My family and I have been coming here for years. We love the AYCE sushi at a reasonable price. The ambiance feels very homey and service is always wonderful. Sushi and sashimi always taste fresh, and their hot food items are on point. No complaints! They also have limited parking in their parking lot. When you come in, you get two paper menus and you just mark down what you want, and how many, and they'll keep bringing more to you. Only tip is, don't order too much of anything at once or you may not get all of it. We will keep coming back here!
This place is a hidden gem. Lots of seating options, great customer service. All you can eat with good quality ingredients. Not crowded at all but we went on a Thursday afternoon, super fast service. My only complaint is there is only one bathroom for all the guests.. we loved everything ! The winter roll was my favorite ; it had tuna, salmon and yellowtail topped with spicy crab meat. We also had the samurai, crunchy eel, hot mama, passion roll, shrimp tempura, and a california roll which were all equally as good. We were a party of 3 which ended up being $125 before tip and that felt very reasonable.
My family came here right around 11:30, which is the listed time they are open, so we were their first customer of the day. Upon entering the restaurant, they asked if we'd like to sit near the windows or by the fireplace. We opted to sit near the fireplace since it was really cold outside. I came with my grandparents who don't eat raw sushi, so we asked the waitress if there are items that they would recommend that were not sashimi. Since this is an AYCE place, we were strategic and tried to order a little bit of everything to see what we would like to eat without being wasteful. We ordered all the fried options for my grandparents, along with some sushi with eel and crab meat so that it was guaranteed cooked. The waitress was also kind enough to give us a piece of fried fish with lemons, which is not on their usual menu, since they knew my grandparents don't eat sashimi. We ended up only having one round of sushi and one round of fried food, since we were full, which was disappointing given that it's AYCE, but of course, we did not want to be wasteful. I also got the fried Oreos for dessert, which was delicious! I would recommend the fried Oreos if you've never tried it.
Back again and this place never disappoints. Family celebration and all the kids voted for New Sushi Village. We got to the place and were greeted with lovely staff and big smiles. We got our menus and waters for the table right away. And eventually after some deliberation handed in our first order. We all had a miso soup and Kani salad orders. For our first order of hot food items we got the chicken katsu, pork katsu, gyoza, chicken nuggets for the little one, lumpia, and the kalbi ribs. The soup were brought in first with the kani salad. It was perfect way to start the meal. Shortly afterwards, all of the food came in fresh and hot. I used the hoisin sauce for the katsu and the lumpia it was amazing. The gyoza came with a different dipping sauce and were perfectly crunchy. Kani salad was distributed and gone before I could even see it, that salad must have been good. Gotta love all AYCE because we ordered more. For sushi we started with four handrolls, three of them were salmon avocado, and one was eel avocado. In addition, we had three Philadelphia rolls, rainbow roll, shrimp tempura roll, spicy crab roll, spicy tuna roll and plenty of the egg custard and shrimp sushi. For sashimi we had the eel, white tuna, and salmon. NGL, the sushi was epic! The rice was still warm, the fish was chilled and fresh. It was a symphony of flavor that melts into your being and stays with you forever. The only negative standout was the white tuna sashimi which the surface of was a little dry. The eel was perfect, and just the right amount of sweetness from the eel bbq sauce. We dared to move onto desert where various flavors of cream such as red bean, vanilla and green tea, and fried Oreos dominated the choices. It was a great evening and fantastic time.
I've been coming to Sushi Village for years, and after a bit of a break, I recently returned--especially curious given the rebranding on their end. I'm happy to say it did not disappoint! The restaurant still offers a wide selection from their all-you-can-eat menu, and the sushi was flavorful. Very satisfied with my visit and definitely plan on returning again. And don't forget to save room for the fried Oreos--they're a must!
Amazing and fast service. There's plenty of seating. Restaurant was clean. Very neat decor. The food itself was very good for an AYCE. The appetizers were ok but the rolls were amazing. They stayed together and were generously filled. We should have ordered more squid sashimi. I thoroughly enjoyed the bouncy texture. For dessert we added the banana tempura and fried Oreo to the ice cream to make little sundaes.
New Sushi Village is basically Sushi Village for those who are familiar... that said to keep it simple, New Sushi Village is an all you can eat sushi restaurant. This review is going to be like a bowl of alphabet soup. Call it AYCE (All-You-Can-Eat) or SYPH (Stuff-Your-Pie-Hole) or SOFB (Strap-On-the-Feed-Bag) or just HaYO (Hangry Yelpers Only). Whatever you like to call it, the hungrier you are, the better. But keep in mind this is not high end sushi. There are plenty of other places for omakase and this is not it. Since COVID, they added the New to their name and expanded to a covered dining room in the parking lot. I prefer the action of the indoor dining room and the AC in the summer, but you might have to wait. I guess NSV distinguishes themselves from the regular SV out on Long Island, where we also go to SYPH. I think the 2 locations are related, but they do have similarities. The both have parking lots (though the LI one is bigger) and both are renovated from old restaurants/diners. They both have fish tanks as you enter (LI has much bigger fish and cloudier water) and both have sushi bars staffed by a platoon of sushi chefs (usually 4-5). The POP (Pay-One-Price) gets you both sushi & sashimi as well as cooked kitchen dishes that you order from the checklist sheets provided. Drinks are extra, but currently have BTGO (Buy-Two-Get-One) sodas. BTGO doesn't apply to alcohol though. Soup is a good way to start, so we get miso, mushroom or chicken vegetable or all three. Also get spicy kani & seaweed salad. Other appetizers like edamame, shumai, gyoza, crispy calamari, salmon & red snapper fillets, shrimp, chicken, kani & vegetable tempura are all good. The main event lands on your table in the form of huge sushi platters. We get a combo of nigiri, maki & sashimi and our favorites include anything with eel, tuna, salmon & yellowtail. Mix in some cucumber & avocado for a handroll or some of the specialty maki rolls. This is good ol' USA sushi where you don't have to be embarrassed to mix your faux wasabi in your soy sauce or top it with pickled ginger. Finish up the meal with some red bean ice cream, fried oreo & banana. So the next time you stop by, just yell "HaYO!" and they will seat you. You'll get strange stares, but don't pay attention to those DDs (Debbie Downers).

Incredible service, small menu, and loved how they have their own parking lot. Definitely on the pricey side since we paid $75.98 for two adults AYCE plus a $2.50 Sprite no refill came out to $85.45. Service is unbelievably quick. We never had to wait long for dishes or for something to be bussed. There's a bathroom inside in the back but also more bathrooms down the stairs. Food was good, definitely wished there was more variety on the menu especially on the sashimi menu. You get a ton of rice on the sushi which gets you full of quick. Loved how warm the unagi was on a bed of warm rice, or how the salad bowls are pre-chilled. Overall not a bad place and had a great time, just wished there was more variety. read more

Food: 4/5 This was a AYCE sushi restaurant. The quality of food was solid, but inconsistent. Some pieces of fish were colder/less thawed than others. The first order of short rib appetizer was very good, but the second order was all fat. Service: 4/5 Service was good. They work pretty quickly. They missed a few items we ordered and was never brought out. Ambiance: 3/5 It is freezing cold in there! We had to wear our winter coats during dinner. It would've been nice if they turned the heat up more. read more

So good! AYCE on weekday for ~$36pp (before tax/tip) A lot of options to choose from between appetizers, sashimi, sushi, and regular/special rolls. Must get dessert: fried Oreos + ice cream. I like to cut up the Oreo into 4s to get the perfect bite with a spoon full of ice cream. read more

Quick service and pretty decently priced food. Would come here again. It's a bit busy for dinner but not loud which I like. It's a good deal for AYCE at 35.99 pp. Quality of the sashimi is ok- I do prefer another one in Elmhurst better. read more

If u love salmon sashimi, this is the best spot. All you can eat unlimited salmon sashimi is for real unlimited. Our waitress is super friendly and she takes group picture for us. Restaurant is clean and bathroom is clean. Sushi, hand roll, appetizer,salad, tea, everything dish is so neat and delicious. Also all the food came to our table fast. read more

I came here for the AYCE sushi the other day and it left me a little disappointed. You get as much sushi as you can eat with a 90 minute limit on the buffet. The service is fasts so you will be able to order a few times. The shrimp tempura is just meh. Not anything special. In terms of the actual sushi, I got a rainbow roll and a yummy roll. The yummy roll for hardly yummy. The rainbow was decent. The sushi I liked the most, however, was the eel hand roll. I think next time, I'm just going to order a bunch of hand rolls. The dessert was decent. Nothing super special. As for the ambiance, the place is perfect for a quick lunch with friends. Although, I think next time. First time at the restaurant. Saturday at 630 and we didn't have to wait! Got lucky but i was only with one other person. The staff was extremely accommodating And friendly. Food and service were great! definitely coming back! -if you see this... thanks guys! read more

Decent pricing, decent sushi - it's not the best I've had but it's good for when you just wanna go to town & not worry about the bill. Ample seating indoor or outdoor. Service is attentive, I liked the ice cream for dessert. You're not blown away but can't really complain either. Careful pouring the sake it's pipping hot. Wrap a tissue around it before you grab the bottle. We learned the hard way. This place isn't 4 stars, I would give it 3.5. That is all. read more

Would definitely recommend this all you can eat sushi spot. The sushi was fresh and delicious. Service was on point . They were constantly coming around and taking our order. They also have a special in sake. Buy 2 get one free. The restaurant was not that big but they did have a downstairs with lots of room. read more

For over 20 years, I have been living in the Bayside neighborhood. Today, my friend popped my cherry. I haven't been to an AYCE restaurant for a long time. We had our vaccination card or pass and Photo Id ready for dining inside. I always let the server know about my food allergies. FYI, you will have to pay a surcharge for any food waste! Food: *sharing is caring* Mushroom Soup House Salad Korean BBQ Kalbi - I am in carnivore heaven Bayside Roll - yummy goodness in one bite Edamame - yummy Shrimp Tempura - yummy Pork Katsu - yummy Shumai - yummy Dessert: Red Bean Ice Cream - yummy Note: There are two smaller bathrooms downstairs and one larger bathroom upstairs! Been to sushi village a few times pre-Covid and came here the first time today after they renamed this sushi place as "New Sushi Village". Services were a lot better than before. However, prices increased to $36 per person for All You Can Eat, quite expensive. There have a lot of tempura options but not many sashimi or sushi roll options on the menu compared to other AYCE sushi places that I have been to. I do like their miso soup Hope they can add more stuff to the menu! read more

Come to New Sushi Village for an all you can eat date. Previously known as just Sushi Village I can say that you can tell this place is under new management. The food comes out quicker, and way fresher than before. AYCE prices are $27.99 Monday - Thursday and $29.99 Friday - Sunday. They offer the classics like shrimp tempura, California roll etc. Like all other competitors they do have their special rolls in which they dedicate to the area they are in. Personal favorites when I order from New Sushi Village are: miso soup, shrimp shumai and shrimp tempura. I prefer their classic rolls over their speciality rolls. I always feel like it's too much going on and the profiles don't mesh well. read more
Haven't been back for some years now. Still about the same really nothing great nothing bad. They are just a nice spot in the area that has takeout or dine in for À la cart or buffet. The rolls are pretty good. However the place has been renovated and nice inside and has nice outdoor dining. In general just a good place if you in the mood to have some sushi. Sushi Village is back and "all new"! Updated table seating and added outdoor seating. Fair all you can eat sushi for the price (which we factored in to be about $32/pp Saturday lunch). Let's be real. AYCE sushi you're not get what you pay for. I won't say the food is bad or sub par, I wouldn't come here if that was the case, but you don't really get what you ask for. At first, they present you with two sheets to order what you'd like. The first sheets contains more of the appetizer type dishes (teriyaki, gyoza, Shumai, katsu, Korean bbq, etc) and dessert and the second is the sushi, maki, hand rolls, specialty rolls, etc. Admittedly, I am sushi dumb. I can only recite the ingredients of a California roll by memory. I go by the description. If it sounds good, I'm all for it. We'll order a few rolls at a time. What I've noticed is that you don't always get what you ask for and some are missing ingredients that are part of the description. They will shy you a roll if you ask for two while ordering others. The Kani salad, which is usually stellar, lacked something this time around. The ingredients where in there but taste was missing. It was pretty bland. Actually, very bland. Happy to see they've re-opened but not sure how often ill be back. I rather pay a higher price for better quality and the ingredients I actually want. read more

I haven't seen a children's menu. I've seen a lunch and all-day dining menu. They have high tops for children so maybe if requested they may have one.
