I lived in the Bronx since 2010.. my Dad put me on to Cosmo's breakfast. This place is nostalgic.. so I usually get the Belgian Waffle but i wanted some diff today. Grits , eggs , bacon & toast. The grits were fireee! 10/10 consistency. The eggs were good. Just needed a lil salt nd pepper. The bacon was ok. Could've been crispier. I also got a coffee & unfortunately it came out warm. Not hot, so I had to drink it fast. I love this small shop tho. It's consistent & been around for years. They won't disappoint. read more

I can not believe Cosmos is still around. When I was a 6-7 yr old boy my grandma took us to this diner after church every Sunday. It was great then (1958) and it's still great. My Grandma knew the Cosmos. I am 70 yrs old. read more

a small decent greek american diner in the bronx on tremont ave that serves the typical breakfast , lunch and dinner menu with breakfast being my favorite cause i only every had breakfast during my many visits during my bronx living years . the hungry man plate which comprises of eggs , sausage, waffles , homefries and toast is a good way to fill your belly for more then a few hours and even now during my latest visit the portions are still above average and prices wont dent your wallet. glad this neighborhood diner is still around and its haves not skipped a beat after all these years . read more

Yo!!! I went to visit the city for my birthday weekend & we ate here EVERYDAY! It was small & cozy but don't let that fool you. It's definitely a busy diner with amazing fresh food. The first day I was a bit hungover so didn't get to finish my food. However I ordered the exact same thing the second day and I can assure you there was not a single crumb left on my plate. Their omelette and house potatoes are everything!!! Our last day there, I had to test out the pastrami croissants of course! Needless to say, I was a happy camper with a full belly & a cream cheese puff to go! What's up?! Can't get better than that. I will eat here every time I go back to the Bronx! So In Love with this place! I was wishing I could bring it back to Houston with me! Unfortunate, no pix because I was too busy honestly just stuffing the hell out of my face. read more

Cozy spot in the south east section of the Bronx. Been coming here since a kid in the 70's. Still return on ocassion when I visit my family. Great service great comfort food and really clean bathroom. (That's a good sign.) Hasn't really changed much through the years. Kind of a hometown fixture. Home fries and eggs are delicious. Hamburgers and other sandwiches are killer! Good to see they're still rocking and rolling after so many years. read more

I come to Cosmos pretty frequently. It's your typical neighborhood diner. The wait staff is very friendly and attentive, at this usually very hectic location. There's nothing special about food, outside of its convenience. The menu lacks variety and options, but this is the perfect spot to grab a quick breakfast or burger, if you are in the neighborhood. read more

Great efficient diner. Want delicious filling breakfast anytime of the day? Go to cosmos for cheap prices good hearty portions. I'm almost reluctant to tell people about my little gem but they deserve the business. My boyfriend does the whole sit back rub stomach and says "Oh my God, that is soo good" it really is. Lunch also has good portions and also tasty. You get the works! Great service. read more

Well the food is pretty good here . I have been going here for about 15 years and like it . Over the years the menu and overall place has gone through a revolution. its one of the only places in the neighborhood where they have healthy choices like veggie/fruit smoothies, salads and other fresh stuff. Its like an old type of diner with a new menu. The wait staff is real nice but they only take cash as of now. I just went and noticed they have mexican dishes. !! YAY.. read more

You can't go wrong with Cosmos . I have been coming since childhood and still come as an adult . Amazing breakfast and it's done before you can blink . Only missing a star because it is cash only but other than that best and cheapest breakfast you can get in the Bronx , most come with free coffee and orange juice ! Steal ! read more

My mom enjoyed her Mousaka and said it had the perfect amt of cinnamon and spices- she ate the whole plate- she's usually a "take half home" eater- but said she wished she had ordered the salad as it looked fresh and light- and she felt full after the heavier Mousaka Maybe Mousaka for dinner, salads for lunch and brunch!

I'm used to getting ravioli from an Italian Superstore that's dotted across Long Island. Good? Yeah maybe but what I grew up with? Nah. I'm in The Bronx and I'm going to stop at Borgatti's Ravioli for our Sunday dinner. Walking into the store, it's very small. There are high glass partitions, no touching just pointing. I see the various pastas and ravioli but I want the big suckas. Small ravioli? C'Mon! I made the best red sauce that I will drown these raviolis in a sea of tomatoes. The small raviolis just can't swim in my pot! The older gentleman behind the counter asks if he can help me. I ask him to open the box and actually show me the larger ravioli. Oh baby, they are large and in charge. Why I walked out with one box still boggles my mind because I should have bought 3. I'm not in the area too often and the extra boxes would have carried me through the winter. I hand over my cash and the gentleman says God Bless to me. I'm not getting blessings on Long Island! When I came home, my wife made the perfect Sunday dinner. Those raviolis came straight from the 70s. Simply perfect. God Bless us, everyone.

What a wonderful spot for you to explore…read more We wanted to take our friend out to dinner for his birthday he likes a low key style. We called a head since it was 6 of us to see if we could do a walk in or if we needed a reservation , and both options are available which is a plus. Dress attire is your choice we dressed regular nothing fancy just day to day hang out style. We were greeted kindly by the staff sat down handed a set of dominoes to play with while we waited for our food and drank some water. The place is decorated nicely and you can see the vision in mind definitely. We placed our orders and I'm not gonna lie I came in thinking the food was gonna be eh but I was blown away by the flavors. For drinks we ordered a spicy sunset, pretty young thing and cokes. The spicy sunset is a nice strong drink and is rimmed nicely with just the right amount is tajin as you drink it; it has a nice smoky after taste to it definitely was delicious. The pretty young thing was a nice citrusy drink with a little salty aftertaste, which balanced out the flavor nicely. The cokes were not water down they were good as well. For food we ordered the Cuban sandwich with parmesan fries, butter chicken wings, butter chicken macaroni and cheese, steak nachos grande, butter chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and mom's butter chicken platter. This was a wonderful Spanish and Indian style combination of flavors. Definitely my first time having this type of food and wow what a mind blowing experience. Not one person in the table complained or had anything negative to say about their food. We all tried each other's food and each bite we exchanged to try was delicious and better than the last . The Cuban was delicious but the parmesan fries stole the show from that meal it was paired so lovely who would've thought those flavors would've mixed nicely. The buttery chicken wings oh my God dripping with goodness each bite was legit finger licking good lol. The butter chicken macaroni very very delicious. Had a nice cheese pull and a good balance could not stop eating it. The steak nachos were delicious I wish It had a little more meat, but it was not bad. The butter chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries also delicious and the fries were cooked so nicely that it was crispy and soft at the same time per bite. The mom's butter chicken platter was delicious they gave the right amount of sauce, the pita bread was delicious and soft, the salad that it was paired with was good too the rice was decently portioned. Everything was definitely tasty. Not one complaint of any of the meals. We did not wait long for the food. Bathrooms were nice and clean. I want to come back to try more things in the menu that's how good the food was and our group agreed to also come back with us. This spot is definitely a place to try. They have a beautiful quote right near the bar that really spoke to us, especially during these times it said "you are exactly where you need to be." It makes you stop for a second and really take it in and just live in the moment ... especially living in New York, where you have to be always go go go fast fast fast. This was really beautifully written thank you to the staff who made our night and our friend's birthday special we'll see you soon.

I like my eggs scrambled and this was kinda of a flattop melted with cheese. The French toast was kinda like I could make it myself. Not the best breakfast I have had. The appetizer I had was great though. The tostones were just the right amount of crops and the sauce on top of the sausage and potato bites was the right about of kick. Service was fast as it was not much people in the establishment when we went.

I am a regular customer at this local diner, where I always opt for takeout. The quality of their food consistently stands out, especially their delectable waffles that are consistently soft and satisfying. My typical order usually consists of eggs and waffles, occasionally accompanied by a tuna dish that, to be honest, is just average. However, during my most recent visit, I was somewhat disappointed to receive only one egg alongside a colossal waffle that practically monopolized the entire platter. While I do observe many individuals relishing their meals at this establishment, I must confess that the atmosphere does not quite align with my personal preferences. Furthermore, there have been a few occasions where I have witnessed some dubious characters frequenting this place, which leaves me feeling slightly uneasy about dining in.
