-quality -- you can tell they take pride in what they serve. I especially recommend their specialty rolls and sashimi platters; every piece melts in your mouth. The staff are friendly, attentive, and make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The restaurant itself is cozy and modern, perfect for both a quick lunch or a nice dinner out. Prices are really fair for the quality you get, too. If you're in Flushing and craving sushi, this is hands down one of the best spots around. Consistent, delicious, and great vibes every time!

I've had Yoi sushi a few times before as a take out and have liked it. We came by this week to try sit down dining. Service was really good- waiter was very attentive. The space is small but good for small parties. Nice minimalistic decor inside. For food, I have mix feelings. While the sashimi was fresh, the quality is ok. I like the white tuna, salmon and herring (I think). But the tuna is just ok. The soy sauce is a bit watered down and wasabi quality is just ok.

When we visited in November, they had a promotion for $2 off tsukemen orders for dine in. There was only one staff member working and food seems to be made to order so expect a short wait. It didn't seem like there were too many orders yet as we got there before 12. The staff member was also nice enough to give us 2 cans of KFT's green tea on the house which was nice of them! We sat at the counter seating which is where most of the seating for dine in seemed to be. The shoyu dipping broth had a very clean flavor and it also came with boiled charsiu pieces. I got the miso version which came with minced pork. The flavor of this one was richer and sweeter because of the addition of miso. The noodles started to stick a bit as they cooled down so I added some of the dipping broth to the bowl to keep them from sticking together. All in all, a super filling meal in the Queens crossing food court!

After it was done he put it on the counter...and then proceeded to move the tip jar in front of me JIC. Taste. You get one very thin slice of meat, but it tasted better than it looked. The noodles are thick, different from your usual ramen spot but it really clings onto the broth. I think it was a solid bowl of ramen but I felt it was super salty, highly concentrated. Midway through, the kitchen guy gives me a can of Kungfu Tea green tea and said it's complimentary. The tea really helped with the saltiness. Overall, it's a good bowl of food court ramen but nothing spectacular. I recommend getting the yakitori platter as it's a nice sampler but my husband especially enjoyed the chicken gizzard. My dad never had wagyu before so he especially loved the wagyu but I do think it's expensive for the amount they give you, I can see why it's pricier but just know before you order it's like $45 for 2.5 oz or in our case about 5 thin slices of wagyu. My brother said the tornado omelette was tasty and filling and he enjoyed it. The trio tuna sushi roll was very fresh. As for the service, I think everyone was pleasant but the vibes were a little off, it seems like they were just very exhausted. This doesn't affect the quality of the food or the experience but it was just something I noticed. They were still very attentive and provided great service. The reason for the one star off is because I do wish the Hako sushi had a bit more flavor, I saw so many different ingredients and fish but none of the flavors were impactful, it was rather one dimensional which was disappointing because it was presented so beautifully. Overall, I recommend giving Izakaya nana a try and I would definitely go again to try other things.
