I ordered ahead on chowbus and it said my order would be ready at 3:13PM today. When I arrived, I saw that it was so many people and I took a seat since I was early and I didn't see my order under the ready screen. My number was 282 I waited and at 3:14PM, I saw my drinks were ready on the ready screen. I went up to the counter and asked if it was ready and I was told it wasn't yet. So then I took a seat again and waited. I started hearing them call numbers and they were at 274 so I just sat and waited. Eventually, I heard 284 and 285 so I went up to ask if my order was ready and it still wasn't which didn't make sense to me as my number was prior. I then waited again and I heard them calling numbers in the 290's and I asked again and it wasn't ready. At this point, I had to leave. After about 20 minutes, I came back and figured my drink would be ready but I didn't see it anywhere. I then got on line at the ordering register and asked the person there. He checked and saw that it was never made so he immediately got it ready. I truly appreciate him for that In terms of the drink. It is average. There is nothing special about it and definitely not worth waiting 45 minutes for. You definitely taste the mango, coconut and pomelo. However, I didn't taste or notice the mochi at all. I will probably not be returning here Also, my drink doesn't look like the picture on the menu so maybe it was missing something in the bottom layer

I think this is the best boba spot in bayside! Taste is always consistent and the service is efficient. Packaging is usually in a cute pink bag that's comparable to Molly Tea's. They also have been regularly running promotions for free stuff which keeps me coming

Matcha Latte and Snow Top Orchid Blanc Light Milk Tea with Brown Sugar Boba

My son & I have been wanting to try this place since they opened 2 months ago so we decided to stop by here after dinner. Ordered on the kiosk, 12% off on your first order when you sign up for their free rewards membership & fyi, tips is automatically applied (cannot be removed). The staff were friendly & are all wearing face masks with a smiley face on them. We got an iced matcha latte and snow top orchid blanc milk tea with brown sugar boba (hot) as well as a box of their popular Portuguese egg tarts. The matcha latte was ok- consisted of mostly milk with not enough matcha powder & had too much ice (definitely not "less ice"), the orchid blanc milk tea was good but $10 tho?! Very fragrant & creamy, boba were soft & chewy, topped with their fluffy whipped cream that had a slight citrus hint to it and lastly, the Portuguese egg tarts, which is what stood out the most- they were indeed delicious- buttery, eggy & not too sweet with a flaky crust, so glad I got 6 :p Worth $3.50 each, next time I'm getting a dozen. Also want to try their mango dew smoothie too.

Tea pulse is my go to spot for tea now! Especially in the summer, an icy cold fruity drink just hits. The ambiance is great: clean, modern, and casual. The bayside location has limited seating so it's more of a come and go type of place. The service is good. I can tell the workers are diligent and making the order as swiftly as they can. The food/drink: Jumbo lime drink (5/5): so refreshing, huge (perfect to share with a fried), and worth the price!! Egg tarts (4/5): i like the base that they use for the tart! The custard is sweet but not too sweet.

Updating my review because the jumbo teas here are pretty freakin' good. My fiance & I have been frequenting Tea Pulse quite often, so it would only be right for me to update my review. I've tried the strawberry lemon blast & lemon/ceylon so far, and I love both! 70% sugar is perfect for these drinks. The jumbo looks ridiculous, but super worth it for $7. We usually share one for dessert.

First visit. Customer service was ok. Drink quality is very good. I got the Mango Dew Mochi smooth (L) $7.25. You can adjust sugar level. They had a promotion: buy one drink, get $1 off pastel de nata. Nata was originally $3.50. For the nata, it was only room temperature. I would appreciate a hot one much better. It wasn't as silky as it's advertised. A little too sweet for me overall, especially with caramelized sugar on top. I also took a sample of the Jasmine lemon blast. It was very refreshing and again, sugar level can be adjusted. It's pretty good value when you get it in XL size, aka a bucket size. It's actually served in a bucket with a handle. It will be very refreshing for summer. Overall, will return. No reward program. Wish they have one.

I was in the area and wanted to try their pastel de nata. I've been to their Flushing location but the pastel de nata were all reserved when I got there after dinner! Luckily, they had a whole batch of pastel de nata at this location. It's flaky on the outside and custardy in the center. It also not too sweet, though really not much flavor overall. Might be catering towards the Asian palette, but I wish it was more flavorful. I was also craving a Jasmine Milk Tea, so I got that as well. It is on the sweet side for me even at 30%, so I would do no sugar next time. The jasmine flavor is good though. I do want to try their Jumbo sized Jasmine/Oolong Lemon Blast! Everything is packaged very aesthetically. The cashier was friendly and helpful. They do have a few tables for seating, though they mostly seem to be a takeout/delivery spot since a couple people came in and out while I was waiting for my drinks. They also have a sliding door into Nanshan Hot Pot right next door. Overall, I'd only come here to try the Jumbo sized Jasmine/Oolong Lemon Blast, unless they improve the flavor of their pastel de nata. There are other bubble tea spots in the vicinity, so they need a standout!

mango dew mochi smoothie (no purple rice)
    Christina L.

Only tried the mango dew mochi smoothie and it wasn't bad but it just wasn't what I was expecting. It didn't taste coconut-y at all and also lacked the mochi consistency/chew (I've learned from other reviews that the "mochi" is supposed to be the purple rice, which I asked them to not include, which is kind of strange). The drink was also very tart, more tart than I'd like, probably due to the mango pieces since it's not mango season, and overall made this taste more like a mango yogurt drink. I'd still come back and give them another chance tho, but I'd probably choose a drink where the fruit is in season next time.

I was super happy to see Teapulse outside of Flushing. However this one pales in comparison to it's sister store in Flushing. First of all it shares a space through an inside door with a hotpot place. They leave the door open which makes it smell really bad. My clothes came out reeking. I wished they would close it off. The service was super slow and a mess. I only ordered half a dozen of the egg tarts. The lady behind me also ordered half a dozen of egg tarts, yet she got her 10 mins before I got mines. I had to complain to get my eggtarts. I waited 15 mins. Totally unacceptable. Lastly the egg tarts are not as crispy as the ones in Flushing. The skin is thinner, maybe that's why it's not as crispy. Total let down.

I've tried an Osmanthus Cloud before and was surprised by how light the floral taste was. I was hoping the strength of the tea flavor would be the same, but the flavor of the Oolong Cloud was also pretty light. The pastel de natas were a bit disappointing, especially for the price. They looked amazing and were sold out for an hour at another location I've been to. I found them to be just average, not particularly flakey or custardy. Again, not bad but not a standout. There were several customers and there was a bit of a wait for the order, but it wasn't too loud or crowded. There was a bit of seating available, which is nice for a boba shop.

Drinks that I've tried so far are pretty good here! It was busy during opening hours on a Saturday- I waited about 20 minutes for my two drinks. The pastel de nata was on the thick side, but still tasty! Curious to try other drinks here, so I'll definitely be back! They also have a connecting barn door to hot pot next door.

    Alan T.

Came here and got the boba taro tea and an egg tart. Loved my drink! From the tea to the boba and to the taro itself! I would definitely want to try the osmanthus tea next time. They also have a decent amount of egg tarts in view. I feel like the filling itself is deep - as in it seems to be a taller egg tart than what I've usually had in the past (perfectly content with that!). Or maybe I just haven't had one in a long time!

I was around the area and decided to try Tea Pulse. It was pretty busy for a Sunday afternoon. I ordered a hot Osmanthus Milk Tea and Mango Dew Mochi Smoothie. The milk tea had a floral taste and I enjoyed it. The Mango smoothie was pretty interesting. It had mango coconut milk, mochi and pomelo. It had a combination of sweet and sour (cause of the pomelo), and it was good. I also had to get the portugese egg tarts and they were pretty good. The filling was creamy custard egg flavor and the crust was flaky. Now I see why the egg tarts gets sold out. I will definitely come back and try their other drinks and get some more egg tarts.

I ordered the brown sugar pearls with fresh milk ($5.80) and two mini wamochi (earl grey and matcha redbeans) ($2.90). The brown sugar pearls with fresh milk reminded me of Tiger Sugar brown sugar boba milk tea. It was sweet and the boba was fresh. The wamochi came out hot, fresh, and it was very soft. It had some flavor, but didn't really taste like earl grey. The matcha redbeans one had more flavor. The menu also offered onigiri, toast, and other Asian-inspired snacks. The Oreo topping added another layer of texture. Glad we tried it.
