Laura..... nothing but perfect in my book! She's like a person you'd want to be friends with! So sweet, fair, understanding, organized, and truly lovely person inside and out. I was a confused customer from the start and changed my mind a gazillion times, yet... Laura did NOT change her attitude nor demeanor towards me (unlike another store nearby, ugh!). So i went to almost every store on 9th st and everyone else but Laura tried to sell me shit. I bought the marrone floor from Europe and it was exactly what i needed for a great price. My floor was intended for 2 young kids and 2 big dogs. It was 8X48 plank, overall medium brown color with GRIT to mimic real wood floor without slipping! Im in awe how i found this floor and half the price than Arizona flooring. Oh and there was ZERO problems when i returned a set of cracked tiles. Im the most frugal and difficult customer around and Laura did not disappoint!!! GRATEFUL. Grateful to Laura and the entire team at Anaya Tile and also to Luis the owner of LA Tile Installations who ultimately installed my tile and remodeled bathroom from the ground up. When I was searching for a tile company I kept being drawn to Anaya tile one reason is I really like to support family owned and run businesses. I stopped by and Laura was patient and took a great amount of time with me although I was "looking" and didn't purchase anything until my 2nd visit. I took her suggestions which helped me a lot and I was on my way more than satisfied. Then my chosen contractor from a recommendation started working and off the bat, the demo was a disaster and the bad feelings crept in. A couple days later I could tell he was clearly incompetent and I had to let him go. Now I'm stuck with no bathroom! I called Anaya Tile in tears and Laura came to the rescue by giving me Luis's number. He came over and I could see the look on his face that it was a horror scene. He gave me the most reasonable and actually best estimate of the others, although he could have completed gauged me and taken advantage of my desperation and by the ultimate quality of his work it would have been worth it. We are doing a bathroom remodel and after checking reviews we chose Anaya tile. They have a large selection and I found some beautiful glass subway tile and glass mosaic for the accent band in the shower. The title I chose was pretty expensive but Adam was able to give me a lower price, making it more affordable. Due to a last minute design change we needed to order 3 additional sheets of the mosaic. I went on Tuesday and placed the order and was told it would be there in 2 days, Thursday. When I called today to see if it was in I was told it would be in on Friday and they didn't have a truck coming in on Thursday. When I explained my tile guy needed it in the morning to finish up Laura made some calls and said she was sending Adam out to pick up my tile today! That is awesome customer service and we will definitely get our tile here when we do our master bath remodel in the Spring! PS we live in Alta Loma, not Sanfran read more

We were so happy with Anaya Tiles and the installer Luis with our last project that we came back for another remodeling project in the summer of 2014. We had new 18x18 tiles diagonally installed in the foyer, laundry, kitchen and baths. Before we made a decision on tiles, We toured several flooring stores but again found a tile that we really like that meet our budget at Anaya. We could not be thankful enough for Rene. He listened intelligently and patiently walked through the tile selections in the show room to help us find the right tile. He also explained the good and bad from his experience to steer us away from potentially expensive mistakes. We truly appreciate that he is always more interested in helping us find the tile that works for us than selling us expensive tiles. Super resourceful with great integrity. Thank you Rene! Luis did an amazing job. Laying it diagonally is not the easiest especially with the thick slate-like Italian porcelain tiles that have a lot of color variations. He was able to pick and choose tiles and arrange them in a natural and smooth fashion. The color came out brilliantly. He also helped us installed 3x6 travertine scabos backsplash in subway style after the granite countertops were installed. It looked beautiful! Luis and his assistant came to work every day. Very attentive to their job and never left a mess on the job site. When you have to coordinate several different contractors, it's vital to have everyone commit to the scheduled time frame. If one project is delayed, it affects the schedules of everything that goes next. Luis was able to complete the project as scheduled, which makes my life a lot easier. Thank you Luis. ------------original post 8/24/2012------ I wanted to install 500-600 sqf of 18x18 tiles in diamond pattern to match the existing American Olean tiles already installed in the kitchen/nook/entrance by the builder 7 yrs ago. I called American Olean's sales office in Upland but they are wholesale only. They referred me to Anaya Tile, the closest distributor. I called Anaya and they recommended that I went to their showroom in person. My husband and I went there and spoke with Rene Fri 8/3/12 late afternoon. We had the option of either ordering just the tiles and having our own installer to pick them up or we could use one of Anaya's installers. We decided to get a quote from Anaya's installer. We filled out a form detailing the project and our contact information. Rene told us that he would fax the info to Luis Alaniz, the installer immediately. That same evening, we received a call from Luis and was able to schedule a free estimate the next morning at 8:30am. Luis arrived on time, did a measurement, and gave us his quote. The quote included the per sqf price plus $350 for having to remove quarter rounds, possibly removing/reinstalling the baseboards, the 1/4" plywood underlayment underneath the existing sheet vinyl. We also had a similar quote from a local Corona company and a freelancer. What sets Luis apart was he was able to see the 1/4" plywood underlayment underneath the vinyl. He said the plywood is soft wood which is prone to up/down movement which could cause problems after tiles are installed. I looked it up online and he was right! The freelancer did not see it the first time. Luis was also able to establish the flow of the project and point out how he could make the transition from the old to the new tiles look more natural. His comments showed that he is an experienced installer. We decided to buy both the materials and have Luis install the tiles for our house. We ordered the tiles from Rene Wed 8/8 afternoon. It was done by phone/fax. I reviewed the invoice, made a few corrections to make sure everything was correct. Rene gave me a 10% discount on the tiles, which helps my budget. The process was easy and they are very friendly and quick to process my order. It took like 2 business days for them to get the tiles. We paid for the materials in full upfront and we do not pay for labor until the job is complete. Luis started our project Monday morning 8/13 as scheduled and finished Sat 8/18 around noon. The tiles look great and we like that Luis and his assistant always kept the site clean and organized at the end of the day. He has a high standard of his own and I do not need to remind him of what needs to be done. Sometimes when we told him how we wanted it done a certain way and would later received his call explaining why that was not a good idea from his experience. I also appreciate that Luis always answered the phone or returned phone calls quickly to address any questions or concerns that we had. He came to work on our house every day until he finished. Very efficient and solid. We would definitely consider Luis again for our future tile projects. read more

Wow where to begin.. my husband and I bought our home and decided to renovate our downstairs flooring with over 1600 sq ft of Spanish tile. I saw this 30x30 Spanish tile and called Spain directly. Of course because we are not a distributor or retail they would not sell to us directly but the gave us Anaya Tiles contact information. I called the number given but it would only ring, therefore I decided to drive out there and see if they were still in business. It was meant for me to meet the Anaya family as Rene and Laura treat all their employees and customers as if we are all family. Laura is my point contact but I have dealt with everyone and they are all very sweet, honest, loyal, trustworthy people to say the least. I placed my order for tile flooring and Laura did advise that the do not deliver but encourage me to have someone deliver all pallets as not only did we decide to do our floors but redo all 3 bathrooms. Theirs prices and customer service expectations are truly the best. While picking up some material at distribution center, as I offered to pick up as it was closer to home I fell in love with a marble fireplace mantel all I had to do was call Laura and Rene and they negotiated price with distributor and got me a great deal for the fireplace I wanted. When my contractor was starting my master bathroom he advised me that the tile on shower walls had a defect. I had him stop and reached out to Laura. Laura said no worries I'm having Rene go out to your home now and take a look. RENE and distributor sales person came to my home and viewed material. They took a few pieces and I received a text the next day stating new material was being shipped. Mind you that my contractor had already started cutting into two boxes but because it had a defect they replaced all material at no additional cost. The Anaya Family (Rene, Laura, Adam, Josh, Gregorio in the back warehouse and literally all staff) have taken care of me since day one. I have dealt with other retailers in the past but never again would I go to someone else other than Anaya Tile as they are truly the good caring people! They take care of every customer with devotion and provide you different options regardless of how busy they are. This is the place for tile, forget Home Depot and Lowe's. They do not have enough options for tiles at these stores. Finally found tile for our kitchen floors. Along 9th Street, in Upland, you will find a handful of tile warehouses. Anaya Tile was is at the end of the street and it was the jackpot. Friendly staff who really made the effort to match our counter top and color scheme for our kitchen. We purchased our tile & grout and took it home the same day. After buying a new house, I decided on a color palette. We had wood grain porcelain tile at our old house, and we wanted it again... but I needed it in a deep charcoal, with ZERO hints of brown. Imagine my surprise when I found out that that color choice is fairly impossible. Google searches and tile showroom visits for seven months revealed NOTHING. Everything either had brown in it, or wasn't textured enough or the wood grain looked fake. Enter Anaya tile. We were recommended by our accountant, who told us about the friendly employees and good selection. Dubious they would be able to succeed where others had not, we decided to try. We were greeted almost immediately upon walking in, by a friendly salesman named Josh. Josh listened to our concerns, walked us around to what he had that he thought would match. When we realized that once again, nothing was meeting my ridiculously high standards, he asked us to give him a few days and come back after he got some samples in. We came back a week later. Josh proceeded to pull out three tile samples. The first two were ALMOST what I wanted and the third was EXACTLY IT. He had managed to find EXACTLY what I wanted, when it seemed it wasn't even possible. It ended up being slightly out of our price range, but they had a tile we had looked at a bit when we were in previously, and they cut us such a smoking deal we couldn't say no. I'm still amazed they found the tile we wanted in a few days after we searched for months. Josh has been amazing, professional, and we have been telling everyone we know to check out Anaya Tile. Laura is the best, seriously! She is very patient and so sweet. Their prices are very competitive, but the customer service is what keeps me coming back when working on renovations. They have a wide variety of all types of styles, materials for tiling. Special orders are final. If you receive damaged tile, they will replace them for you at no cost, which is awesome, but just be aware that you will need to wait a couple to a few days until they can replace them. I stoped by Anaya tile because of there reviews on yelp. I was in need of a woodlook tile for my den and spoke to Adam he had competitive pricing and good customer service. I was in a rush for material because I had the contractors coming in on Monday for the install and it was Thursday he assured me he will have the material ready for pick up first thing Saturday morning. Even though there show room was full of customers they still managed to give me great customer service. Another employee Josh stepped in from time to time to make sure that I didn't have any additional questions or need anything else. I have been meaning to write this review forever. We worked with Anaya tile to do about 2000 square feet of wood tile in our house. We also bought stone here to redo our fireplace. We worked closely with Josh. He was AMAZING. He helped show us all kinds of options for our house. We were able to take home a few samples and really test out what we thought would be best. Josh helped us to get organized, make the huge order and also ensured we got what we wanted. We felt that we got an amazing deal on our tile. Josh also helped to set us up with a person to install it. Wood tile can be very complicated to install. From our initial meeting with Josh to the very end of the job, we had zero problems and zero concerns. The whole thing went very smooth and we couldn't be happier with the amazing customer service. He would even periodically call and check in during the project to make sure everything was going okay. He is top notch and we would definitely work with Anaya tile again, especially Josh. We get tons of compliments on our floors and honestly couldn't be happier with the final product. I will say that right before the floors went in, I had second thoughts so went back to the tile store. They were very patient with me and in the end I am glad that we stuck with our original choice. We have a lot of remodel work, so we started in Orange County, looking for tile. We found tile we wanted to use, but decide we should also check out tile stores in Upland. We're sooo glad we did. You will not beat Anaya Tile for price. (It's amazing how big their selection is in that store.) The floor tile we liked in Orange County was half the price at Anaya's-Unbelievable. We purchased our tile here last year - I'd been looking for a walnut colored wood plank type tile & found exactly what I was looking for here. And I'd been to several shops prior to going. Josh is fantastic - I told him what I was looking for in flooring & for a fireplace update & he delivered. He's one of the few that will HEAR what you want and LISTEN to your questions. He didn't try to steer me in another direction. We had to order more tile for an expansion and he made sure we got it from the same lot & held it for us until we were able to borrow a truck and come back again. Anaya tile customer service is good no complains there. Laura and Adam were great but the prices are not competitive. I got a tile for 4.95 per sq feet but i should have shopped around. Floor & Decor had the same tile for 3.79 sq feet. My advice is shop around even other shops on 9th street before you purchase. No price match or refunds even within a 3 day period in this day and age. I was told All Sales are Final as mentioned in invoice. I should have shopped around and not gone by reviews. read more

My experience with this company is that they're not very professional. I put a call out to three companies for a quote on 3700 sq feet of flooring and a kitchen back splash. They returned my call after 2 days which was ok but then I was told the installer would call me shortly and schedule a day he could come out after waiting for a couple more days for that call I called them back again, I believe his name was Richard who was very nice and apologetic the next day the installer finally called and set up appointment for the following week and he did come out he took measurements and and said he would figure up the estimate and call us the the next day. Well I guess the next day never came NO CALL back and it's been a month. We finally contracted another company who just completed the down stairs rooms. (15,000) not only did they lose this sale they lost my son who purchased a hobby me in the same area. I hope this isn't they're normal way to do business. Shame Shameless read more
