HeyTea is easily one of my go-to spots, and while I have tried a bunch of their drinks, I keep coming back for the Coconut Mango Boom. It is honestly my favorite on the menu. It leans more dessert than drink, with a really smooth mango flavor, creamy coconut, and those small sago pearls that give it a great texture without feeling too heavy. Even though this area of Prince Street has probably 7 or 8 different bubble tea places, I've been consistently coming back to HeyTea. Everything I've had so far has been delicious, not too sweet, a generous portion, & actually never too long of a wait. Probably the longest was 15 minutes. All the teas in the area are $7.50 - 9 & very Jasmine green tea-focused, but I'm happy with HeyTea (M-lly Tea & Tea Sch-lar were fine. Maybe HeyTea markets their drinks better?) HeyTea drinks have good flavor, quality ingredients, and well-crafted & executed layers. Now I understand why they're so popular & glad I didn't come sooner because my habit would have been even worse. I've had these (less sweet, less ice): (all have a green tea base) - Jasmine Cloud King (the OG) - Jasmine Matcha Cloud King - Crisp Grape Boom (a bit slushy, bits of real red grape) - Mango Coconut Sago (perfect dessert, a traditional Cantonese soup dessert) Like the tiny sago boba instead of the regular size. The shop is a good size with a lot of waiting room. 1 table & a high counter at the front window. I've seen a small group of professionals either de-briefing or meeting over tea. But the space isn't really conducive for long-term use or work. The staff seem pretty relaxed, most are bilingual, & they seem like seasoned baristas. Proud of what they make. One suggestion /recommendation would be to move the TV screen with the order numbers to a more visible spot. It's currently against the right side wall with an overhang slightly blocking it. My friends and I made it to Heytea for their debut of the king Jasmine guava. The place is small, but modern and pretty simple with an order counter and a long table with about 8 seats. Upon arrival, there was a huge line because of the buy one get one special so we waited online, which was about five minutes to put in our order. the staff for friendly and quick and letting us know that because of the special the way it could be up for an hour, recognizing the Heytea is a popular tea place that is quality we happily waited. It really only took about half an hour and we got our drinks. On the weekday usually is not too busy unless of the specials which is but one get one free on the first day of drink introduction. I'm also a big fan of their app with points. King Jasmine Guava was refreshing, fruity, and very fragrant very very good. Definitely coming back to try other teas. read more

This is one of my go-to locations in Flushing. I visited during their limited-edition collaboration with Popmart's Twinkle Twinkle. I arrived around 10:55 a.m., but didn't pick up my drinks until close to 12 p.m. Even though the Hey Tea app estimated a 20-minute preparation time, it took much longer for the drinks to be ready. It was very busy in the morning since it was Christmas Eve. I noticed a large order being placed while they were still setting up. Nevertheless, I passed the time by walking around Tangram Mall, which is just a few stores down. I ordered the "Collaboration Sticker Set", which included two drinks (limited-edition Tiramisu Milk Tea) and two Twinkle Twinkle stickers. Everything was so cute! Although I'm not a huge fan of Twinkle Twinkle, I've seen the character before. It was nice to see Popmart collaborating with Hey Tea, featuring a different character. It's a great way to introduce Popmart fans to other characters they might overlook. Overall, the drinks were delicious. Overall (5/5*): HeyTea is my favorite tea spot. I've been to their Brooklyn and Flushing Chinatown locations multiple times and experience has been homogenous throughout. Mix of refreshing and classic boba drinks to simple smoothies and tea. Would definitely recommend. Food (5/5*): I have not tried all their menu items since I don't consume dairy but my favorites are the coconut mango boom and kale boost. - Coconut mango boom (5/5*): A slightly heavier drink, but great if you're craving something creamy and sweet without dairy (recommend reduced sugar and confirm dairy status at different locations). I would recommend adding extra brown sugar boba on top of the existing toppings. Definitely something fun to just sip and chew on while walking around Flushing. - Kale boost tea (5/5*): I would recommend no higher than 50-70% sugar as it did run on the sweeter side, but tastes amazing. I usually do not like kale but I couldn't really taste it here (and I wanted to try being healthy... lol). Sweety, tangy, light, and refreshing. It tastes similar to a lime outshine bar. Like many South Asian parents, my parents have an attachment with jasmine flowers and their aroma. I felt very emotional walking in. The branding and interface of the entire store is very tranquil and clean. It looks like a 5-star spa. Jasmine Matcha Latte - holy, one of the best drinks I have ever had. The drink had a layer of matcha cheesecake on top. There were instructions to try it alone and then swirl it into the drink. I will note that the jasmine notes were slightly hidden. I also think that $8 for a drink without accommodations is steep. Ordering was confusing as there are kiosks on the side but then there is a way to order with someone. We tried the Grapefruit Slush and Mango Grapefruit Slush, and both were top-notch. They had a real, clear fruit flavor and weren't overly sweet, with the taste consistent throughout the ice, no watered-down finish here. Even on a cold day, they stayed refreshingly cold for a long time. The Supreme Brown Sugar Boba was another winner. The brown sugar itself wasn't cloyingly sweet, the boba pearls were wonderfully warm and chewy even after 30 minutes, and the slightly sweet milk foam layered perfectly with the rich milk tea. While it's a small outpost, this HeyTea location delivers the full, high-quality experience the brand is known for. Now there are two Heytea locations in Flushing, I'm glad they've expanded from their first Midtown location. I've tried a couple of their drinks before and I think their fruit tea drinks (tried grape boom, yumberry and mango sago so far) are their strength. Today, I went in to see what new drinks they had and was intrigued by the new offering of a jasmine tea latte. They had a giant TV sized touch pad for ordering so everyone could watch as you browse the menu. Limited seating options and not as giant of a space as their other Flushing location. I loved the decor though, it was simplistic with lots of wood themes. There were no options for oat milk substitutions which is too bad but nothing a Lactaid couldn't fix. I carried the drink around for a while before I drank it and I forgot that they don't seal their drinks so it ended up spilling all over my bag. Just like Molly's, it came with one of those tiny coffee straws to savor the tea flavor. The jasmine tea flavor is definitely there but I'm not sure if it's because I didn't drink it right away or not but after a while, the flavor of the drink started to become bitter. So for this drink, instead of going with their recommended sugar level, it might be better to pick 100% sweetness. read more

This is the second Hey Tea location that opened in Flushing. This location is much smaller than the one located on Northern Blvd so there are only a few seats available inside. Parking is pretty limited although there is meter and street parking available if you need to take your car. Mass transit is highly recommended. My sister and I came here and she was hoping to get the Mulberry drink that they have on their menu. She inquired about it and the staff said they had it available. Unfortunately, when the drink came out, they gave the Strawberry version and said Mulberry was sold out. I wish they communicated this when it was initially inquired. We had to get the whole order refund and reordered. My go to drink is usually the Mango Grapefruit Boom. It is absolutely delicious and I sometimes buy two of them to save for the next day. I also bought the Coco Water Matcha and that was quite good as well. I really enjoyed the matcha cream on top that went well with the coconut water. Overall, this is a solid bubble tea/boba shop that has a good selection of drinks. I will continue coming here to get my Mango Grapefruit Boom fix. read more

This is definitely my favorite boba chains. No artificial sweeteners and they use fresh ingredients. The moment you open the door, it's like walking into a jasmine garden. The floral smell is so welcoming. My go-to drink is always the Mango Grapefruit Boom. You have the option to make it with jasmine tea or caffeine free. It's made with coconut milk, chunks of mango, freshly cooked sago, grapefruit pulp and coconut jelly. I always get the larger size which is $1 more. There's also a seasonal drink that is to die for and it's the Cloud Coconut Blue! It has coconut milk, a layer of blue spirulina and topped with matcha cheese cloud. I wish that they had descriptions or pictures next to all of the drinks because it was hard to expect what the drink would contain. Honestly not a very good method for those with allergies. Also, I didn't like how their menu was right in front of the cashier and not on the display TVs because people would choose their drink on the spot and not beforehand, so the line moved extremely slow. The ambiance was not great if you want me to be completely straightforward. It seemed like there was a decent amount of seating, but so many people would just sit for a prolonged period of time WITHOUT a drink. Also, the line was so so so slow that it frustrated me because I was in the shop for about 35 minutes for ONE drink. Even when I went to go pick my drink up, they were busy trying to make the new drinks that they wouldn't confirm which one was mine when I was standing in front of them...and I could visibly see my drink already made.
