Everything I've ever gotten from here has been delicious and fresh, including their croffles, mochi donuts (my colleagues love them and I frequently bring these for them for birthdays and other special occasions), and drinks. I'm especially fond of their Dalgona latte, which comes with these amazing dalgona sugar chunks and is not too sweet. There has never been a super long line here and service is very efficient. I was really looking forward to trying this place given the rave reviews and because my kids LOVE croffles. Sadly, this was quite disappointing. But despite the experience, I'm willing to give it a second chance. Entered the place past 7:30 and know they probably are winding down and don't have much items left. They have plenty of utensils at the entrance and napkins near the cash register. Came out to $14 and change. Strawberry mochi donut - nice chew, not overwhelmingly sweet and easy to cut through. Good shareable. Frosting was crumbly, guessing this was made earlier which is understandable given the time. Chocolate almond croffle - great. Dipped in chocolate, chewy croffle. Smaller than I thought. Strawberry croffle - started off great. Lovely strawberry cream topping with real strawberry fruit. Cut the croffle in half to share and it came apart very easily with a loud 'crunch.' I thought that was impressive but when i flipped it over by accident, I realized it was because it was BURNT. So disappointing. Lost my appetite afterwards. My hubby asked if it tasted burnt or was it a honey or chocolate glaze on the bottom. Sadly, it was neither. It was a charred taste to it. Decent experience but with the strawberry croffle THAT burnt on both halves of the croffle, it really makes me wonder. Not everyone will flip their item over because it has toppings. One of my colleagues bought Croffle House to my attention, and since it seemed like something (somewhat) unique, I was intrigued. The combination of different bakes tends to create buzz (think the Cronut), and this concoction - called the Croffle - is in similar vein. That being said, I was looking forward to checking them out. A croffle, as they call it, is a combination of a waffle and croissant - these are definitely the star of the menu and CH serves multiple varieties with a number of different toppings. I tried their blueberry one which was topped with a blueberry-flavored cream as well as fresh blueberries. The croffle was good - the bake itself was sturdy which made it easy to handle and able to withstand the toppings; for some reason I thought it was gonna be flimsy like a croissant which wouldn't have been good. The toppings were fresh and not too sweet which I appreciated. I thought it must be good for $6 and I heard great reviews about this place. It was mediocre, croffle was thin, and sort of hallow on the inside, not fluffy at all. The first times I came, I thought this was nothing more than a novelty. Since then, I've ordered from here dozens of times (and never took a decent photo lol). The price has gone up a few times since, and I think it's around $6.50 a croffle now depending on which one you get. Still consistently delicious, though! First thing was my friend had asked for one mochi donut but they gave her two (and she got charged two). The purple yam mochi donut didn't have much of a purple yam flavor and just tasted like white chocolate to me. I didn't really like the mochi donut - the chewiness was good but the topping was hard. The croffles were the star of the show and I enjoyed the blueberry croffle the most. I liked the blueberry flavored cream. The other two croffles had a delicious fresh cream as well. Probably my go to place for a little something sweet in the Murray Hill area. The croffles are sweet but not too sweet. I recently stopped by and saw they had the Dubai chocolate flavor! Really good selection of different croffles, they also have savory croffles as well. My go to flavor is probably the Nutella banana, mainly because bananas are sweet no matter the season. Parking is definitely difficult in the area, there is also no more outdoor patios/cubicles to dine in. Overall staff is great, never had an unpleasant experience. Overall ambience is a cute little cafe with a handful of seating available. Initially when they first opened they sold plants, but that is no longer the case. There are so many croffle shops nowadays, but Croffle House remains one of the first to start the hype and is still my favorite. Ordered the Grape Croffle ($5.49) and Basil Pesto ($4.99). The croffles have a glazed crunchy exterior and a flaky yet fluffy interior. The dessert coffles' cream is not heavy and not too sweet, and the fruits are always fresh.
