I had to take out the tea bag after a while with how strong of a taste it had. The Autumn Chestnut Earl Grey Cake was not too sweet. I do wish there was more Earl Grey flavor, but I'm a huge fan of extra bergamot Earl Grey. There was more cream than cake (see cross section picture), so that cut down on the Earl Grey flavor as well. The chestnut flavor was good on the cream on top, though I wish there was more of it. I've gone to Mango Mango manyyyy times at their various locations. They do specialize in their mango desserts, which you can't do wrong with. I personally prefer any of their sago options cause the sago is a great contrast in texture and the juices are always so creamy. Inside is pretty spacious, lots of seating and not many customers. It's also very bright inside and pretty quiet. The staff member actually takes your order and brings it to you. When I came during Winter, it was pretty cold inside, as if there was no heat on so I had to wear my jacket the whole time. I was craving warm desserts on my most recent visit so I decided to get their almond paste and black sesame paste soups. I'd skip these next time around. They were thick at first, as they should be, but watered down pretty quick. It's definitely best eaten within like the first 5 minutes. We also added peanut mochi and black sesame mochi which were made to the right consistency, lovely chew on the outside and yummy filling, but also best eaten quickly. I am happy that Mango Mango opened a location on Bell Blvd. The space is surprisingly large, especially when I compare it to the Downtown Flushing location where it was always crowded and cramped inside. Although I enjoy Mango Mango's desserts it always made me pass because of the hassle of the wait. Perhaps in time the Bell Blvd location will become that way, (They have open space and benches in front for future anticipated waits) but for now the experience was perfect. I love that they have table service compared to many dessert/tea spots that only have counter service and then you have to try to luck out with a table - more relaxing experience this way. Booths on one side and tables on the other - a communal table in the center can accommodate a large group, which worked out perfectly for a group 9 that came in while I was there. I did a mobile order through the Mango Mango app for pick up and when I arrived, the staff greeted me with a smile asking if I'm picking up. They were so friendly and nice! The restaurant looked very modern, spacious, and clean with cute decor. My drinks (coconut mango smoothie and taro bubble milk tea) were made to perfection. The walnut paste soup was not bad, it tasted like walnut mixed with black sesame and had rice? in it.
