First time at this location was years ago after a night out bar hopping to have food super late at night. It was great food but very slow service. Second time was more recently after a burial at Saint Raymonds. It's a short drive from the cemetery and they were able to accommodate our fairly large group. Sucks to say I will never order from this diner ever again. I ordered from Grubhub and I'm pretty picky with my diners so being that I saw good reviews I figured a burger can't be cooked wrong..well hopefully not. Pro is that the food came on time but then there were way more cons! First the bacon cheese burger tasted bland and the waffles fries tasted bland as well. The cheeseburger tasted blah and the fries were soggy and I had asked for well done! The vegetables were soggy too! Smallest pickle slice I've have ever been served and the coleslaw even tasted off. Having been here a few times I think 4 stars is pretty appropriate. The food isn't exactly anything you'd go out of the way for but...it's a diner so expect decent diner food. The staff are very friendly, and I've never had to wait for a table even though it tends to get crowded sometimes. The interior is a bit small compared to some others but for the price, staff, and food this is my go to diner in the area over the others. -Bacon Egg & Cheese sandwich: 3.5/5, a breakfast staple made pretty well here. Compared to some other nearby options I'd say this was definitely the better one. I added sausage to the sandwich last time which I probably won't do again. The sausage wasn't great quality and kind of reminded me of cheap hotdogs. -Chicken Parm Sandwich: 3.5/5, definitely better than some others I've had, the chicken cutlets tasted fresh, and the sauce was surprisingly very good. Again, while the food isn't amazing..it's definitely decent & reasonably priced. I came here today with my girlfriend after our morning run. We made up for all our burned calories with a couple omelets, turkey sausage and pancakes that we shared. She had the Mexican omelet with tomatoes, onions and jalapeños. It was tasty and spicy but I would have liked some monterrey jack cheese in it. I had the spinach and feta omelet and added some mushrooms. It was nice and the feta was not too overpowering. Each of our omelets came with hash browns and toast, which we both subbed for English muffins. We also shared an order of pancakes with turkey sausage. That dish was not the best that I've had at a diner, as simple as it is. The pancakes are good but whatever syrup they use tastes wrong, like it was sugar-free or something. It completely ruined my pancake so I left it alone. The turkey sausages were a little too watery and the hash browns with my omelet were seasoned well but dry AF ans could have used some chopped onion and peppers like I've had at other places. On the upside, the service is really good. As soon as we sat our server came to offer drinks and take our order. They came often to refill my tea and my girlfriend's coffee and to see if we needed anything. I ordered some sandos for the boys, a Philly cheesesteak with curly fries for my son and a turkey triple decker with classic fries for hubby. Hubby liked his sandwich but my son gave a 3/5 for his. Both meals came with a choice of soup which was nice but the price tag for just the sandwiches was over 30 bucks; kind of insane for a diner. I came here a long time ago with my husband and never reviewed but we don't come often because it's very out of the way from where we live. We were likely visit his family who lives in the area. Visited on a Sunday Morning around 10:30. We waited inside for about 5 minutes before a table was ready for us. After sitting down we were quickly served coffee and ice water. The menu is HUGE but we stuck with breakfast. The feta spinach omelette was amazing, home-fries were on point, and the rye toast was awesome. The food came out really fast, probably within 5-10 min. Dear Martha, One night, about a week ago, I found myself far away from home and deep behind enemy lines in the Pelham Bay Section of the Bronx. I had blindly followed our party leader to the nearby Mamajuana Cafe a few blocks away. After a long, physically, demanding night of mixing it up with the locals, we decided to make our way home, having accomplished the mission in celebratory fashion. Everyone else requested Uber Evac and something like three of them dusted off with most of the party. I made certain that the last damsel boarded the final transport out and then I proceeded to make my way on foot. I had hoped to catch the 04:16 No. 6 Locomotive out of the area. I could see the trestles when I saw unfortunately I saw the locomotive pull into the station. I knew I was going to miss it and that meant I had to hunker down for at least an hour. Fortunately, I saw the light on at a small establishment on the side of the road, Tremont Diner. I ordered an omelet with jalapenos and silver dollar pancakes with strawberries. The food was quite savory and sweet respectively. The patron and staff treated me well and moved with efficiency. The respite rejuvenated me and I felt ready to continue my journey home. Belly filled, I once again ventured out into the night to catch the next locomotive hoping not to run into any hostiles. Luck was on my side and I made it back to Brooklyn by sunrise. I write to you to let you know that I am safe and will soon be in your arms. Our neighbors have always raved about how great the food is here. So after a fast early morning 2.5hr drive from one of our staycation spots, we opted for a change of pace and decided to come here for the very first time. Sunday morning parking was easily found as there is street parking and a large parking lot directly across from the diner. Upon entering the diner it was already packed, with the exception of one remaining booth waiting for us. Our busboy came over immediately with our water and then our waitress took our orders directly after. It was clear that the staff are pleasant, fast and efficient. Breakfast was served to our booth within less than 10mins of us ordering...that's some fast short-order cooking! We ordered diner favorites of pancakes and eggs, with corned beef hash. My beau enjoyed his pancakes, I on the other hand prefer my pancakes 'cakey' and not 'spongey', but that's really nothing to complain about at all. What's the bottom line? This is your average run-of-the mill diner, nothing about it stands out but it's not a bad place to eat. I've dined here a few times and have never had a bad experience. The place has a warm feeling to it and it's very clean, the staff is also very friendly. A plus is this place has a huge parking lot in the back. The food is average - not bad but not stellar. It is what it is and honestly it's exactly what it should be for a small diner. If you're looking for something more sophisticated then you should probably go somewhere else. We don't frequent diners much, but when we do, we choose Tremont. They are a much smaller diner then the 2 that I used to patronize. They have the same menus as the others. What I do like about this diner, is that they have some "breakfast specials " where as the other places, are ala carte. Therefore, breakfast for 2, can end up costing us $35.00. Which isn't even that good. Here, the service is on the money, the food was great and they had a nice special. 2 eggs with hash browns for $9.95! With toast, juice! Can't beat that. read more

Pleasantly Pleased Stopped in hungry one night when I didn't feel like cooking. Ordered 3 eggs, toast, french fries, and coffee. The French fries were done to perfection. Yay! Crispy and hot. The eggs, over easy were also perfect. The toast too. Not burned, toasted just right. The coffee was so good, and the waitress gave me a refill as soon as my cup was empty. Snow day lunch at a diner we've never been too. And upon arrival seems like your typical diner. We ordered a Greek salad and lentil soup, tuna wrap and a beef brisket sandwich. All comfort foods and nothing too fancy. Here's the run down, Tuna wrap was good and the wrap was not soggy, huge portion so half was taken home. The lentil soup was OK, with a nice flavor but not hearty with a lot of lentils. The Greek salad was perfect with the right amount of feta, olives, tomatoes, salad. The dressing came on the side and was very good. This also was huge and I took 3/4 home. The brisket was OK, a little dry, but the gravy on the side was good and made up for it. All in all a good experience and I would return. Their own parking lot was a plus as well, especially on this snowy day. Two downers were that they did not serve wine and the waitress was a tad bit snobby with us. Remember if you want the tastyladies happy, there must be wine and serve with a smile! read more
