Breakfast with Bae! Came here on a Tuesday morning. We were able to snag a booth towards the rear of the restaurant. After sitting for what felt like 2mins the waiter came over to take our order. I hadn't even opened the menu yet LOL. I told him we weren't ready and needed some more time. After a few minutes we were ready to place the order so I flagged him down. 5 minutes after he came over to take our order. I had the steak & eggs and my BF had pancakes with eggs and bacon. Overall the meals were decent BUT babyyyyyy within a few hours both of our stomachs were doing the Harlem Shake. I can only assume it was from the eggs because that's the only thing we had the same. The breakfast almost took us out. LOL

Ordered a chicken parm dish from here for delivery and the portion size was huge - definitely enough for two very filling meals. What you get is pretty worth the price you pay. The spaghetti noodles weren't my fave but the chicken was very juicy and cooked well. The flavor of the sauce was great and there seemed to be just the right amount of cheese. I only wish the salad came with a side of dressing, but all the veggies tasted fresh!

Good morning DA BRONX! Hunger pangs at 7:55 AM urge me for breakfast. Turkey sausage comes with eggs in any style, potatoes, and toast with butter culminate a worthy $7.50. Service is efficient and the cooks hustle and bustle efficiently and orderly behind the counter. I walked in to place my order after briefly scanning the takeout menu and within a mere five minutes my meal was in my hands. Whoa! Portions are abundant and I engulf the whole platter at my workplace in one sitting. Solid. The server/cashier is bilingual in English and Spanish to serve the Kingsbridge/Marble Hill area of the Bronx. The cashier appears to work hard and did not give me any rude scowl looks, despite of the obvious, that I am not local to this area. Priced reasonable. Dale Restaurant dba Louie's has a charming old fashioned diner atmosphere of a 1940 or 1950's Retro look with booths and in-ground circular stools. Opens 24/7 and walking distance from the 1 train at 231st Street station.

Love this place ! I'm moving soon and think this is one of the places I'll miss the most from this area . It's your typical nyc diner- very cute and has a 50s charm ! I feel like diners are so unique to nyc and it's such a nice experience . This one is cleans and the staff is nice ! The food is ok nothing amazing or anything but it's good. I usually get breakfast food here so can't comment much but the hubs always tries different things . The burgers are supposedly good . Coffee is good and they keep refilling it for you. The staff is really really nice and friendly. I like their omelette plates and choices . And love bringing people here! I went to another diner near the place I moved to and it just wasn't the same . The portion sizes, the choices , the food , the staff . So believe the reviews, come here this is a happy place :) and don't get mad that the food is just typical and normal that's what diners are for !

Service: 10/10 The employees were very friendly. They were kind and had a nice smile on their face. That is what customers should be looking for when being approached by waiters or waitresses. They were very helpful with the menu option. Food: 10/10 I started with their hot chocolate with whipped cream. Man! It was delicious. The whipped cream, by the way, is optional. It does not automatically come with the hot chocolate. The texture was just right. I picked a good day to drink hot chocolate. I have also ordered their standard Belgian Waffles with a side of sausage. I have to admit, I was slightly disappointed with the quantity of the waffle. They only give you one. Additionally, you'd have to ask for the butter. Butter does not automatically come with the waffles. The syrup is or at least should already be on the table once you're seated. Even though I only got one waffle, it was delicious. Furthermore, you have the option to add whipped cream to the waffles. They will add the whipped cream to the waffles for you. The same can be applied to pancakes. When all is said and done, they will offer you a blow-pop lollipop. Overall 9.5/10 I will be back. I am unsure if they do reservations. It wouldn't be surprising if they did. Their menu options and pricing were reasonable.

It looks like, and kind of feels like, a diner, but it's so much more. We were super excited to find Latin American cuisine favorites that we love and don't often find near home. I had a Cuban Medianoche sandwich that was served on absolutely excellent bread, with curly fries. My husband, the carnivore, ended up with some kind of multiple meat sandwich that came on the same amazing roll. (Before you think it's weird for me to rave about the ROLL, where we live in central PA, there is no good bread. Just saying!) I also had to get an order of tostones because I love them so much. They came with a garlic sauce that was intense and delicious. The service was friendly and attentive. I got the impression that this is a neighborhood joint with lots of regulars. There was lots of chatter and conversation among the people around us. Seriously, if you need food in the Bronx, this place is a great place to eat.

The Sangria Cafe is quite a place and has excellent service. I had my mind set on ordering…read morenonfortified red sangria, but discovered they only have brandy or other liquor infused sangria they make in small batches. You cannot order a fresh carafe or pitcher of sangria with the fruit in it here, which is what I was expecting from a place headlining sangria. So your experience of the Sangria Cafe for sangria will come down to whether you like yours fortified. I like my sangria freshly made to order with just the wine and chopped fruit, but you may have a better experience at Sangria Cafe if you prefer fortified sangria. So the Manager, Elios, was superb. He told me he would let me taste the red, white and lychee versions to see which one I preferred. Given they are all fortified to an extent, I chose to order margaritas. I prefer mezcal margaritas, but they did not have mezcal at the time. So I went with the tequila classic. It was good and I had it to go for my evening at a cigar lounge. I also ordered food to go: the French cut pork chops with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus and the braised beef short rib with small potatoes and broccoli. Here's a twist: the food was better than the adult beverage at a place emphasizing the latter. At all times, my server, Hector, was superb in his own right. Service is probably the strong suit at Sangria Cafe, followed by the food. The French cut pork chops taste like they have been marinated or at least brined. You will eat these down to the bone and you will pick up those bones to clean them. The garlic mashed potatoes were great too, but the asparagus was a bit overcooked. On balance, this $30 dish was satisfying and would have been better had they included a little gravy on the side for the mashed potatoes. The beef short rib at $38 was even tastier. I appreciate the chef took the time to get a good cut of short rib and trimmed the excess fat down to a leaner cut. The meat is inherently marbled with fat, so the flavor is already going to be as present as the savory tenderness. If you dine at a restaurant where there is excess fat on the beef short rib, know the chef there is not putting in the work to trim all that fat. Coudos to the chefs in the Sangria Cafe kitchen for their trimming work. This is even better than the pork chops and you'll savor every bite. The broccoli was overcooked here, so the chefs could restrain themselves on the cooking time for the veggies. The small potatoes were perfect and what is not to like about marbled beef and potatoes. Here they have a little gravy with cooked onions to add to the savory pleasure. The Sangria Cafe is a great place to come with friends. This place will see lots of action as the weather warms. The atmosphere is upbeat and the music is in full swing. This is a Latino and Afro Latino crowd. The kitchen and service are very good here. Perhaps I'm in the minority preferring nonfortified sangria, but I wish that were an option with the chopped fruit in it. Perhaps the majority prefers the fortified hit, but it would be nice to have it more relaxed with just the wine as summer approaches or at any time of the year. Please keep the mezcal in stock as SOP for the mezcal margs. Thanks to Elios, Hector and the chefs in the kitchen. 3.5 stars.
