I saw this place on instagram and decided to try it. Upon entering I noticed that the place was empty. I waited a few minutes for the staff member to come from the back. I asked for recommendations which he was helpful as it was my first time here. I ended up choosing the pistachio kulfi I think and it was pretty decent; not really the traditional bubble tea vibe.

I'm not one for ice cream in boba, but it came with the Large Mango Kulfi Milk Tea ($8.50), and I had to try. The drink was like a dessert in a cup, too sweet for my liking, but also soo creamy and flavorful. The boba had more chew than other places, which I didn't mind. I also loved the basil seeds incorporated in the drink for an added bite. If I'm in the area again, I'd have to try another drink.

I went to try this during happy hour thinking I am going for Bobba tea. Place was completely empty and dark. Even for bobba tea they wanted to charge extra for bobbas !! Weird. Ordered Kulfi option. They filled half of the cup with ICE ! Never seen a scam like this in any bobba tea place where they filled half the cup with ice. I asked them to remove the ice the cup was half full. Service was good but horrible strategy and ambiance was dark and empty. There are many amazing Bobba tea options in Hicksville, I would delete this one.

Our favorite bubble tea spot in all of NY! They offer amazing south Asian inspired flavors like mango kulfi (pictured) pistachio kulfi, paan kulfi, masala chai, and my favorite, falooda kulfi milk tea with basil seeds (pictured). I also hear they serve momo's now.. so excited to go back and try and update this review! :) service is always good and quick, and ambiance is very pretty with greenery and beautiful cultural canvas paintings. There are also chairs to sit and enjoy. Tip- get the falooda with basil seeds!!

I think they used previously flavor cup that was not wash properly and still had flavor of taro. We ordered 3 to go and by the time we all tried it we were not happy. We feel it's a good spot and have had good experience before that's why we are giving 3 star or else would have been 1* experience from us as all 3 drinks were wasted due to mix flavor issues.

Pictured: Malai Kulfi Milk Tea - $8.25, Falooda Kulfi Milk Tea - $8.25, Rooh Afza Milk Tea $5.50 We love this bubble tea spot's initiative to bring South Asian desserts to the mainstream. Their drinks taste as good as they look. Definitely recommend stopping by and trying their unique fusion drinks. You won't be disappointed Follow our insta: @nyc.halal for more halal food reviews!!

Came here on a Monday night and it wasn't packed so we were able to order right away. I was curious to see how these drinks taste compared to regular milk tea and they were delicious! We ordered the Mango Kulfi Milk Tea. It wasn't too sweet which was exactly what I was looking. I definitely will be coming back, it's a great way to change it up when I want something aside from the og boba milk tea.

Reading about lines to get into PYO Chai, I want to see what the hub bub is all about. It seems PYO Chai is taking a different twist on the beloved bubble tea by adding south east Asia flavors. I'm reading the website, Malai Kulfi Milk Tea with cardamom and basil seeds. Basil seeds?? Sounds like a party to me! I'm not waiting on line so I bum rushed the door when they opened at noon. Inside, PYO gives off a cute little ice cream shop vibe. And of course, they made the wall for Instagram postings (I made one :D) As for the bubble tea with basil seeds, there's a lot going on with this drink. Makes me wanna sing: I want to love you, P.Y.O... you need some lovin'.. basil seeds Oh come on! You know that flows! While I am not a biggest cardamom fan, the dollop of Malai Kulfi ice cream made the drink creamy and dreamy. PYO doesn't have a loyalty program, i can't see myself coming back to try all the drinks. PYO, we have met and I enjoyed my bubble tea beverage. Enjoy y'all!

We went here for the Chai, and the Chai served! Very unique and different from the Chai you would get at Starbucks. I would say more flavors, but it's different. Not sure how else I can explain, so you just gotta go try! I would say, it was a little pricey ($6.5-7 for the regular size). I'm not a huge fan of boba, but you can add boba to your order as well. Definitely recommend trying out this place!

First time trying this place. I live a few blocks away in Garden City and it's definitely going to be a return to visit for me! Their menu is quite diverse! I played it safe and got the brown sugar bubble tea - it did not disappoint My spouse got a pista bubble tea (pistachio) that was very good in my opinion but my spouse felt it didn't not have enough pistachio flavor to it My sister in law got the desi milk tea which she enjoyed Overall good experience I would like to try the fruit ones next

I've been waiting to check this place for a while and after reading the reviews about the long lines, I took advantage of a rainy afternoon. Let me just tell you, this worked, no line at all. From what I understand this is a combination of traditional bubble teas with more distinctive favors and add ons. For example some of their most popular drinks are the falooda and mango kulfi and both have a scoop of ice cream on the top of the tea as well as what they call "basil seeds" the girl said it's just like chia seeds. The seeds aren't reasonable noticeable when you're drinking the tea so do not be afraid to try this. Now the ice cream for me personally made the drink way too sweet. I didn't check sweet level was an option but I would def inquire because it was just too sweet. The flavors were pretty good though. Now for the price, for 2 medium regular size drinks we paid $17 and change. Now I find this a tad over priced, the drink it's good but to me it isn't just worth this much for a non alcoholic beverage. I would say you should def try this place at least once, it's totally Instagramable, not sure if that's even a word. But yes take a cute pic against the green wall with you tea. I would prob try this again, but def not my everyday bubble tea spot!

    I hear that!

As a fan of a things local and bubble tea, I knew I had to try PYO. Their drinks are definitely innovative and unlike your average bubble tea options. You'll need to spend a little time studying the options! I ultimately got the desi masala chai bubble tea ($6.25), which had the vibrant, fresh flavors of cardamom, clove, and cinnamon. My partner agreed it was one of the best he's had. For myself, I got their signature Malai Kulfi Milk Tea ($8.25). While they call it "simple," nothing about the drink was simple! It was very good, rich, decadent. I enjoyed the different textures. I will say, however, that it ultimately was too sweet. I love sweet stuff, but this drink really threw me off for an hour or so. I'd recommend a small size with this one. Beautiful, totally Instagram-able space. Definitely worth checking out!

I thought that the mango pomelo might have coconut milk or some other sort of dairy inside, so we opted to remove the cheese foam, but it became just a regular slush. The mango slush was a bit artificial tasting, which was a bit disappointing because we thought it would be a fresh fruit slush. It was okay though, but would recommend it with maybe 50% sugar. The lychee lemon green tea was really refreshing & tart, but I would say that even at 50% sugar this was a bit too sweet. Plenty of parking available, and ordering is easy via the kiosk.

I actually met the owner a few years back when they first opened, and they were just as friendly and welcoming then as the vibe still feels now. The shop was super clean, fresh, and calm with very Sabrina Carpenter energy -- cute, cozy, and aesthetic without trying too hard. There was only one employee working when I went, but everything still moved smoothly thanks to the self-service kiosks, which made ordering easy. I tried the egg sandwich along with a latte made with almond milk (just note there is a small surcharge for almond milk). Everything tasted fresh and was packaged really well, especially the sandwich being wrapped up nicely since I was taking it on the road. One little tip: if you order a layered drink or something with toppings, ask if you can shake it yourself before the employee does it. Mine looked so pretty before it got shaken up for me, and I would've loved a quick picture first! The employee was very sweet though and overall the service was great. There was a pencil holder on the counter where you order food that was being used as a garbage can which I found a bit odd.
