During this visit, I ordered the cheese foam mango pomelo with 30% sugar. The mango wasn't ripe so it wasn't sweet and it was cut into teenie tiny pieces. Definitely not how the picture looks. Parking is a tossup, sometimes there's an abundance of spots, sometimes you have to circle around a bit or walk a a bit. It used to be the bubble tea counter near the front and the desserts in the back, with some seating all the way in the back. Now, it's seating when you enter - quite a few tables comfortably spaced out, with the bubble tea (and small bites) counter in the back (with the kitchen right behind). The desserts have moved right next door (you can go in between the stores while inside) to Half Cake. The cashiers are friendly and helpful. There is a 10% discount when paying with cash, so make sure to bring along some cash! Some of the drinks can be a bit pricey, but pretty consistent. My go-to drink is the Cheese Foam Earl Grey Tea - saltiness from the cheese foam adds more flavor to the tea! Honestly though I actually mostly come here for the onigiri. Usually freshly made, but doesn't take more than 10 minutes. I usually go for the Tuna Corn Mayo and Pork Belly Onigiri. I used to love coming here, and have been a huge fan of this location since they first opened. Since they renovated, the space is used more efficiently with a better layout, but the drinks are disappointing. My fiance and I came recently, and the fresh strawberry tea tasted almost like frozen strawberry puree mixed with tea - it's so far from what it used to be! The DaHong Pao bubble milk tea was also mostly milk - tea flavor was really lacking. This Moge Tee can't seem to get it right. When this Moge Tee first opened up I thought, YES this works perfectly, right off I-495, with an entrance ramp back on at the next block. Perfect to pickup a drink and get right back on the highway. When they first started, drinks took forever if you ordered in person, so ordering ahead was the way to go, which alleviated some of the wait. Here and there, they would mess up the drink orders, but they were new and perhaps going through some growing pains, but being "made to order" and "fresh" had a price to pay in terms of wait right? Fast forward a few years later and they still have the same issues with wait even when ordering ahead and no matter what, they always seem to get the slightest of modifications wrong. No bubbles is just my standard and it seems that's the hardest thing to do. If they can't routinely fulfill a negative drink order request with a cost now, north of $6 for a medium sized drink, I'm not confident they can fulfill any other request with slightly higher degrees of difficulty. read more

Their mango yogurt fruit tea has been absolutely amazing the last 3 times but I just got my order and it barely tastes like mango and the ice is so chunky. When I walked the worker why it tasted different, I was told that since the fruit is fresh, the taste can vary. Personally I think they would check the quality and ripeness before adding it into drinks as my drink is very unpleasant. It's pretty gangsta to open up a "boba tea" spot directly across the street from an existing one (Coco) on a relatively quiet side street, which isn't so quiet anymore from the traffic these places generate. Parking can sometimes be an issue, but never so bad where you can't find a spot. I come here mainly for the fruit teas. I notice in their store name they spell it "Tee" - which seems fitting because I am not exactly sure why they call their fruity drinks teas because I get absolutely no tea flavor from them. It is blended fruit and ice. I usually order mine with the cheese foam, which is nice salty, creamy flavor with the fruit. The combo makes sense to me from growing up eating after so many Italian meals fresh grapes with Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese (the salty, cheesy, sweet fruit is a fantastic combo). I like the strawberry and mango varieties, but am I open to trying the others. Get one of those punch cards if you plan on being a regular so you get a free drink after you buy 10. Moge Tee opened up recently in the Fresh Meadows area and offers a new option for bubble tea in the area! There are Moge Tees in Flushing and Bayside, but it's nice to have an option right in between, considering how crowded it can get in the other two areas. I tried the purple yam bubble milk tea, which indeed has real purple yam in it! It's important to mix the purple yam with the rest of the drink because otherwise you'll be stuck drinking globs of purple yam at once without the rest of the bubble tea. The purple yam itself was pretty good as it was slightly sweet and even a bit savory. However, it only really went well with the milk tea, which is much sweeter. The tapioca pearls are a nice touch as well as they aren't overwhelmingly sweet and it's nice to chew on them while you suck up the yam and the milk tea. Not sure if it's one of my favorite drinks, but it was definitely worth a try, considering how they used actual yam! As for the actual store location, it is located in a new building that is very clean. From what I could tell, the staff was following COVID-19 protocol as everyone was wearing masks and they had the glass panels separating the staff from the customers. They also had more room in the back, so hopefully when the pandemic is over, there will be opportunities for people to hang out or study there! Overall, Moge Tee is a welcome addition to the area with its fresh bubble tea that uses real ingredients. Next time, I would like to try their fruit teas, as they do use fresh fruit, which is why it may take a bit longer for your order to be ready as compared to other bubble tea spots. Regardless, seeing the bubble tea made up front with fresh ingredients definitely makes me feel better about ordering a drink! They even have crepe cakes, so maybe I'll try one next time! read more

Every time I've gotten it, it's very watered down. Tastes like water with a hint of Yakut. The boba is pretty standard chew and flavor.
