    Sushi sashimi roll combo

We ordered these platters for a family get together and they were ready at the designated time. Very reasonable prices (cash only) and friendly staff. The fish was fresh and nicely presented. We will definitely be going back.

Crazy amount of orders on thanksgiving day

The platter seemed to be smaller than before but I can't be sure. What I do know is that we didn't have enough soy sauce packets, wasabi, dipping containers, and miso soup to go around. They only gave wasabi on one platter, maybe thinking it was enough...if a large platter serves 4-7 and I ordered two large platters, one large sashimi and one XL sushi platter, then I should've at least be given 14 dipping containers along with 14 soups, I was given maybe 7 soups and 10 containers. People had to share soy sauce containers!! Not everyone got a soup which is not the worse thing in the world since the soup is complementary but not having enough wasabi is a sin. I will say something about this if I ever order from them again. (The hot sauce they give on the side is still delicious)

Fresh fish, great take out service. I would recommend calling and placing the order early because they do have lots of orders coming in. I love the attention to detail, providing the bagged ice to keeping the food fresh. Great value for the price. Definitely will be coming back for some more take out

he sushi here was incredibly fresh and flavorful. I ordered a few rolls and each one had a good balance of rice and filling. The fish melted in my mouth. The presentation was beautiful and made it even more enjoyable. Staff was kind and the vibe was calm and quiet. Would totally come back for a sushi night.

Very fresh sushi take out & very friendly service. I ordered a couple of hand rolls and a dragon roll. They are more known for their reasonably prices sushi/sashimi platters.

I will drive from Manhattan through an hour traffic just to pick up sushi here and that says A LOT. Always call in advance to place your order and specify a time as they will prepare sushi closer to pick up time to ensure it stays fresh. They are cash only and the staffs are super friendly. One of them even held the door for me when my hand were full from the huge platter of sashimi. Highly recommend for any party or if you're simply just craving fresh sashimi.

Sushi & Sashimi If you in the Queens area and looking for take out sushi, then this is the spot! The fish here is always so fresh and the best quality. There is nothing to complain about the quality of the fish. However as years have gone by they've stopped putting the cucumber with their take out orders which was something that was a little upsetting. However, I recommend this place to someone as well and they've loved this place. One of the great things is that on their sushi the tails are long on the pieces! - This is ONLY a take-out place even before COVID this was only for take-outs only -Ask and they will give you miso soup -Red pepper paste and soy sauce is included~

Legit sashimi/sushi spot- amazing deal with the different platters! Perfect for large gatherings. Sashimi and rolls were pretty fresh!!! They gave a bag of ice to put over the platter to keep it cold. The medium platter of sashimi/sushi was a great snack for 6-7 people (might get the large platter next time). Medium platter was abt $60. I really enjoyed the selection in the platter and would def come back, great quality!

There's no dining in only take out and it's cash only. The sushi is pretty good in the area.

The fish they used was good quality and the staff were quick and kind. Their salmon dragon ball was really good, as well as their moonstruck and volcano were amongst my favorites. They send you a text message reminder and you also have a15 minute grace period. Place is clean, just that the floor is a bit slippery. Since the place was packed there wasn't anywhere to put our bags so it did feel a bit crammed. Wished they got hooks at the bottom of the table. Food was goooooood. Ofc got a good variety of food from hot food to sushi and sweets. Hot food: -fried shu mai was nice and hot with a very thin wrapper so got that nice brittle crunch -sirloin was juicy -fried oyster was also really decent -eggplant tempura crunchy outside and nice and soft in the inside. Perfect texture since sometimes the eggplant is not soft enough imo Sushi: Their sashimi slices seem to got thinner but that's fine cuz we can order more. Yellowtail, salmon, and white tuna was supppper delish. White tuna will be my go to here now. The sushi rolls and nigiri were good too. Love the rice to fish ratio here since other ayce spams rice. Dessert: Jasmine milk pudding- this was more like Jasmine milk tea with pudding topping, but the tea was actually really floral. We all liked it. Every server was super nice and food came out not too late considering how packed they were. Again, really appreciate them being able to accommodate our change in reservation even though they were packed.

We are very familiar with the area and must have walked passed this neatly tucked away gem without ever noticing it. Our son had mentioned that he and his friends have been going to a sushi place near Asian Jewel, our former dim sum go to place. When we sat down to order, my wife and I were quite impressed by how clean and cozy the restaurant was. Kind of on the small side with a few tables on the ground floor level. The menu offered cooked food as well as fresh sushi. We decided to start with the sushi & sashimi combo. They also offered a sushi or sashimi a la carte menu where you can choose to order by the piece. I believe that if you choose one of their standard menu sushi or sashimi orders and pay with cash, the a la carte price per piece of sushi / sashimi is only $1.35 / piece! Well we were famished and in addition to the sushi & sashimi plate we ordered two rounds of sushi & sashimi a la carte. Their salmon and yellow tail was so fresh and so scrumptious as was the sweet shrimp. The tuna was also very yummy and did not disappoint! When all was said and done we were quite happy with our experience with Yoi Sushi Japanese. I highly recommend Yoi if you're anywhere near Tangram Mall or Asian Jewel and have a hankering for yummy sushi. They also offer cooked food as well as ramen bowls.

The shrimp tempura roll has the perfect amount of breading and the salmon tastes fresh! The interior is clean and I love the decor. I believe they have an upstairs seating area too. The nigiri was good as well, they don't use toppings that you normally see at other omakases (of similar price point) so the nigiri was more similar to the nigiri served at authentic japanese omakases (not sure if this is Japanese owned but I don't think so). Nigiri was also not the typical basic fish (e.g salmon, unagi), but fish like barracuda and kinmedai. For dessert, we had fior di latte ice cream which was amazing, I still think about it, and they were kind enough to give us an extra one. Service was great and not too talkative or invasive. They gave us a letter at the end which showed everything we ate at the omakase that day and personalized with your name on it which I thought was nice. Not sure if they changed the course throughout the day though since some of what was on the letter was not what we had during the course. They also gave us a candle. Overall, a little pricy to be honest but the experience was very personal and felt very upscale.

It is $165 for a 13 course - it also comes with appetizer and dessert as well. The place is located inside Siam Thai - behind a bookshelf, the vibes are immaculate back there. The chief was so friendly and took his time to explain each dish to us and also took time to chat with us which I thought was really nice especially since I have mainly been to "fast casual" omakase locations recently where they don't really chat with you. There was a good variety of appetizers, fish and dessert. The appetizer options were so unique and the platting was so pretty. The fish options were also very plentiful and I liked the topping that they put on top of each one, the rich was not as warm and soft as I would usually like it but they paired well with the fish. The portion sizes were also pretty large which I thought was nice especially since we were paying about $165 a person. If you are getting sake, they do let you sample the sake before opening the whole bottle. The presentation of the opened sake was also so fancy. Overall - if you want a more traditional omakase experience, I highly recommend checking this place out. The vibes are immaculate and you will have a good time chatting with the chef while enjoying your food!

For our food we ordered the hako sushi, tornado omelette fried rice, trio tuna sushi roll, yakitori platter (ordered chicken gizzard and gyu harami on the side) and the A5 Wagyu cooked on the stone grill. I recommend getting the yakitori platter as it's a nice sampler but my husband especially enjoyed the chicken gizzard. My dad never had wagyu before so he especially loved the wagyu but I do think it's expensive for the amount they give you, I can see why it's pricier but just know before you order it's like $45 for 2.5 oz or in our case about 5 thin slices of wagyu. My brother said the tornado omelette was tasty and filling and he enjoyed it. The trio tuna sushi roll was very fresh. As for the service, I think everyone was pleasant but the vibes were a little off, it seems like they were just very exhausted. This doesn't affect the quality of the food or the experience but it was just something I noticed. They were still very attentive and provided great service. The reason for the one star off is because I do wish the Hako sushi had a bit more flavor, I saw so many different ingredients and fish but none of the flavors were impactful, it was rather one dimensional which was disappointing because it was presented so beautifully. Overall, I recommend giving Izakaya nana a try and I would definitely go again to try other things.
