I am not a bubble tea connoisseur (yet), but I do really enjoy my experience whenever I frequent this Kung Fu Tea location. I always go for the iced mango green tea with tapioca pearls at a 100% sweetness level. I also make sure to specify that I want light ice. Even with the full sweetness, the drink is refreshing and delicious. The pearls have a great texture and consistency with a nice chew. The workers are also very friendly and work quickly. I have never had bubble tea. My kids love it so because of that simple fact while outside with my two younger sisters picking up takeout and snacks for my family we strolled in to get some drinks for my teens who were back home waiting. What a nice Mom I am. Between us we ordered some milk tea honey something or the other for them and one of the girls got lemonade something -which one person said was too sweet and I'm not sure what the 3rd person got. It's clean and spacious inside and one of my sisters garnet been back since Covid hit so she was happy we could go inside. Parking is impossible but we snagged one a block away. And just FYI it's actually open until 9. There was a perplexed couple undecided with the menu when we first got in so a little but of a wait but not too bad. This is purely a review of the service at this establishment. The person who took my order repeated my order twice (hot oolong tea with bubbles, no sugar). Howeverended with a wrong drink. When I let the staff know, the person (guy) making the drink carried a bit of an attitude stated you ordered a oolong milk tea with bubbles. I corrected him and said "I ordered an oolong tea with bubbles" twice because he just stared me the first time. Instead of just acknowledging and saying let me make you a new drink. He grabbed my wrong drink and dumped it with such force into the sink. The drinks are always on point, and can be customized in a variety of ways like the percentage of sweetness, toppings (boba, jelly, etc), and the amount of ice. Not the most accessible area by car because it can be difficult to park on Bell Blvd and the surrounding areas. This location on Bell Blvd. sets apart from the rest -- in that they sell Bruce Lee figures, their own branded clothing and baseball caps, tins of tea leaves, random things for gifting, and fun swag. Since I've frequented this chain plenty of times, my family and I tend to lean towards the same drinks. We know what we like. I went about 20 minutes past the pick up time and there was a crowd around the door. There was also a shower curtain in the doorway and they were getting orders based on the last four digits. The honey boba milk tea was really good but definitely don't store in the fridge because the boba will harden. I did put less ice and regular ice in two of the drinks but it looked like they both had the same amount. It's super new and squeaky clean on the inside! Menu is large and completely customize-able. Tea does not look to be made from icky powder, but brewed with occasional syrup added. Ordered a Medium winter melon, half sugar with bubbles. Ohhhh their tapioca was soft, chewy and some of the best balls I've ever had! However, I didn't love the flavor so much. Winter melon didn't quite jive with me. Maybe something more fruity next time.. or a milk tea if it's dessert time for Steph. I also missed the national free bubble tea event by one day.
