The place…read moregives off vibes that a next generation family member associated with Great East had an idea to expand their offerings and set up shop to make well crafted boba drinks. The young person running it was very friendly. I appreciate the entrepreneurship and of course the local feel to this place. What brought me in was an IG story about the classic Ice Rice - I love this style of refreshing dessert. An assortment of jelly, boba, fruit and peanuts in a slightly sweetened "soup". I enjoy it very much. I found the ingredients very fresh and enjoyed the crushed ice mound making all things chill. I spoke with the young person and asked them if they every considered brown sugar syrup in this. They explained this is the more refreshing style and that their milk tea version might be what I am after. When I inquired I was thinking of one of my favorite Szechuan ice jelly (Bing Fen) they serve at the Queens Night Market - it has no sticky rice, similar ingredients, but they use a brown sugar syrup instead (no milk tea). Besides all that Great East Boba's version is Fuzhou inspired, not Szechuan. No matter, I am game to try and will next time I am in the area.

What a great accompaniment to the take out restaurant!…read more While waiting for my food, I looked at the drink menu and the passion fruit tea options caught my eye. I opted for the passion fruit duo, which comes with the green tea base and boba + lychee jelly. Staff noticed that their lychee jelly stock was running low and offered other options to replace it. I chose to add the aloe vera and she even gave me the last of the lychee jelly! Very generous and such great customer service. Tip: for this drink combo, try it without any additional sugar. The passion fruit, boba, and lychee jelly are already sweetened and can satisfy any sweet tooth you have.

I ordered a mango pomelo- requested extra coconut milk and an original egg waffle. These were probably the worse things I've ever had at a bubble tea shop. The "mango pomelo" is basically a mango smoothie that tasted diluted with barely any mango flavor- where's the coconut milk? There's no diced mango pieces either. The egg waffle was horrible- burnt, very dry, salty and not sweet- how is this a dessert? My daughter was like- no wonder why there's nobody in there, it's so bad, we're never coming back again. And I agree.

They even have board games for customers, so it's an appropriate spot if you'd like to chill with your friends! I went with my friend and we got the Veggie Momo ($12), the Paneer Momo ($13) and drinks. The Momos are shareable and each order has 8 pcs, along with hot sauce, sweet chili sauce and a yogurt sauce for dips. My favorite dip was the sweet chili sauce. I was pretty excited for the Paneer Momos and they didn't disappoint me. We also got the Iced Passion Fruit Green Tea and the Kulfi Falooda Milk Tea with Boba ($8.85, you need to pay an extra $1 for the Boba). I tried the Kulfi Falooda and it had strong floral flavors that felt a bit overpowering for me. It didn't taste bad and was definitely a new experience. Once the ice melted, it diluted the drink and then tasted better.

When I walked in, I only got a quick "hi" and wasn't really acknowledged until after another customer was helped. To be fair, there was only one employee working and she seemed to be doing her best, so this felt more like a management issue than an employee problem. The biggest disappointment was being told they were out of the white/yogurt sauce after I already paid for the momos. That sauce is kind of essential to the dish, so it made the experience feel incomplete. Inventory and communication could definitely be improved. The deal was advertised as 16 it was closer to 18. The atmosphere also felt very empty and quiet. I honestly think this place would benefit from more community events, poetry nights, music, or something to bring more life and energy into the space. I still appreciate what they're trying to do and I do want to support small culturally diverse businesses. There's potential here, but right now the experience feels a bit subpar and unpolished. I'd still come back in the future to see if things improve.

We found the combination of drinks and rice balls makes it a practical option when we are already in the mall and want something light without committing to a full sit down meal. The onigiri are the stronger part of what the stall offers. We tried the spicy pork belly rice ball, which gets consistent positive attention for good reason. The filling was generous and well seasoned, and the rice held together cleanly without falling apart. The two onigiri with a drink combo is the most sensible way to order when coming in hungry. The rice balls are compact and travel well if you are moving through the mall rather than stopping to eat in place. The drink menu covers a range of categories including fresh milk teas, flavored milks, and boba options with milk alternatives available. The brown sugar boba milk tea is the most popular item on the drinks side, but our experience was mixed. The tea flavor came through lighter than expected and not that enjoyable, and for a large drink at around $7 to $8, the value felt underwhelming relative to other bubble tea options in the area. The fruit teas were alright, but leaned a little too sweet and artificial for our taste. Service is straightforward given the food court setting, with orders prepared at the counter and called out when ready. There is no real seating at the stall itself, so plan to eat while walking or find a common table elsewhere in the food court. For a quick onigiri snack with a drink on the side, I'Milky works decently if you focus on the rice balls and adjust expectations on the tea. We would come back for the spicy pork belly rice ball combo and skip the fruit teas.
