My husband and I went to tile row in upland after reading reviews on yelp. I went to one that had great reviews, which was Anaya's Tile. They only had one selection for us to choose from in their terra-cotta porcelain tile. We almost went with it but their highly touted contractor was two months booked out. So we thought why settle on one tile to choose from? We knew we needed to look around. Next we went to Palata Tile. We walked through the whole store, up and down every aisle, stood around, finally a guy came up to help. I proceeded to explain our project and asked if he had any suggestions. He casually stated, well we have this one over here. I said, do you have anything else? He said no, so I said well we saw something over here, he says, oh yes well we do have that also. He made us feel as if we were not worth his time. Didn't make any suggestions and kept being interrupted with phone calls. (Too many personal calls perhaps). So as he excused himself to take his fifth call, we walked out. As we were walking to our car we saw Signature Tile & Stone right next door. We said, what the heck lets go in and see what they have. Well I have to tell you, it was the best decision we could have made. Right from the start we were met by Sylvia. We explained our existing tile, trying to match it and what we would like for upstairs bedrooms and loft. She listened! They have a big selection of beautiful tile. Sylvia was so helpful, she looked up prices, as my husband and I kept choosing and changing our minds. She took all the time we needed, never made us feel like we were a bother. She left us to ponder over our choices while she took care of other customers, but came back to us and picked up right where we left off. We were there about three hours. She made sure before we left whether they would have all we needed in stock and if not where and when she could get it in for us and what day. She said she will call us with the information. The only reason we did not buy that day is because we needed to check the sq. footage on our project. It was Easter weekend so two days later on Monday we went back in and she remembered us right away, said she had just left a message for us and explained that she had all the tiles except for one. I told her that was ok because we changed our mind and decided to go with a different one they had on their showroom wall, but with the copper accents. She said NO PROBLEM let me check to make sure we have enough. They did except for the copper accents. So not to disappoint us and her knowing I wanted a floor that had a little pizazz accent. She went in the back and her and her boss? came back with three choices for me to choose from with different price ranges. I immediately chose the silver/bronze accents and they were less expensive than my first choice! They even called right than and there to check on a contractor they recommend and he happened to be on his way there so we met him and we were able to discuss our design, materials needed and his cost. We paid for everything we needed which was way less than we would have paid somewhere else. I knew going in the look I wanted to achieve for my floors and with Sylvia's help with design, product knowledge, no problem attitude, time and excellent customer service, I feel very satisfied. I know for any future home projects we will definitely being going back to Signature Tile & Stone. read more
