I noticed they had some new menu items (hot food) a few weeks back but it was always when I had just finished having bfast/lunch and what caught my eye was of course the chee cheong fun. . Chee Cheong Fun (steamed rice rolls) $3.50 for size small The rice rolls are thicker than other places and also more chewy. It has a bouncier texture. It took in the sauce pretty well. The sauce they gave were not liquidy either so they didn't water down the sauces. Oddly you only see the peanut sauce but the bottom had the sweet and soy sauce. It was a good balance in flavor. The sesame seeds though, were kinda stale, it was a bit on the hard size. I'm just being nick picky. I thought it tasted good and I would get it again (since fu yuan has been disappointing lately ) . Cheese Ham & Egg Hot-Pressed Sandwich $3.75 (A La Carte) This took a while to make, it's made to order. I couldn't see the entire process, I did catch some glimpse. I did see him put eggs from the skillet onto the bread (that's about it). There is mayo in the sandwich so if you don't like mayo make sure you let the staff know. The sandwich was decent. The eggs and cheese were good, the ham was on the thick side, and I suspect it wasn't heated prior to it being pressed. It was very intact still after being pressed. I couldn't tear the sandwich in half without a knife. Coffee - came with the hot pressed sandwich combo -$5 total for the combo Rather on the light side. It's meant for boba kind of drinks. But it wasn't bad though. Pretty decent size . In all, I thought the food was decent. It's affordable for it is. It's nothing high end which I appreciate, they aren't charging an arm or a leg so I think the price fits the quality/portion. . They also have another location Bar747 41-42a Main St

Zaza is a new takeout boba tea shop opened on Roosevelt between Main and Union. I was under the impression that zaza meant what most of you probably thought it meant (iykyk) but it's not. It's supposed to be 渣 as in 渣男渣女. I came here on a hot rainy day after work and they have a combo for XL drink with a KAM HING sponge cake. I was drawn because as mentioned in another review of mine, I grew up with Kam Hing cakes. The $9 combo I ordered was a cup as tall as the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the mango sago pomelo was pretty refreshing. The staff here also speak Cantonese which I'm actually happy about because msp dessert is popular in HK.

In case you're wondering what happened to Molly Tea:…read more Here's the Real Tea (per Google): The "Molly Tea scandal" is an international franchise dispute involving the Shenzhen-based parent company of the trendy Chinese tea chain and its US franchise operators. A court injunction barred the US operators from using the brand's trademarks, forcing a viral rebrand to "? Tea" in New York. Headquarters' Allegations: According to court documents, the corporate office revoked the operators' trademark rights after claiming: - Unauthorized Expansions: The US operator opened a Los Angeles location without prior corporate approval. - Unapproved Ingredients: The franchise was sourcing ingredients independently, violating strict corporate quality and recipe standards. - Hiding Profits: Headquarters accused the operators of voiding their contract by allegedly hiding store revenues and bypassing royalty payments. The Franchisee's Perspective: The US operators disputed the claims. Before the courts stepped in, franchisees alleged that corporate HQ had attempted to aggressively renegotiate the ownership equity, attempting to slash the operator's share from 80% to 30% after the US locations proved highly lucrative. Current Status & Rebranding: Due to the legal injunction, the affected stores were forced to scrub the name "Molly Tea" from their storefronts, uniforms, and delivery apps. The operator complied by covering up the logos and using hand-drawn question marks on cups, quickly earning the nickname "? Tea" among fans.

The Sun Moon Lake Black Tea - refreshing, cool, and not too sweet. I liked it. Two orders of egg pancakes - for each order of 5 only one flavor, and they told me 10-15min for them, so waited.... 31 minutes. Terrible. The drink I saw was done in less than 5min.... and sat there warming up on the table while they made the egg pancakes. They couldn't just give it to me? -sigh- Also, for whatever reason, they make drinks and put it on the table, but don't have someone consistently checking that the order(s) are done and so some orders literally sat completed and people were waiting around all crowded in the storefront, and finally several got the attention of the staffers in order to show their numbers and point out their drinks were done... left some of the customers pretty unhappy at both the ordering and pickup stage for the lack of someone consistently working. The plastic shield also blocked audio so that made it harder to order because it was hard to hear the staffer clearly. The egg pancakes were ok - custard I felt were better than the taro, but others like the taro more.
