It's definitely a cool experience. The pizza is ... fine. I'd put most other local places above this joint, but we do enjoy the atmosphere and unique selection of artisanal ingredients. It's fun to walk around the shops after eating, but the food itself is just okay. read more

Great crust and delicious fresh toppings. Truly a wonderful wood fired pizza -- under great management.

My husband and I use to frequent here. Always good good and service. Life styles have changed so we have not gone for about 6 months. We were in the area and stopped for lunch. All started out well. When the pizza came out it was undercooked. Asked for it to be done a bit more. You would have thought we asked for the moon. Then to find someone to fill our drinks was almost impossible. Each employee was on their phone and couldn't be bothered. The place was getting busy, but the employees seemed to find more important things on their phones. Guess this is our last time going there. Sad as I love it brings in local foods. read more

Went back and I had an original salad with goat cheese along with make your own pizza. I started with a red pizza and cheese and added maple fennel sausage, mushrooms and roasted red peppers. This was tasty when it came out. A large was $17ish dollars. This was all very tasty but if I'm in the mood for pizza this won't be my first place just bc it's pricey. read more

One of my favorite places to go for pizza! They always have super cool and unique pizza specials every week. One time I went and they had a special with Alfredo cream sauce as the base with cheese, peas, carrots, and chunks of honey ham on top. Sounds a little weird but it was literally the best pizza I've ever had. Not a crazy fan of their salad but omg their desserts are to die for. If you go you MUST try their gingerbread sundae. It comes out warm and they serve it with pumpkin ice cream from j.fosters, maple syrup, and whipped cream. It's to die for! read more

Second time I ate Flatbread Pizza and developing a taste. Like the the wood fired oven taste. First, I ordered the special of the day which was a combination of slightly spicy 1/2 buffalo chicken and 1/2 stir fried veggies. Blue Cheese sauce was served on the chicken side. What was delivered was a pizza that had spice on both sides. Lois and I tasted the pizza and sent it back for a home made organic sausage, onion, pepper pizza. While the second pizza was good, I was surprised that charged $1.50 extra for tomato sauce. While they stress home grown and organic pizza, I will pass next time and go elsewhere for thin crust bacon pizza or more traditional Flatbread. The staff was friendly but the noise level was to high. The lesson learned was try new things and places, but when hungry, don't always go to the nearest place. Check the Yelp reviews. Pizza on Mind!!! Keep Flatbread in Mind!!! One of the best Pizza's I've ever had... Always fresh and natural ingredients, the taste of which speaks for themselves... Roasted Red peppers are really awesome.. N this is after the fact that I don't like peppers in general... To top it all... The nicely warmed up to perfection Brownie with Ice Cream scoops and whipped cream is an awesome way to end the treat... Must go for people who think Pizza's are all the same... N I am sure Flatbread will change the way they think... read more

If you're looking for a lighter pizza option, Flatbreads is where to go! All of their ingredients are organic and locally sourced and you can tell by the taste of the food. Also, it's neat watching the pizzas getting fired in their stone oven! Flatbreads is very active in the community and are always holding events and benefits to raise money for other local charities and events. read more

Love that it has a variety of gluten free options! The gluten free pizza was very good, not like typical gf crumbly thin crust pizza. The place itself has a rustic feel. They source their ingredients from local farms/bakeries. The dessert looked great! We didn't try it but I would definitely come back to give it a try. Flatbread pizza isn't my favorite type of pizza, but with the scarce options of this food plaza, this was definitely a plus out of the given restaurants. So I would recommend coming here if you see it read more

THIS PLACE WAS AMAZING!!!!!! I've never been here before and I wanted something delicious for lunch and delicious was just an understatement for flatbread company. I had the classic jays heart, added some basil and it was hands down the best pizza I've ever had in my life. Paired with a freshly squeezed lemonade, nothing could compare. Thank you for the best food experience !! read more

Great place to bring the kids or even appropriate for business lunch/dinner. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. The wood fired pizza oven and hippie decor are just terrific. I'd recommend this restaurant without reservation and will return soon. read more

Very good service, friendly staff even when busy, my son loved it so much he wants to move nearby.

On Monday night, November 2, I suggested to my three friends that we stop at Flatbread in the Canton Shoppes. We had a drink and ordered the veggie special flatbread. The time passed and we realized we had not seen our waitress nor our pizza. After catching the waitress' attention, she reported that she was sorry, but our pizza never got made. They were "making it right now" and it should be ready in 10 minutes. The pizza arrived and our waitress had asked if the manger had been over, which she had not. My friend had ordered 2 additional pizzas to take home and had asked for a separate bill. The first bill brought was not our bill; the second bill had the 2 take out pizzas on the bill; and the third time was finally correct. There were many different excuses made for our poor service, including that the restaurant had just changed hands and that they were having issues with the "technology". The restaurant was not that busy, but our service was not what I experienced in past visits to the restaurant. Apologies were made many times. We left with a bad taste in our mouth and as a result of our experience, probably will not return. The odd and sad part is that I was at the same restaurant the night before, when it was under the "old management" with my family and we had a wonderful meal. What a difference a day makes! I have sent this same information to the owners at Flatbread two weeks ago, with no response. read more

I went there Sunday morning with the family. They had a breakfast brunch with Santa Claus and it was terrific as usual. I've been there a number of times with my "organic only" friends and I've never been disappointed with either the food, the service or the price. I just love the wood stoked open oven and the flatbread pizzas they produce in the most original toppings. And as my "green" friends keep saying: "it's not only great food but it is all organic." Now back the Santa breakfast. We had reservations for the first seating at 8:30AM and we were greeted at the door and promptly seated. Everything about the procedure, from juice and drinks, to the buffet, and finally about Santa's visit to each table was explained thoroughly by our waitress. The price was only $12 each and it was well worth it. Juices tea and coffee near the entrance, and tons of food at the buffet line, eggs, sausage, bacon, french toast, fruit and the delicious flatbread pizzas. They even made some breakfast pizzas. I just had to try a slice and it was excellent. Santa was great: a real beard and great with the children. A nice touch was a choral group singing Christmas songs. OK. If you are concerned about the environment and love organic food this is your promised land. I don't care about such stuff; all I care about is the service and the quality of the food, and it was top notch. Check out my photo: a banner over the entry that describes their philosophy. read more

American Flatbread - Pizza Near Me - Canton, Connecticut

Simple, quick and friendly! Very casual/hippy feeling atmosphere. Very cool watching the staff toss the dough and make the flatbread. Ordered the two specials, carne and veggie and both were awesome! Then finished with an even better dessert, two apple cider donuts with graham cracker ice cream and coffee oreo ice cream between two chocolate chip cookies! read more

Love this place. Not only do they have great pizza and desserts, they also have some interesting beers on tap. They had Captains Daughter on tap which is a highly rated, hard to find beer. All of the flatbread selections are delicious but you need to have the cider donuts with ice cream!! Definitely one of my local go-to places when I dine with the family. read more

Of course the pizza is excellent with great draft beer choices! What really makes the whole experience perfect is the well trained waitstaff . Everything went so smoothly- no cellphones-no slacking -which ,believe me , I've seen way to often! They all seemed to enjoy their job ! This has to be thanks to the managers and owner. Can they tell some other restaurants their secret! Our server Chris deserves a big thanks! read more

Community counts. Flatbread Company just sent HHC delicious lunch to support staff. Pizza was great, salad and delicious treats. Support your local restaurants, we are a village, we are a community, we all need to succeed and continue to move forward everyday. Get takeout and go home and play on the floor with your kids!!! Thank you Flatbread Company, let the generosity and goodwill be the only thing that is contagious. read more

I like the theme of the restaurant and their commitment to local is a plus. The food is good, but I am usually left feeling hungry. I've had OK service at this spot. The location is nice, there is ample parking and they have a nice little outdoor patio for when it's al fresco type of day. I've always had the general experience that speed isn't a focus. We've tended to wait longer for food then we would have expected. read more

Hipster Sizzle Franchise. One & Done. We were in the area to visit our kids at camp and take them out for dinner. We chose Flatbread Company based on Yelp reviews and our boys comments that others had enjoyed it there as well. We were more interested in good pizza than the "story" we experienced once we arrived. We arrived at an outdoor shopping mall lined with all the national retail brands and Flatbread. The place presented well, looking like an Austin TX BBQ joint complete with distressed wood, funky signs and a large wood oven with an open kitchen for all to see. The menu is limited to salads and pizza with the menu featuring very long descriptions of what ends up to be.... pizzas. Example: "Homemade nitrate-free pepperoni with organic mushrooms, our wood-fired cauldron tomato sauce, whole milk mozzarella and imported Parmesan cheese baked on organic bread dough with homemade garlic oil and our blend of organic herbs " = Mushroom & Pepperoni pie "Our wood-fired cauldron tomato sauce" = Tomato Sauce Etc. Everyone knows that a freshly baked pizza is always good, but at $18 - $19 a pie I noticed everyone at the table reaching for salt, cheese (Kraft green box or free range?) and a mango/jalapeno sauce to season the pie. I NEVER use these things, but I did so here. Flavor was FLAT. I respect the Local / organic / etc. food movement, but doing so does not give you a free pass to overcharge for a mediocre pie, in fact it should be better than the rest, no? I liken this place to a Cold Stone Creamery, in that their customer is the high DI crowd, or those passing through the area (maybe shopping at the "mall"). This is obviously a franchise deal, like Cold Stone Creamery, so go get yourself one of these and set up outside Disney World where you will always have a stream of new customers with "vacation money" to blow and no expectation they will return, because they won't. read more

Great atmosphere and our waitress was very nice! Salad: DELICIOUS and memorable! Salad was lightly dressed and goat cheese was VERY fresh tasting! Pizza: HUGE disappointment! It was the worst pizza I had in my life...I'd rather have frozen pizza from the supermarket. It lacked sauce, cheese and overall flavor! After having a slice, my husband and I did not want any more and had to return the community gluten-free pizza. Thinking maybe just the gf pizza is bad, and the non-gf is much better as this place does have great reviews. read more

It's good pizza for it being organic. It doesn't make me go wild for it, but it's cool.

This place was such a let down and I will not be going back. The amount we paid, the pizza could have been more flavorful. Once we were seated the server gave us our drinks and then disappeared. Then it took quite a nice bit for ONE of our pizzas to arrive. Then my two girls got theirs 2-3 minutes apart. Then while everyone else was eating I was told my pizza broke and would be have to be remade. Which took another nice bit of time. So by the time I started my husband was finishing. Then nothing was said about how long everything took or even seemed like anyone cared. I'm giving two stars because the decor was cute and it wasn't the worst experience I've had. read more

We had such a great time here! Great drinks, service and the pizza is unbelievably good.

Fabulous pizza. Loved the place. Bit ok customer service. Good simple and easy to understand menu. Will go there again. Sadly there is no website, no menu available online. read more

Don't take my word for it, scroll down and read reviews before thanksgiving 2015 and after, you will see that since they changed the management, the pizza is different for the worse, the beer selection is Gone, and stocked with overpriced booze, the service has deteriorated and many people have said they will not be back The Writing is on the Wall, it's a shame that they will shut down soon, for something the old management had perfected so well! read more

I had heard so many great things about this place and I'm over there all the time, but FINALLY tried it yesterday. The place is super cool and hip. I love the fact that it's organic and fresh! The server couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. The Salad and homemade dressing was soooo good. The pizza was a ten! We will definitely be back. read more

What a unique place! Let's be clear, these are not pizzas, they are better. You can order one of the flatbreads on the menu, create your own, or order one of the 2 daily specials. The food is fantastic, the decor is rustic, and the smell is fantastic. Their wood fire oven is in plain view and causes the building to smell great! read more

Now THIS is good pizza! I was skeptical because the guy I was dating held himself in very high regard as a chef and he said this place was crap. Come to learn, he never even finished chef school, managed to make me the worst risotto I have ever consumed and had not a sense of culinary creativity in his short little body. I pleaded to try \this place and eventually he gave in. I have had 3 pizzas since my return to CT, one at Maxamia, one at Pepes and now here. This place blew them all away. Of course when I raved about it, (the now ex) changed his tune and stated "it's good, it's just a crapshoot"..I can assure you I have been here a total of 3 times and it is NOT a crapshoot. I pride myself on trying different things but I cannot tear myself away from the Homemade sausage drizzled in their homemade hot sauce. Not only is their pizza outstanding but their hot sauce is the best Ive ever had! Its not vinegary like Tabasco, it's not peppery like AZ Gunslinger. It's almost sweet with a strong kick. LOVE IT... GREAT stocking stuffer (for me). For pizza this is my go to! I just wish there was more than one! read more

This pizza place is the best I've ever been to! The pizza is so fresh and real. They even usually have a list of the ingredients the use, and where they are from, on a chalkboard. The decor is all so beautiful and colorful. There are dozens of chalkboard illustrations, globe like bright lights, and art. For kids you can draw a picture with supplies they give you, and they will put your creation in their menus. The menus have pictures drawn by customers in the front, which shows just how genuine and nice this establishment is. You can get whatever toppings you imagine, but no matter what you get it will be delicious. They also have wonderful sauces, salads, and deserts! Often times they will have gluten free items, including pizza, on the list. Just two example of the deserts there are brownie Sunday's, and woopie pies, which are both delicious. They also have amazing ice cream, like graham central station, which is the best ice cream I've ever tasted, and a graham cracker flavor. Even their vanilla ice cream is some of the best. All in all highly recommend this incredible restraint. read more

Great local beer, pizza is no joke delicious, environment is perfect. I love this place.

Wow, the service was absolutely non exsistent, was not greeted and no signs of staff. Stood at the door for over 10 minutes with a group of people standing behind me. Then sat at the bar, no one bothered coming up. Finally I saw someone and asked if she could get a bartender. 5 minutes later, the people at the door where still there and were not attended to and the bartender never came. I hear the pizza is good, if you want to wait an hour for it... next stop, joes pizza!!! read more

This is by far, the best pizza place in CT. Their pizza's are almost deconstructed and have ingredients I'd never expect to find on pizza. Each time I go, I order off their specials menu and 8/10 times I'm usually amazed. My favorites have been a cheeseburger pizza as well as one where the typical red sauce was replaced with a sweet potato purée and goat cheese. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a special, weird, and amazing tasting pizza experience. read more

If you're a true pizza connoisseur, this is the place for you. Made with local, organic ingredients and wood-fire right in front of you, Flatebread is epic! Every single time I've come here, the staff has been friendly and the food has been phenomenal. read more

First time here last night before dance party and man...what have I been missing? The vegan pizza is almost as good as the one I make!!! The larges could be larger for the price, but no complaints otherwise!!! Definitely a must-check if you're in the Avon/Canton area. read more

I love that Flatbread supports local organizations! The Tuesday benefit nights are the best. I also love that they have gluten-free options (pizza, beer, and desserts).
