This place actually reminds me a lot of the Donut Pub because of how good the donuts are and how fresh the drinks taste. These donuts are fantastic! They are made fresh on the spot. They are perfect sizes. My girls and myself loved every bite we took of these lil duckies lol. So I was in this area for a visit to another establishment and I decided to check out this place to pick up some goodies for my girls. I was greeted by this tall guy with a sweet personality and smile who told me they had been open for about four months and that everything is made to order. I decided to take some pictures because the place was bright and welcoming and not to mention smelled like a bakery. It was beautiful inside. They had plenty of space with some tables to dine in, they had their own merchandise you could purchase, and I decided to get me a cute coffee mug. The place had all these cute Lil ducks around all over the shop. It was very cutesy if that is a word lol. The bathroom was clean. I mean the store was not lacking in anything. The staff was great very attentive and will answer all your questions and offer options if you ask. The donuts come out hot and fresh which I'm actually not a fan of but they are still good. Oh boy. I discovered a donut place near my house that is NOT Dunkin. This was a BAD discovery because Duck Donuts is SO F'N AMAZING that I will be here multiple times a week. There goes my diet! Duck Donuts College Point location is laid out like an ice cream parlor meets that other donut place (with the conveyor belt where you can watch the donuts get made fresh). The place is SPOTLESS and well lit, and the great thing about Duck Donuts is you place your order and THEN they make the donuts fresh for you, and you can watch them go through the conveyor. After they come out of the oil, they are brought to the area that looks like an ice cream toppings bar, and the employees then dip your donuts into icings and toppings based on what you want! When all is said and done, you have yourself a bespoke, warm donut - can you beat that? The donuts are sized so that two donuts should satisfy a normal adult, so try two different toppings! I happened to go in when the owner of this location, Chris, was present, and he was incredibly kind, incredibly passionate, and very much into being a part of the local community - super nice guy. You can tell he is invested in the process for each guest because he even made my donuts himself! Here are the donuts I tried on my first trip to Duck Donuts: Chocolate frosted with sprinkles (10/10), French Toast (11/10), Peanut Butter Oreo (9/10), Cinnamon Sugar (10/10), Maple Bacon with actual bacon on top (11/10), and Traditional Glazed (10/10). What a great addition to the neighborhood! I had such a great first experience! The employee, Chris, was so nice, welcoming, and extremely helpful! He thoroughly explained the menu and how the process works. There were so many options to choose from that it was hard for me to choose. Chris was patient and had great recommendations. My order was perfect! I loved that the donuts are literally made fresh as you are waiting there!! I personally tried the s'mores donut, which was delicious! I've been waiting for this location to open in what feels like forever! They did not disappoint! We ordered the pick your own dozen that came out to a little under $30.00 including tax. There is 1 kiosk which my kids took forever I'm choosing their donuts and even made their own choosing from all the varieties in glaze, toppings and drizzle. Very clean with plenty of seating while you wait for them to make it since it is a made to order. The staff / greeter were all pleasant and looked extremely excited to making our donuts as much as we were excited to taste them! We took the donuts back home and they were super!
