The staff is friendly, the food is good. Portions are satisfying and the prices are reasonable. The ambiance is full fledged diner.

Ambiance 10/10 When I first stepped foot into the restaurant, I instantly got this retro vibe. I just love the color of the seating and how comfortable the atmosphere was. Service: 10/10 The employees were very friendly. They were kind and had a nice smile on their face. That is what customers should be looking for when being approached by waiters or waitresses. They were very helpful with the menu option. Food: 10/10 I started with their hot chocolate with whipped cream. Man! It was delicious. The whipped cream, by the way, is optional. It does not automatically come with the hot chocolate. The texture was just right. I picked a good day to drink hot chocolate. I have also ordered their standard Belgian Waffles with a side of sausage. I have to admit, I was slightly disappointed with the quantity of the waffle. They only give you one. Additionally, you'd have to ask for the butter. Butter does not automatically come with the waffles. The syrup is or at least should already be on the table once you're seated. Even though I only got one waffle, it was delicious. Furthermore, you have the option to add whipped cream to the waffles. They will add the whipped cream to the waffles for you. The same can be applied to pancakes. When all is said and done, they will offer you a blow-pop lollipop. Overall 9.5/10 I will be back. I am unsure if they do reservations. It wouldn't be surprising if they did. Their menu options and pricing were reasonable. read more

Ambiance is straight up diner no frills bronx style. I ordered the triple decker tuna with lettuce tomato sliced hard boiled eggs in between. It comes with fries but attempting to faint heartedly cut out some fatty foods in my life. So I ordered the steamed vegetables , which consisted of big chucks of sliced carrots a few pieces of broccoli and lastly, the white step-child of Broccoli.... Cauliflower. The veggies tasted like they came straight from the can, they were edible, but tasted like no frills army type canned food. I probably should have added some salt. The service was friendly. The guy at the front counter, primarily a Spanish speaking guy but also spoke English took my order at the counter. One thing; the front is for pickups only. There is a sign above your head at this counter that says that. But if you don't look up..who would know! So, what I think they want is, either sit down and order from a server or go to the counter and pick up pre-ordered food. This is so yo don't order from the counter and then find a seat and not give the servers a chance to make their tips. All in all, a decent place for your ordinary diner food. read more

George's is a Top Tier Bronx Diner. The only reason it doesn't get five stars it's because the ambiance isn't "amazing"- again it's a diner in the Bronx. But the breakfast is delicious. They will essentially make whatever you want lol. They even have an iced coffee that's for you if you like more sugar in your coffee than coffee. I hope you're reading that as the compliment it's meant to be. And the staff is always nice. They are pretty attentive l, but they get so busy on weekends so you may have to wait a bit. Ultimately, I'm a George's loyalist. If you love Ellie's in ParkChester, it's only because you've never been here. read more

I have been coming to Georgie's for years now. Nothing short of good diner food. Everyone who has ever eaten here knows there portions are generous, though this has changed a bit, they're still great. Food has always been fresh and comes out in a flash! A few of my favorites are their pancakes / Georgie's special for breakfast, Georgie's salad (Greek style) with crispy chicken cutlet, seasoned fries and I love their triple decker! Honestly, you can't go wrong with any item from the menu. No frills. Just good food and good service. However, the prices have increased slightly. I suppose and understand this is to be expected with Covid still lingering around. * w/ Covid their hrs of operation have changed, call up before going. ** Vaccination checks at door read more

The food taste great, their food plate is epic, they serve a lot of food. The price $$, and The workers are really good. The area is clean and if you should happen to get a table that needs to get wiped down they are quick to wipe it down for you. Bring family and friends, I Always do! read more

On a very chilly Christmas Eve, George's wasn't very full. We were sat right away. Because it was 7' outside, we probably shouldn't have chosen the front glassed in dining area, but we were told it was heated. Nope. It was freezing. Our hit coffee started out steaming and pretty quickly became iced coffee. No matter. We kept our jackets on and enjoyed. All 3 of us tried the 2 egg any style breakfast for $7.25. It comes with toast, fries or home fries, bacon sausage or ham, and a little juice. Lots of food! Really friendly service and if it was a little warmer we would've stayed longer. Best to take an interior table during winter just to be safe. Or order some matzo ball soup with your eggs. read more

Great food and staff. Silverio is the best!! I used to be a regular, and have fond memories. Must return soon.

I ordered an omelette and it tasted terrible. The place is not recommended. The service was OK. The ambience was horrible.

This place is so welcoming, the entire staff is so kind and attentive. I felt like family when I ate here, which was during a very busy time on a Sunday afternoon. I went in expecting to order breakfast, they have an extensive breakfast menu and it all looks delicious. Instead, I was seduced by their more savory lunch and dinner items. I decided on The summer salad and I added chicken to it. It was an amazing salad with greens, blue cheese, apples, dry cranberries, almonds and tomato. The Lipsmacker wrap was super filling and came with such a huge portion of crispy fresh waffle fries that it could easily be split by two people. I also ordered the appetizer size plate of spinach pie. I was stuffed beyond belief and still had food to take home with me P.S the salad tasted really delicious the next day as well. I plan on returning for breakfast as soon as possible and sampling the cheesecake on the dessert menu can't wait to dine in again! read more

One of the best diners hands down! I would come here often as my school was down the block. Breakfast and lunch this place was my stop! We would take turns making runs over to George's! I found myself thinking about it today as I no longer live in the Bronx and while the diners in LI are great none compare to George's. Everything I've eaten has been amazing! Their seasoned French fries a must! Chicken fingers and their honey mustard yum!!! I love their sandwiches! Their BLT is the best! Fresh and packed full of delicious bacon! I mean the amount they put woozer! Packed full of goodness! They give you plenty of food here so you can easily share a dish! Finally recommend this diner! read more

Was in the area for a basketball showcase for one of my kids and staying in a hotel we were looking for something for breakfast before the event. We came across George's as the Yelp reviews were amazing. I called and placed my order via telephone which was a breeze and the guy on the other end was very pleasant as I could tell they were busy (good sign). My food was ready in the promised time. I found a place to park out front and ran inside to pick it up. The place was clean and the food smelled so amazing. The woman at the register helped me immediately and asked what I ordered and she rang me up and I was out the door. My daughter ordered the Belgium waffle and my goodness she said it was the softest and best tasting waffle she has had. The fruit cup is hands down the freshest fruit cup you can get anywhere! The fruit literally looked as if it were just cut (bananas, blueberries and strawberries). A must do if you are in the Bronx as I will definitely be back! read more

This is my go to spot for breakfast when I feel like splurging for something good. I've had omelettes, grilled cheese, soups, French toast with banana and strawberries, mozzarella sticks etc.... Quesadilla was a bit large but good... You are always greeted with a smile, there is ample seating & the place gets busy. Better pay the meter in this area. The staff is always good with the orders, and the cooks crank out the food in no time. There are 3 bathrooms in rear. All around great place compared to other diners in the area. read more

Very nice family oriented eatery in the Bronx. Staff is very welcoming, and as a customer u feel welcomed and appreciated. The food is fresh, hot and delicious. I ordered a beef gyro, my son had spaghetti and meatballs, my husband had quesadillas. The restaurant is clean and spacious. The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is because I ordered my food to go. When I got home, I noticed my order of spaghetti was not included, and my husband had to make a second trip to the restaurant to pick up the spaghetti. Nonetheless, I highly recommend this restaurant, which is a gem in the Bronx! By all means, stop by for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Tell em Dez sent ya!!! read more

George's Diner & Cafe - George's super grilled chicken salad with Italian dressing. Lots of chicken and toppings under the lettuce. - Diners Near Me - Bronx, New York

George's produce suppliers must be living that fat cat life judging from the gargantuan salads served here. Their salads have effectively prevented me from even thinking about their other entrees despite how affordable they are, especially for a diner. From observing other patrons during my two visits here, I'm sure I won't be disappointed by their entrees...that is if I can ever get past their salads. Another cozy hole-in-the-wall classic Bronx diner keeping my review short and to the point. You may go now. read more
